Large apartment in the historical center of Favignana (Egadian Islands, Sicily)

The apartment is situated on the first and last floor of a XIX century Favignana house, walking distance from the harbour and the central square in a very quiet area. Its windows look on the village rooftops, on a typical little street and on one of the famous gardens grown in the ancient limestone quarries that are spread around the island. The apartment has a balcony and a 20 sqm terrace at its first level and several terraces covering more than 100 sqm on the roof, from which one can admire the village, the Levanzo island and the Saint Catherine mountain and castle. Both the first-level and roof decks are fully equipped with tables chairs, beach chairs and shady areas. The roof deck has a wonderful veranda.
The 100 sqm apartment has a large living room with a fitted open kitchen accessing the terrace, two large independent double bedrooms, another large connecting room that can sleep one more person and two bathrooms with shower. All the rooms are historical, with vaulted ceilings and ceramic floors in Trapanese style. From the connecting room, a private internal staircase leads to a small indoor space with large windows opening on the rooftop veranda.
No need for a car! You can walk home from the harbour in a few minutes and all services (bike rentals, coffee, restaurants and markets) are close by. For swimming, several coves are walking or bike distance from home.

Beautiful apartment in a fab area just 5 minutes from the centre. We loved our stay - with two adults, a baby, and toddler it was the perfect amount of space! It had all the amenities we needed to cook at the apartment which we did a few times, as well as a beach umbrella we used to visit the beach. The host was very quick to respond to messages, and extremely helpful.Would recommend - For families or adults it’s a great base to explore Favignana.

The perfect place to stay in Favignana

I can't recommend Giuseppe's place enough. It is on a quiet street but literally 2-3 minutes from the nearest restaurant, wine bar, gelateria, bakery and 5 minutes from the nearest supermarket. The location is perfect but so is the apartment itself. We loved the outside spaces (and the hammock!) and the beautiful interior decor. The apartment is spacious and has absolutely everything we needed for an easy self-catering holiday. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again if I go back to Favignana. We were 3 adults and 2 children (both 10 yrs old) and we all absolutely loved it and did not want to leave.

Fantastic Experience!

We had an excellent stay. Giuseppe's place is situated in a perfect location for those who are looking to enjoy all the amenities of town without giving up access to the beaches. The space is incredibly clean, spacious, and functional. We especially enjoyed the roof terrace! Giuseppe was also very helpful throughout our stay. Not only was he prompt in addressing all of our logistical concerns, but he also provided us with excellent dining and swimming suggestions. Overall, we had a fantastic experience in Favignana and we will definitely be returning to Giuseppe's place again in the future!

Una casa perfetta. Una grande casa in centro, arredata con gusto, autentica. Cucina completa di tutto, grande terrazzo sul tetto con un cucinotto, amaca e lettini, noi abbiamo cenato lì diverse volte, l'atmosfera è bellissima. Gli spazi sono ampi, c'è un terrazzo più piccolo vicino alla cucina comodissimo per tenere le cose del mare, lavare i costumi e dove si trova anche la lavatrice. La signora Rosanna è davvero gentile e molto disponibile. Tutto perfetto.

Una casa familiare ricca di personalità!

L'alloggio è spazioso, confortevole e dotato di tutte le comodità. È ricco di personalità: come osservato in altre recensioni, si tratta di una vera "casa", non di un appartamento creato solo per ii turisti. L'arredamento, i soprammobili, lampade, stampe e tanti dettagli riflettono l'amore dei proprietari per Favignana e l'interesse per culture internazionali. Il grande terrazzo pieno di piante è particolarmente gradevole per rilassanti soste sull'amaca (sonnellini inclusi!), o per cenare ammirando gli splendidi colori del cielo verso il tramonto. La comunicazione con Giuseppe e la signora Rosanna è stata ottima, con risposte veloci alle nostre domande e un'estrema disponibilità e gentilezza a partire dal momento della prenotazione fino alla partenza. Grazie di aver contribuito a rendere indimenticabile il nostro soggiorno in questa bellissima isola!

Soggiorno a Favignana

La casa è meravigliosa, arredata con ottimo gusto e molto spaziosa. Inoltre è fornita di tutto il necessario per un soggiorno perfetto. La posizione è ideale, a due minuti a piedi dalla piazza principale ma in una via molto tranquilla. Il punto forte è sicuramente la terrazza superiore, dove abbiamo potuto fare aperitivo e colazioni con una vista meravigliosa. Consiglio vivamente questa casa.

Quando la casa è ingrediente fondamentale per la riuscita della vacanza

Un piacere sincero passare una settimana in questa bellissima casa d’epoca ristrutturata e curata, dall’anima accogliente, di grande personalità, Fresca. Letti comodi. Pulizia.Spazi da vivere. Terrazzìno in cui poter consumare i pasti circondato da bellissime piante. Terrazza ventilata all’ultimo piano con sdraio, amaca , tavolo e sedie, doccia esterna. Uno spazio in cui trascorrere facilmente ore di relax totale senza sentire la necessità di uscire. Silenziosa perché defilata dalle vie più centrali (distano 1 minuto a piedi comunque). Cucina ben accessoriata. 2 bagni. Faccio i complimenti ai proprietari e alla signora Rosanna che ci ha accolto: è una casa vera, non una semplice casa vacanza per turisti; pensata e amata, Così ti ritrovi ad amarla anche tu ( come anche ad amare l’isola tutta)e a volerla tenere al meglio: dall’eseguire una corretta raccolta differenziata, a cercare di risparmiare l’acqua (così preziosa qui), a imparare a chiudere bene porte e finestre per non farle sbattere al vento, a curare le piante sui terrazzi…Ricca la scelta dei libri sulla Sicilia. Insomma, la nostra vacanza non avrebbe avuto lo stesso sapore in una casa diversa.

