Cheerful and bright, this studio is located In a quiet neighborhood overlooking Hilo. The studio occupies the first floor of 2 story home. It has a private entrance and parking on site. A full private bathroom is adjacent to the studio. Guests have access to a large downstair's lanai surrounded by tropical gardens, cooled by the tradewinds, and an ocean view. A perfect place to relax in the hammock Hawaiian style! Washer and Dryer available ($5 fee per load, w/soap). This lovely private studio has everything one needs for a comfortable island stay! Conveniently located about 2.5 miles from downtown Hilo, local beaches, and parks. University of Hawaii and shopping are close by, and the airport is just 10 minutes away. Situated in a quiet neighborhood overlooking Hilo Town (elevation approx. 200ft)), the property has beautiful views, cool breezes, and nice gardens, which all lend to a welcoming, peaceful, and relaxing atmosphere. Studio kitchenette has a small refrigerator, microwave, hot plate, cook ware, dishes, and coffee maker or press. Ceiling fan keeps you cool, and TV and hi-speed wifi keep you connected! The studio has a queen bed which is suitable for 2 guests. There is a 2 night minimum stay. Special requests are reviewed on a case by case basis. Please contact host with questions and requests.

Jane's place lives up to its name. It was so cozy staying there. The place is well stocked. We appreciate her attention to detail. She was also really nice and gracious with offering us to relax at her lenai.

Our recent stay at the Cozy Hilo Studio was 5 Star for every reason! Pleasant and Welcoming just as pictured however the surprise is the spacious covered lanai which overlooks a beautiful & private landscaped front yard. Super easy to connect with our Host. Large easy parking space is well lighted at night after returning from adventures in Hilo or viewing Kilauea Volcano. Nice size kitchenette & bathroom. Mattress & bedding were high quality. Lots of natural light. Highly recommend staying here if you have the chance.

Perfect home base with gracious host

Jane's place is a beautiful home right in town but somehow totally secluded. She was there to greet us when we arrived and had great advice for getting the most out of the time we had here, and there was delicious homemade banana bread!

Great accomodations, great location. For our brief stay in Hilo we couldn't have had a better experience. just wish we'd planned for more time on the big island. This Sweet & Cozy Studio was just what we needed. Central to all of our plans and adventures. Will definitely consider staying there again.

Perfect Studio

This was an amazing find! The unit was spotless and so comfortable with a nice bed, cute kitchenette and nice bathroom. If staying in Hilo for a few days, I recommend staying here. The hostess is so helpful and nice! Next time we are in Hilo, we’ll definitely be staying here again.

Very nice and clean studio. We felt right at home. Just as we we got comfortable it was already time to checkout. Definitely will come back to this studio next time we visit the Big Island.

Very simple & peaceful getaway

From the frogs at night to the location of the property, you’re close to things that you need (albeit you need a car) but it’s a gorgeous place and a very quaint studio. It was clean, spacious, and quiet. I fully appreciated the property manager and her welcome and warm personality.

This place was a find, a gem! I'm from Hilo, born and raised, moved to Maui in 92. Came home to visit family and show my partner where I'm from. This quant little studio was perfect. It has everything you need and more! Location was awesome, and nights were cool and breezy! Large covered patio around a garden setting with a table and chairs and a hammock, spent the mornings there enjoying coffee and the sunshine and the yard! Highly recommend this place! Jane is awesome to communicate with and even had banana bread for us upon arrival to the unit! Fresh anthurium bouquets in the unit as well! This is my go to place now when I visit Hilo my home! Convenient studio for 1-2 persons

I stayed 2 nights at this lovely studio hosted by Jane while doing a marathon on Big Island. It’s located in a quiet neighborhood, and has a small kitchen for simple cooking that meets my needs. Jane is very friendly and gave me some extra time at checkout.

Fantastic relaxing studio with beautiful lanai

Jane is a great host. Her studio unit is spacious and she provided everything we wanted for our stay. This is our second time here. It was so peaceful and quiet. The lanai is huge with a hammock, dining table, lounge chair and even an exercise area. The banana bread and oranges off her trees were a nice bonus.

Excellent quiet, peaceful get-away

This cozy studio is not close to downtown, but we found that there really is not a "downtown happening" area in Hilo and we had a car so it was no issue. The place was clean, quiet and so peaceful. The breeze coming in the open windows at night was delightful. Jane's garden and landscaping around the house was so beautiful. It was perfect for us to come "home" to after exploring during the day. We HIGHLY recommend this place as your home in Hilo.
