Deep Creek Stay

This home is located in a beautiful & quiet neighborhood that is less than 5 mins from the State Park. The surrounding area is beautiful. Check-in was easy & the property management company does an excellent job at communicating all pertinent information via email. The property had all amenities it advertised; hot tub was clean & worked great. The overall cleanliness was good, clean towels, clean sheets & bedding however, the property is definitely in need of a deep cleaning & some updated window blinds that are functional.

Could be amazing-needs some attention!

Nice house in great area however there are a lot of minor maintenance issues that, if addressed, would make the place great. The pool and fitness room advertised are a bit of a drive away-the listing made it sound like they were easily accessible. Don’t think it’s really a plus. Nice furnishings and grounds.

Wonderful property

The place is beautiful and a great location. I love the outdoor space including fire pit, hot tub, and huge yard. The pool table was a hit with the children. The rooms were spacious and the kitchen provided all the tools we needed. Some of the doors didn't open well and the blinds were missing when we arrived. The pool table could use some TLC, but overall a great place and I would recommend staying here. The AC was broken the whole time and we did not receive word until the third time we called. I wish they would have let us known from the start. Luckily it was cooler when we stayed and didn't feel too uncomfortable. They installed a new unit while we were there so it is taken care of.

Beautiful home, close to attractions, had a great time! Could use some upgrades.

Our ladies group had a great time on our stay. The property was spacious, the hot tub was fantastic and was clean. Very close to attractions. Unfortunately, upon arrival the door was found to be ajar and the home was incredibly cold as temperatures were below freezing during this time of year. We notified the rental company on their emergency line, but nothing was done to help to warm the property other than suggesting we turn on the heat and let the house warm up. We were thankful that the home had central heating along with fireplaces (we thought fireplace only per the listing), but found that even with the one space heater provided by the owner, the downstairs floor remained pretty cold. Overall the rooms and amenities were fantastic! Well stocked kitchen with dish-ware, pots, pans, appliances, etc. Easy access to the hot tub and easy to find keys. There were some parts of the home that could be touched up, upgraded or replaced. The couch in the main living area was incredibly uncomfortable and not well padded/frame of the couch could be felt through the couch cushions. Many mangled or missing blinds throughout the property.

My stay

The overall stay was great! It was a first for all of us in the group and the lake life and area were beautiful and we really enjoyed it. However, the stay experience didn't share the same results. The house was not bad but, most of the chairs in the dinning room were broken or ready to break. The upstairs sliding glass doors were terrible to open. We had to run the dryer for multiple cycles and clothes still weren't dry. The ceiling fan(lights) in the bedroom upstairs did not work. These are just some of the things that were wrong. We however made the best of our stay.

We have been coming to Deep Creek for 5 years and this property has been the worst we have stayed at. We arrived to no water. I called and someone came out immediately he found the water had been turned off it still wasn't working so he called someone else. By the time the second guy came the water was working. After he left we discovered the pressure was very low and faucets would also stop running water at all. I had also asked on Sunday about the hottub, there was a very small amount of water in it. No one ever came to service the hottub our whole stay even after me calling 5 times the next day. I called at 9 am on Monday about the water pressure and was told that someone would be right out. I called again at 12 then 2. I was told at 2 someone would be there in 30 minutes finally at 4 someone came and fixed the issue in 10 minutes. We did get late checkout and didn't have to pay which was appreciated.

Well used rental

The house is well used. Scuff marks on pretty much every wall. Fallen down art work and mirrors. Large hole in 1 door. Oh and the heat didn't work. Radiant heat but not turned on before our stay so they said it would take a few days to heat up and gave us space heaters. But it is a house with a nice view and good walks around it with lake view. Has all kitchen utensils needed which is convenient.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: There was nothing awful about the house, but the experience could have been better. When we arrived, we discovered that the house does not come with firewood. Not a big deal, so we called the leasing company to have some delivered. We called twice, but their vendor never contacted us. We had to go out and purchase wood. Would have been nice to know that in advance. The house had several things broken. The blinds throughout were broken and could not easily be opened. That was a shame since the only view is in the master bedroom. The dishwasher soap dispenser was also not working. When we arrived, several toilets had not been flushed or the waste had come back up. Water from all of the faucets was not very clean, so not safe for cooking or drinking. There are better places to stay in DCL.

Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: We felt the house had a warm cozy feel to it. Plenty of bedrooms for us all. TV didn't have many channels but we had a robust so my sons could watch their football games. Also not enough forks for 12 people but we bought plastic forks for our Thanksgiving dinner. The last thing was no sheets for the futon in the master bedroom, definitely need a set for that. These weren't major things but they need to be addressed. We will definitely book this place again.

Luckily we figured this out the first night and cooked our food (tenders, pizzas etc) on broil and then flipped and rotated it. The description of the house was accurate- it is TWO full size beds- that was a pleasant surprise but made for last min planning changes when we arrived due to the picture reflecting a bunk bed. Please update that. Yet again we had to make some last min changes upon arrival- put in description that the sleeper sofa is upstairs in the main living room. I assumed it was downstairs (as description says LOWER LEVEL FAMILY ROOM) and I had to move a guest to another spot due to living room activity. in the kitchen- please get a bigger trash can, an actual kitchen trashcan, not waste basket.