Splendida casa nel centro di Favignana

La casa di Giuseppe e Camilla è favolosa, in pieno stile favignanese conserva pavimenti liberty e in cementine siciliane e soffitti a volta. E' arredata con grande gusto, estremamente accogliente, presenta ampi spazi ed è molto luminosa! é super attrezzata, dalla cucina che contiene proprio di tutto, alla meravigliosa terrazza (con cucina annessa e doccia esterna), ai condizionatori o pale a soffitto nelle camere. La posizione è centralissima, 4 minuti a piedi dalla piazza centrale, ma in una via laterale e quindi lontano dalla confusione. Non avremmo potuto trovare soluzione migliore per la nostra vacanza! Torneremo sicuramente! un grazie particolare a Rosanna, sempre disponibile a ogni nostra richiesta!

Un appartamento splendido

Ci e’ piaciuta molto la posizione centralissima ma tranquilla. Le terrazze sono favolose, con lavandini di marmo e possibilita’ di cucinare dentro e fuori. L’appartamento e’ molto spazioso e decorato con gusto. La cucina e’ attrezzatissima se piace cucinare. Favignana tra cielo e mare

È molto difficile trovare una casa vacanze che ti faccia sentire come a casa tua…la casa di Giuseppe, con la sua energia e il suo calore unici, ci è riuscita in pieno. Posizionata nel centro di Favignana lontana dal caos delle vie principali, ha una terrazza fantastica da cui ammirare bei panorami e un cielo meraviglioso, anche dopo un temporale improvviso. Grazie Giuseppe per aver condiviso la tua casa piena di belle cose e libri interessanti! Chissà se un giorno riusciremo a tornare! Comoda e con charme

Abbiamo apprezzato tutto di questa casa: la posizione centrale, ma fuori dalla confusione. La disposizione, i pavimenti con le vecchie cementine, la scelta dei colori, le terrazze! Che spettacolo guardare sui tetti della città godendo il fresco della sera. La cava piena di alberi alle spalle dell’appartamento offre un senso di frescura e incredibilmente neanche una zanzara!! Ottimo l’allestimento della cucina e i lavandini esterni molto comodi per lavare all’aperto. La casa è fresca nonostante il gran caldo di questa estate, tanto da usare poco l’aria condizionata e preferire le pale a soffitto. La signora Rosanna che ha cura della casa è stata particolarmente gentile e quindi per noi è stata una gran bella vacanza in una casa piena di charme.

Ampio e caratteristico appartamento a Favignana in zona tranquilla e con dei terrazzi favolosi!

Bell'appartamento nel centro di Favignana, provvisto di tutto e di più. L'unico suggerimento che potremmo fare ai proprietari è di mettere le zanzariere nelle camere da letto, per poter usufruire del poco di aria fresca durante la notte. Per il resto niente da obiettare.

praticamente perfetta

Per chi vuole stare in paese, non riusciamo (coppia con due figli) a pensare a qualcosa di meglio. Posizione centrale ma tranquilla e fuori dalla confusione. Casa splendida sia come spazi (ampi e funzionali) che come atmosfera (almeno per i nostri gusti), fornita di tutto (cucina e attrezzi relativi, condizionatori nuovi - per chi vuole-, due bagni, grandi terrazzi), luminosa, allegra e rilassante. Il terrazzo superiore, poi, è magnifico (la scala interna però è tanto ben fatta quanto inevitabilmente angusta, lo segnaliamo solo per chi avesse difficoltà di movimento): grandissimo e con vista praticamente a 360 gradi (mare compreso). Diciamo che la sconsiglieremmo solo a chi ama la freddezza precisa e un po' asettica di un albergo (per carità, son gusti...). Per parte nostra, speriamo di tornare prestissimo. N&R

Favignana seduced us due to its extraordinary natural beauty, its landscapes, its ancient limestone quarries turned into gardens, its marvellous coves and its turquoise water. It is an island of century old traditions which has preserved its charm and its authenticity, including a sublime cuisine. Moreover, it is part of a fully protected archipelago and is a perfect base for visiting a large number of unique natural, historical and archeological sites, such as the other two Egadian islands (Levanzo and Marettimo), the barocco city of Trapani, with its still functioning salt marshes, the Phoenician island of Mozia, the village of Erice and the ancient city of Marsala.

We fell in love with this apartment that allows at the same time to enjoy village life and to escape it easily towards nature and sea by bike or walk, but also to find a quiet and comfortable living environment thanks to the perfect arrangement of its inside and outdoors spaces.
