Cockermouth 2023

Lovely cottage, very clean, in a very friendly village. Jan and Guy were very helpful, providing information on the local area and answering our queries promptly. Would recommend a stay in this cottage and town. Local quiz night at the Bitter End was an added bonus.

Walking the lakes

Great place to stay for 2. Even though it was the height of the school holidays the town was not busy. Locals friendly and eating out a pleasure. Great walks only a little drive from town. Highly recommend this part of the lakes.

Lovely cottage

Lovely cottage in great location. Beautifully presented and appointed, and very comfortable to live in. Parking was not a problem during our stay, on the one evening that the cobbles were full we parked overnight in the Kirkgate car park and used the parking disc to get the first 2 hours during the restricted time the next day free. This is a great spot to explore the lakes and a lovely town to visit.

Great location

A lovely little property in a great location. Well equipped, and good use of limited space. You could walk into town in minutes. The Bitter End pub was great, food excellent. Chinese and fish and chips good too. The only negative was the rather uncomfortable sofa.
