Cozy Lakehome Retreat In Wooded Setting 50 Feet From The Shore Of Lake Superior
This is our smaller family cabin, which is has been decorated lodge style with its stone fireplace and sun room abutting the woods and its view of Lake Superior which is just yards away. It is a great retreat/special occasion spot which we rent to only one or two people at a time.
It has an open concept kitchen, dining, living room which lead to the sun room and large deck overlooking the woods and lake. Walk from steps of the deck down to the shore for skipping stones on the lake, a fire in the fire pit, an early morning sunrise over the lake or evening cocktails on the shoreline. Well-equipped with cooking necessities.
The is an end unit in The Lakehomes on Superior with no one above or below you. The property has nearly 1/2 mile of shoreline and walking trails on the property. There is a full service restaurant adjacent to the lake homes overlooking the lake shore.
Two Harbors is a mile away with restaurants, an expansive waterfront with hiking trails and lighthouse. There is also a nice little museum. There are 6 state parks as you continue driving north which provide wonderful hiking and beautiful views of the Lake and rivers.
There is an outdoor pool and hot tub that are open from Memorial day to Labor day. There are also 2 tennis/pickleball courts.

We stayed here for a weekend getaway to Two Harbors and North Shore area, and were so happy that we chose this as our home base! It is super close to Two Harbors, but was also close to our hike at Split Rock Lighthouse. We were very impressed with how clean and cozy the space was. Would definitely stay again!
This was a terrific surprise when we opened up the door to find ourselves transformed into a cabin with all the knotty pine floors, woodwork, furniture and decor!
We were in an end unit in a private townhouse development in the woods (with access to waterfront located on a flood bay of Lake Superior) so the setting was truly peaceful.
As it was November, we were probably one of few visitors staying at the town homes in this development.
More than likely it bustles with activity in the warmer months.
The size was perfect for 2 adults, with a small kitchenette, full dining table, 2 sitting areas, a large bedroom and full bath. There was a beautiful handpainted mural with birch trees in the bathroom, and at every turn the decor was reminiscent of a wooded retreat.
There was also a wood-burning fireplace which we didn't get to use, but this trip was perfect for a central location for accessing 4 of the nearby MN state parks as part of the statewide Hiking Club.
We would love to return in the winter months and try snowshoeing and even snowmobiling in the area.
Thank you for sharing your beautiful place!
Wonderful stay at this property. Nestled in a forest, with a view of a Lake Superior bay. A short walk to a rock outcropping which afforded me a wonderful view of the lake, where I set up a reclining beach chair.
Spent my mornings bicycling the paved Gitchi-Gami trail along a section of the north coast; a good workout with changing elevations. Afternoons were spent basking in the sun at Pebble Beach (Split Rock Lighthouse State Park), with intermittent plunges into 63 degree waters.
Much to see and do on the north shore. A great property for a home base.
Used this wonderful place as our base while bike riding the northshore -- it was perfect. Comfortable bed, great deck and a stones throw from the water. Lots of good raspberry picking too!
1. Thought we were renting a stand alone cabin not combined condo.
2. Was described as on Lake Superior-was on a bay.
3. Bed was very uncomfortably firm.
4. The TV streaming needs to be improved--most things required a subscription or trial to view?????
5. Furnished beautifully, all necessities covered, beautiful floor!
6. Very, very quiet!
7. Pool well maintained, hot tube was not useable.
8. Grounds well maintained; Two Harbors area is very friendly and nice!
This was a nice little space that was quiet and away from the business. There was a view of the was from the deck and could walk to the shore from the property. Very nice stay!
This place was in a great location to run Grandmas Marathon. Close to start line.
The cabin was well decorated and cozy comfy. Well stocked with everything you can need. Two harbors was a great small town, with yummy food and a great brewery.
I wished the community hot tub was working, as that would have been great after a marathon.
The only complaint I have is that while the bed sheets were cozy, the bed itself sunk in towards the middle and was not quite comfortable, so the mattress may need to be updated.
We would definitely come back.
We stayed in Two Harbors to do some hiking and this place was absolutely perfect. When done on trails for the day, it was a super short walk to the shore where we could continue to explore and look for rocks.
The place was clean, stocked with whatever you may need and easily accessible.
For 700 ft², it felt a lot larger. The sunroom, the living room (with the fireplace) never felt small.
Extremely Well designed.
My wife and I had privacy as well as time together. The place was extremely well supplied.
Communication was wonderful.
Will we return?
Most assuredly!

Very cozy!
Beautiful cozy home in a nice location to all the sites we wanted to see. I would have liked a better view of Lake Superior but it was still a nice place to stay.
