Destin West is your ticket to paradise! Located in Fort Walton Beach, FL and nestled along the coastline of the Choctawhatchee Bay and The Gulf of Mexico this fun resort has something for the whole family! No other resort in the area offers private beach access, bay access, 10 swimming pools, a 700 ft. lazy river, marina, and children's activities. Enjoy the convenience of being within walking distance of the area’s best restaurants and attractions. Visit The Boardwalk, The Okaloosa Island Fishing Pier, The Gulfarium, and many local restaurants adjacent to the property.

This 3 bedroom/2 bathroom penthouse includes: A fully stocked kitchen with adjoining dining area, a living room with a queen size sleeper sofa for extra guests and black out draperies, and two private balconies. A master suite with a king size bed, private bathroom with standalone shower and large soaking tub, and balcony access. A second bedroom with a queen-size bed and a flat screen TV. A bunk room with twin size bunk beds and a TV (This spot is great for the kids). Washer and dryer in unit.

Marina dock can be used for fishing or an excellent location to pull up a boat for loading and unloading passengers.

We go the extra mile to make sure you are comfortable: Plenty of pillows on each bed along with extra sheets and blankets if needed. Plenty of bath towels and beach towels. Starter set of paper towels, toilet paper, trash bags, dishwasher soap, dish liquid, laundry detergent, bath soap, shampoo, and conditioner. All-purpose cleaner.

We have a pontoon boat that is rented exclusively to our guests. The boat needs to be reserved at least 24 hours in advance. The boat launches out of The Fort Walton Beach Yacht Basin.

Great Rental Condo

We spent the week of Independence Day here and had a great time. The condo was in great shape and very clean, there was plenty of space for my wife and me, our son, and my in-laws, and the pool and lazy river are great. Easy access to beach and restaurants and we found plenty to do. Would definitely recommend!

We took my neice, sister, parents, and Mother-in-law for her senior beach trip! Loved the views, the food, and everything Destin had to offer. This was our 5th stay at Destin West, and their 1st. We definitly continue coming back.

Family reunion on the beach

We came to see our granddaughter and her identical twins as she will be transferred soon. The place looked clean but when the twins who are one started walking on the floor their socks were black. The cleaning people are ripping you off

Nice place

We enjoyed our stay. The rooftop terrace was especially nice. We would have loved more chairs up there! You can see the gulf and the pier where fireworks go off on Wednesday. We did some stargazing and even saw the International Space Station one night.

Property is nice. Loved the lazy river and the location of property. Only complaint is the patio doors are very, very hard to open and close, then lock. They seem to need adjusted.

Okaloosa Island vacation

We had the time of our lives in Okaloosa the first week in April. Stayed at Destin West Beach and Bay in Pelican #707. Everything was amazing, exactly as pictured. Beds were very comfy. Kids had a blast in the bunk room. The only item that was not working was the dryer ~ which was fine because we weren't planning on doing any wash. Would highly recommend.

There is no vaping and no bar on the property. There is a place with drinks about a 10 min walk away but it’s longer if you have kids.

Property is described as “upscale”, that’s not really accurate. The condo is dated. The sliding door is extremely hard to open and close. That area needs to be cleaned, along with the balcony area. We were going to use the pans provided in the kitchen, but they are so worn, that you can’t really use them. The lazy river was nice, but families tend to leave dirty diapers along the side. We woke up to water flowing in the condo from under the front door. Property managers were prompt to respond, very nice, and helpful.

Great place for a family stay

The property was clean and plenty of space to accommodate our two families. My only issue was the ice maker didn’t work, but they provided a couple ice trays. There were plenty of small appliances and utensils to make meals in the condo. The place could use some updating, but it’s clean and met our needs.

Great location not very clean

We enjoyed our stay overall. Just disappointed in the cleanliness of the condo. There was a lot of sand in the bed in the master bedroom on the first night sleeping here. I don’t think it was changed after the previous guests. The location is awesome! The pool and hot tubs are great. Views are beautiful and access to the beach is very convenient.

Perfect weekend away

I stayed at Destin West before and always wanted to come back. My wife and I decided to take a few days away with some friends, and it was perfect. Staying Bayside with easy access to the pool was perfect. The beach is a quick walk away, as well as plenty of restaurants and activities at the Boardwalk.

Home away from home

Was a very beautiful place, clean and had most of the things you’d need. Which helps a lot! Especially for first timers on our own like we were. Would definitely recommend and will return myself!! Ps. Main patio door didn’t lock. Or I couldn’t get it too. Thank you for sharing your space with us! Hope to return soon! ❤️

Okaloosa Island

The condo was great, just as advertised, lots of room, we had several guests and there was lots of room for them. The facility is wonderful, the pools and lazy river are nicely presented and clean, the area is a great place to relax. The only issue is that February in the panhandle of Florida can be iffy, and this year wasn't great, pretty cool, windy and rainy. The pool area is sheltered from the wind partially so we were able to spend some time there, but the Gulf beach was not very nice because of the weather.

July 4th weekend

Had a great time. Area is very convenient to everything - especially important on such a busy holiday. Love this resort and all the amenities. Unit could use some updating. Need some curtains in the guest bedroom to keep out the light from the outside walkway. Beds were comfortable. Overall nice stay. Thank you!
