Private Country Farmhouse Just Minutes From Auburn University

Located just 7 miles from downtown Auburn and Auburn University in the sleepy historic town of Loachapoka, this house is ideal for families coming to tour the University, sporting events, graduation, or for a simple country getaway.
The MilkBarn Guesthouse was originally built in 1940 as a cow milking barn. Fully renovated in 2017 as a guesthouse, it has a full kitchen with all new appliances, heart pine countertops, gorgeous bathroom with a clawfoot tub [please note this tub has a shower hose feature but no walk-in shower], and sleeping loft. Entertainment includes free wifi, a Samsung Smart TV with all the streaming, a DVD/Blueray player, hundreds of DVDs, and a vintage Wii with 4 remotes and games. The living room is cozy with an electric fireplace console. On the walls you’ll find framed show posters and art by local artists. Outside is a large, fully fenced-in yard with gate, and a deck with picnic table. Parking is onsite and plentiful.

Sleeps 6, open floor plan, private, and quiet. The loft features 2 twin beds, perfect for the little explorers. Main floor features a queen bed, double bed, and a futon which expands to a queen.
Owner lives on adjacent property with a shared drive and fence line. Very peaceful and private, yet convenient to charming Auburn and less than 5 minutes from University Staion RV Park.
We are located 5 miles from the Auburn University Vet School and Wire Road Soccer Complex.

Pet Policy:
We welcome well-behaved house-trained dogs who are up to date on shots. The Milk Barn yard is fully fenced when the gate is closed, but we ask that dogs not be left outdoors unattended for long periods or outdoors overnight. This is for their safety. Please confirm you’ve read the pet policy when placing your reservation. Thanks!

We went down for a college visit, and left feeling more rested than we had in weeks. The place was exactly as described, Check-in was a cinch, and the space was so charming. Layout, decor, amenities, all well-thought out. One thing is for sure,..everybody needs a little Milk barn in their lives! Thank you for sharing your space with us!! We hope to stay here again!

Absolutely wonderful! It was EXYREMELY clean & cool enough for us in hot, July. We wanted ice for drinks & the freezer was not working, so that was the only issue with the stay. We will definitely come back.

This space was an absolute dream come true!!! My family and I stopped here on the way from Houston, and the cozy, welcoming environment and secluded location was PERFECT! Our dogs absolutely loved the yard, and the home was so pet-friendly. I wish I was driving through Auburn again just so I could stay here.

We have stayed at the Milk Barn several times and have loved each stay. From the wonderful communication from Wales to the clean and accommodating house everything creates a perfect stay. Our dogs love running in the fenced in yard and Wayles thinks of every detail to created a great visit for guests.

My boyfriend and I loved it here! We forgot about the time change and we were able to get in early. Place was adorable and has a lot of entertainment between Blu-rays, Wii games, family games. We absolutely loved the bathtub and the rustic appeal of the place. We will definitely be coming back!

The Milk Barn is a beautiful, quite place. My family loved it all! The kiddos enjoyed the loft. The couches are perfect to lounge in and watch tv. The owner has thought of everything that you may need. Well stocked kitchen, large bathroom. We would definitely stay again if we are in the area and it is available! 10/10
