This is a gem and you’d be missing out by not staying. Doug and Yvonne are amazing and some of the nicest hosts I’ve ever had. The property is beautiful and falling asleep to the sound of the stream next to the cabin was perfect after long days at Yellowstone. They even provided suggestions for places to eat in Cody. We can’t wait to stop again and hope it’s available.
Such a calm, peaceful location to spend time with family. We used this cabin as a base for our adventures to Yellowstone. Gracious hosts helped to make our stay more enjoyable
My husband and I came to Wapiti as a midway point for our weekend in Yellowstone. Our stay was brief, but so nice. The cozy cabin is very comfortable quaint. We enjoyed sitting on the deck and listening to the creek. We would love to come back and stay.
This was an amazing getaway from the hassles of everyday life! Spending time playing cards with my family next to a creek with a beautiful scenery was one of our favorite things to do together! The owners were amazing and we loved getting to know them! They went out of their way to make our vacation one of the best!
Short beautiful drive from Cody and to East entrance of Yellowstone. Yvonne gave us great tips on our trip to Yellowstone as we had never been. Little shop including gas only a few miles down the road. Great place to unwind and unplug.
Beautiful Cabin away from the craziness of Yellowstone, Cody
My wife, 5 year old son and I went on a trip to Yellowstone, and stayed for 5 days. The cabin was clean, roomy, and had enough space. The actual property is gorgeous, and we loved waking up every morning to the sights of horses with the Western background of the red mountains. It was 30 minutes from the Yellowstone entrance, and 25 minutes from Cody. Even though it was remote, it didn't feel remote. We had many things to do in the area. Cody was super cool, and we loved Trail Town (great for the kid).
Keep in mind... this is a cabin, not a hotel room. That is to say, it is an old building, and it is a bit drafty, and there were many bugs, which is to be expected. If you don't like nature, perhaps this cabin is not for you. But we loved it... The shower is hot, and the kitchen (although it has no burners, or cooking items, or utensils) was fine for prepping simple meals.
The owners Doug and Yvonne were fantastic, and very friendly, without being imposing. They let us do what we want, and we walked the property, and even offered to play with our son (boat races in the creek!). They were welcoming hosts.
Overall, this was an A+ experience, and I would recommend it for nature lovers, and small families (two adults, two kids max), and others who would spend a lot of time away from the cabin, but who wants a serene cabin to return to. Loved it!
The cabin was amazing.
Cozy Cabin was clean, well kept, and comfortable. The property was beautiful and the location was perfect.
10/10 would stay again.
Reserving this cozy cabin was made easy by your website. Contact with the owner by messaging was a nice feature and relieved my fears about any misinformation I had about the location. The owners were very accommodating and property was as advertised and more ! Thanks for a wonderful stay ( first time user of VRbo )
This cabin was a peaceful retreat from the traffic of Yellowstone. The setting was beautiful: the edge of the mountains between Yellowstone and Cody with a creek running beside the cabin and a scenic front-porch view. The cabin was equipped with all we needed, but we spent so many hours at Yellowstone, we didn't take time to just relax and enjoy the space like we could have. Yvonne was so accommodating! She responded quickly when we inquired about booking. She provided information about the area and insider tips for visiting the park and nearby points of interest. We only stayed 3 nights but wished it could have been more. I would certainly recommend the cabin for your Yellowstone area visit.
It was a wonderful stay but too bad we had to work the whole time we were there. The sound of the creek was very relaxing & really made for a good sleep after a long day!
The cabin and Wapiti were a perfect base for our Yellowstone trip. We loved visiting with the horses each day and listening to the creek each night.
