Super modern and fresh. We are located on a quiet tree-lined Cul-de-Sac, steps away from trendy Main Street where you can find pretty much any type of cuisine that you crave! We are also located steps away from a main transit line that can connect you to skytrain. You are footsteps away from restaurants, grocery stores, a liquor store, cool shops and many local clothing stores! We are also walking distance to Queen Elizabeth Park, Nat Bailey Stadium and Hillcrest Community Centre.

Main Street Getaway

The basement apartment was perfect for our family to stay in. The location was only a 1 minute walk to Main Street and lots of restaurants, supermarkets and interesting stores. The Queen Elizabeth park and Bloedel Conservatory as well as a big recreation centre with pools, ice rink, oval and various sporting facilities were only a 5-10 minute walk in the opposite direction. The park and Conservatory were highlights for our daughter who enjoyed the ducks, geese and squirrels in the park, and the birds and mice in the Conservatory. The apartment had everything we needed for a great stay with plenty of room to move around and the ability to cook basic meals and do laundry meant we could save money. Beds were okay. If you are a light sleeper you may hear footsteps from above. The number 3 bus is just around the corner and will take you downtown to waterfront, and the number 25 bus is only a few blocks away which will take you to Nanaimo train station on the expo line. Great meals at Bbq chicken (the wings were amazing and cheap on Wednesday), and amazing 5hr slow cooked lamb with sides at The Main restaurant were highlights. Cheap and amazing cakes and pastries at Zeeka cafe around the corner was another favourite. Some of our favourite stores to wander through were Red Cat records, Strategies game store who had an amazing board game selection and Front and Company had the most amazing store full of interesting stuff, toys, jewellery, stickers and just general cool stuff.

Another Superb Stay

This is the 2nd time we have stayed here for a month, and the experience is nothing short of faultless again. The place has everything you need, is in a superb location for the city, buses, trains etc, and Main street is only 100m away. The Hosts are friendly and accommodating people, who make it a very pleasant experience. No hesitations staying again.

Nice place

Lovely area. Communication was great. There were a couple of little hitches such as the keypad playing up but we were supplied with actual keys. The owners were super nice and apologetic for the inconvenience, which actually wasn’t an issue at all

Perfect as advertised

Our group of four adults spent four very comfortable nights at Riley Park. Access to restaurants, public transport and shops was great as was our communication with hosts who were available when needed. Accomodation was well supplied with necessities, tourist brochures and very clean. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay and have no hesitation in recommending.

Perfect Stay

Location is excellent. So near to Main Street for shops and the buses and trains. Everything you could need is supplied. Communication with owners was superb, even on Christmas Day! We stayed for 3 weeks and plan on returning again soon! Thanks for a lovely stay Chrissie and Romeo

OUR WEEK IN VANCOUVER

Highly exceeded our expectations in both standard of accommodation and facilities. Excellent location - 200m to bus and great rail system, as well as many dining options and local supermarket/s, general shops in Main Street. Yellow cabs cost $30-$35 either way from main airport. We used public transport for all our sightseeing - no need to hire a car even to visit Whistler for a day trip. Although we had very little interaction with the hosts they were readily available and happy to provide any information we required before and during our stay. WE HIGHLY RECOMMEND THIS PROPERTY

Halloween fun

Our family stayed in Christina and Romeo's place for 3 weeks during our visit from Australia to see family in Vancouver. It was ideal in every way from location to amenities (especially having the washing machine & dryer!). Public transport, shops and so many good cafes and eateries just around the corner, plus the little kitchen meant we could enjoy just 'living like locals' for a few weeks. Our little 3 year old really enjoyed the Halloween time - especially the decorations on & around Christina's home - and going out on the night and joining in like all of the other kids. Communication was great from the first email and the place was clean, neat and cosy. I highly recommend this as a great place to stay.

Fantastic place to stay!

Recently stayed to attend a concert at the Doug Mitchell Thunderbird Stadium which was a $16 Uber ride away (approx 10). This location is around the corner from trendy Main Street which had great shopping and lots of cute coffee shops and pubs! We attended a Farmers Market on Saturday morning which was only a couple of blocks away, which was a highlight of our stay. The VRBO is cozy, with extremely comfortable pillows/mattresses. Chrissy was a great host who was prompt and clear with communication. Would absolutely stay again!

We had a wonderful stay in this apartment. Easy to get downtown via bus, but also restaurants and markets close by. Apartment has everything you need and the hosts have been very friendly and responsive. Would choose again.

wonderful location

Stayed 2 nights with my adult daughters celebrating 2 birthdays. The location couldn’t have been more perfect! We loved shopping at all of the nearby thrift stores & it was awesome to be close enough to walk home with a load of our purchases & use the bathroom before heading back out to continue our day.. Wonderful!

The basement apartment is delightful. Clean, quiet and well appointed for comfort. The neighborhood is perfect for walking and for catching the bus or skytrain to get downtown or beyond. Great cafes and grocery shopping just steps away. We spent 6 nights and this gave us plenty of time to enjoy a taste of beautiful Vancouver. Christina and Romeo are lovely hosts and available for suggestions on eateries and getting around.

We are a family of three and live upstairs. We enjoy our neighbourhood quite alot. We love all the little shops and restaurants so close to us within walking distance. We love to travel to Mexico for our family vacations and enjoy being home and making it our oasis in the summer.

Why they chose this property

We chose to buy this property because of the awesome neighbourhood it is in! We are located in the heart of a hip and trendy area. Great for families or the curious traveller(s)! Phenomenal restaurants abound: The Reef, Acorn, Meet on Main (Vegan), Chickpea (Vegan) Sawasdee Thai, Sula (Indian) East is East (Middle Eastern), Locus, Chaise, Portland Craft and Rocky Mountain Flatbread (great place to take the kids) to name a few. If you love to shop there is so many cute little shops to peruse!

We are also situated close to Nat Bailey Stadium (watch a ball game in the summer), Hillcrest Community Centre (Swimming Pool & Ice Rink) and Beautiful Queen Elizabeth Park (fantastic Restaurant called Seasons in the Park - Highly recommended).
