This was an absolutely magical place! Peaceful, breathtaking views, clean fresh water in the lake, perfectly appointed kitchen, one couldn't ask for more. Our two yellow labs loved the lake and grass and we appreciated a very dog friendly house and property. Highly recommend!

Amazing location and property grounds! The house itself (especially kitchen and bathrooms) are dated. The
This house was perfect for our three generations, ages 6 months to 72. Kitchen was well-equipped, game room, outdoor toys, zipline over the pond, enormous grassy field, and an outstanding view of Mt Shasta. Easy check in, and minimal check-out requirements. Our only negative is that we didn't book for more days!
This is a perfect place to come with multiple age family members.
Beautiful views, relaxing for adults . Huge lawn for outdoor games, lovely swimming hole big enough to paddle board. We love it here!
We had such a great time at this property! It’s a winter wonderland there right now and we had a ball in the snow! The pizza place the property recommends was fantastic. Thanks to Wendy for the great communication, I hope we find a reason to go back.
Our family had a Celebration of Life family gathering here for our mom. It was a magically healing place where we could all stay together, in a relaxed, delightful place.
What a special property…truly fantastic. So quiet, tranquil and beautiful! Beds were all super comfy and kitchen was incredibly well stocked. You can tell the owners put a lot of thought into every detail!
We enjoyed our Winter Holiday stay and can't wait to try out the place for a Summer stay. So many things to do and see. Something for every age. SUPER CLEAN! Highly recommend.
There is so much to do here between the private pond, hiking trail, game room, ping pong and billiards tables, etc that we enjoyed a perfect getaway with our private social bubble while staying safe and away from public areas. Local hiking trails were also beautiful.

We loved this place so much. It was very family friendly, equipped with all of the necessities plus snow toys and lots of games. Perfect getaway with the kids and grandkids. Close to lots of snow play areas and to town for supplies or restaurants .
And the venue itself is like a secluded retreat .
The host deserves a great deal of credit for providing clear and concise information about the property. The property is comfortable, quiet, great for a large group. The view of Mt Shasta is absolutely gorgeous. Very memorable for us!!
The kids are already begging to go back! The pond (zip line!!), the sandy mini beach, the view, the garage games, the proximity to lake for hikes-a ln unexpected gem in remote Mount Shasta!!

Would love to have you and the kids back Heather. Thanks for the review and for staying with us.
Beautiful property with tons to do. Only complaint was an old heater in the guest bedroom, the noise it was making made it difficult for a couple folks to sleep.

Thanks again Sam, we appreciate the feedback and I'll look into that heater situation right away!
So fun. Great people, great place and the location was perfect. Super close to town and only a quick drive to Shasta ski resort. We hope to come back in the summertime for some fly fishing and fun times. Love that the kitchen was so well equipped for the size of our group and the master sweet bed, linens and pillows were dreamy.

About the host
Hosted by Wendy
Greetings! My name is Wendy and I had a dream to create a space where you could enjoy nature, dream and think. A place where healing occurs and kids run free to explore the world around them just like the good ol' days. Spent much of my career in the investment business in SF, grew up outside Chicago and I enjoy yoga, traveling and learning. I've travelled extensively worldwide and must say, Mt. Shasta ranks at the top of my list of places I could settle down and enjoy life.
Why they chose this property
Growing up in the Midwest, I missed the change of seasons and Mt. Shasta is glorious throughout the year. The people are so friendly and warm, the quaint mountain town is quite 'hip' and it is an easy, four hour drive from San Francisco. The area is ripe with outdoor activities all year long and it is not crowded like other California mountain towns!
What makes this property unique
The property was set up for small or large groups to enjoy. Sit and gaze at the mountain or enjoy the sounds of Wagon Creek flowing by while breathing the fresh air from the forest. Plenty to do and see right on the property. Swim in the pond, ride the zip line, hike the trail, have a ping-pong tournament, foosball or dance under the night sky. Read, meditate, play a game or catch up on some much needed rest. It's all here and available! We can also help with other outside services if needed. You name it, we'll try and help!
I've had such wonderful feedback from all of our guest so far as to what a special place Bodhana is and how the pictures do not do it justice. Many have said it was their best vacation that they can remember. There is plenty of space on the property so you do not feel crowded and have room to roam. You can do as much or as little as you'd like. Town is a couple of miles away and has plenty of services, restaurants, stores if desired. If you are interested in unrehearsed living, come explore Bodhana!
