A beautifully kept 2.5 bedroom house, secluded on a large private lot behind thick well-managed bamboo. Located on a wide street on the west end of Ocean Bay Park, the house is perfect for family or friends. 1 block from the beach and 1 block from the bay, The best of Fire Island will be at your fingertips.

- Queen Bedroom, with extra twin bed, large closet and sliding doors onto deck
- Single Bedroom with large closet
- Large open living room, with sliding doors onto deck
- Almost new queen sized sofa bed
- Fully Equipped Kitchen
- Bathroom with Shower

Outside the House:
- Small "cottage", with single bed, sink and toilet
- Spacious Outdoor shower
- Large deck with BBQ
- Large shed with washing machine and dryer
- Large private lot

House includes fully equipped kitchen, air conditioning, washer / dryer, Wifi and DirectTV, as well as hot showers indoors as well as outdoors, to enjoy the open sky in a private space while you shower.

Beautiful deck with sun loungers, table and BBQ. Fenced in so great for kids, friendly pets & avid gardeners. We're also able to provide bed linens, beach towels, shower towels, beach chairs, an umbrella, and some bicycles as part of the rental.

Check-out instructions

The host requires you to complete the following before checking out:
Load the dishwasher
Strip any used beds and gather used towels
Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish
Turn off the lights
Leave dirty towels (shaken and ideally at least somewhat dry) on top of the washing machine in shed. Make sure all lights, oven, dishwasher & air con OFF. Close all screens and glass doors.
Lock house doors and return key to where you found it. Lock front gate. Return wagon, locked, to the dock.
ENJOY THE HOUSE! …and feel free to call Amanda or Amy with any questions and/or to let us know of any issues. In particular, please let us know ASAP of any leaks from the taps or hoses.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.
Always keep front gate closed to prevent deer entering the premises and destroying the plants.
Do not feed the deer as they carry ticks
Keep screen doors closed to prevent influx of mosquitoes.

Great stay at Amanda’s place in OBP. Very conveniently located steps from the beach and a short walk to the ferry, as well as nearby neighborhoods Seaview and Ocean Beach. The wagon and bikes were super helpful.

Well kept home, great location!

We rented this house in August 2018, it's on a quiet street in Ocean Bay Park, and only a few blocks from the Seaview boarder! Bicycles were provided, which make it a quick 8 minute ride along the bay, into Ocean Beach. We would definitely rent this house again!

We've owned this gem for 7 years. With our family home nextdoor, we couldn't resist buying this property from its original owners when it became available 40 years after it was originally built. This house is cool and has character, well taken care of with huge private deck. Special place.

Why they chose this property

Residential street in Ocean Bay Park away from the 'party' end of this community. OBP is one of Fire Island's relaxed communities, yet Michigan St is 1 block from quiet Seaview so this location gives the best of both worlds.

What makes this property unique

Designed and built by one of Cartier's lead buyers, this house is a beautifully kept time capsule. It has incredible character with all the comforts of home, and a private deck perfectly situated for Fire Island's sun.
