Escape to Oak Island with expansive oceanfront views and a cozy beach cottage. Take a stroll down the beach to nearby Oceancrest Pier or the Island Way Restaurant for a local's favorite dinner!

This home was renovated in 2021 to include vinyl flooring throughout, coastal themed painted interior, and an oceanfront back deck where you can watch the waves crash along the shoreline.

Enter into the open style floor plan that includes a large sectional and two accent chairs centered around the flat screen Smart TV with DVD player and looking out over the dunes and onto the beach. The kitchen and dining area flow off the living room. You will find an island perfect for prepping your next meal along with a stainless steel refrigerator, dishwasher and microwave. The dining area offers a table with seating for seven to go along with three additional seats at the bar.

Past the kitchen the hallway leads to a pair of bedrooms and a shared bathroom. Both bedrooms are equipped with a queen bed and ample closet space. The shared full bathroom provides a modern vanity and walk-in shower.

The the stairs you will find the final two bedrooms and another shared bathroom. One room is finished with a pair of double beds while the latter offers a pair of twin beds. The full bathroom is finished with a tub and vanity as well. The twin bedroom also offers a television equipped with a DVD player. Guests may bring their own streaming device to allow for more varied entertainment if they would like.

Centrally located on Oak Island, Aw Shucks is convenient to local activities, shops, and restaurants, as well as the bridge leading to historic Southport and its numerous shops and historic points of interest. So whether your idea of a vacation is taking long naps in the island breeze, exploring local landmarks, or teeing up for 18 holes at one of the area's playable but challenging golf courses, you will find your island home at Aw Shucks!

Perfect house on the perfect beach

Great house for our family of four. Great porch & deck on the beach site, colorful deck chairs. On the beach, great quiet beach too. No direct access to the beach though (unless you walk over the dune, which is prohibited), need to walk 2 blocks down to the nearest beach access. We were there for spring break, no beach chairs & beach towels & beach toys that we could locate at the property, i assume there were in some closet, but we could not locate them - bring some just in case, of get done from the nearby stores. Great restaurants on the island, we ordered from many, almost every lunch/dinner. We could have also cooked, kitchen was well stocked with pans & pots, not so much on spices/oil/, but again grocery store was very very close. Would recommend to friends, and would happily return! Both the house and the island were just great...and the beach, just perfect...
