Peaceful, comfortable home on Lopez Island
We had a great stay in this house on Lopez. It's a 2 minute drive from the main commercial center and easy access to the ferry and other locations. Very quiet location with gorgeous views of the distant mountains.

Thanksgiving stay
The house has lots of old farmhouse charm. No view of the ocean but secluded from other houses and just a quick drive to any beach.

We had a wonderful stay at this charming an comfortable farm house. The view was so fantastic that we kept the door open whenever we were at home. We appreciated the washer and dryer so that we coud go home with a suitcase full of clean clothes. The kitchen was well stocked and made it easy to make some lovely home cooked meals. This was a perfect respite for our family getaway.

Easy peasy
Very private location, lots of deer and rabbits, close to village
Classic Farmhouse a wonderful private location amongst the trees. Bunnies kept us entertained. Great back porch with a wonderful view. Super quiet.
Had everything we needed for a perfect weekend.
We had a lovely time at the house - it is super close to the Village and yet you feel totally secluded and peaceful. The kitchen is well stocked with pots and pans and the grill is new and clean. The rooms are nice and the space is well utilized. We will be back!

The Milagra Guest house was just what were looking for. Lots of space, great for 2 to 6 people. N...
We loved that the house faced towards the Sunset. Nice back deck and a daily family of Bunnies that would graze on the lawn. The kitchen was very well opointed with cookware. The house is very private yet very close to the store, shopping, coffee, gas, and the beach. People are very friendly and everyone waves as you drive about the Island.
We had a wonderful time on Milagra Lane celebrating my birthday.Well stocked kitchen ( except would helpful to have one nonstick pan), plenty of linen and toletries for allEasy walk to town and to bike on the island. Only issue is the bath drains slowly in the en suite bathroom.

We had a great stay in this peaceful setting. It’s close to the village but you wouldn’t know it because of the foliage. Beds were comfortable and kitchen well stocked. As described, Internet reception on the island was mostly absent.
Kayaking with Dan at the Spencer Spit State Park was great. And beautiful views from the hike out to Shark Reef park. We also had an elderly relative with us and she could see plenty on drives around the island.

Diamond in the Rough
I had an amazing stay at the Milagra Guest House. The location is unbeatable, and the house has all the charm and character of a historic island home. It's a perfect retreat for artists, scholars, writers, philosophers, and creatives of all kinds, as well as for tourists who want a convenient and safe base for biking, kayaking, or walking adventures. The deck offers a beautiful view with an abundance of deer, wild birds, and native plants, and it’s perfect for bundling up and stargazing at night. There's also a nice, big table for sharing meals with friends, and the grill makes cooking a breeze. I can't wait to return! If you're looking for a mainstream, fast, and forgettable experience, this may not be for you. But if you want a unique island experience, then this is the place to stay.

Liked: Communication, location
Disliked: Listing accuracy
While the house is spacious, has good bathrooms, is close to Lopez Village, and is quiet, we would not recommend it. In particular, we had virtually no internet service and our cell phones (two different providers) rarely had service at the house. We felt like this was a safety issue since communication in case of an emergency would have been problematic (an info sheet in the home indicated there was a landline phone, but we could not find one). There is also very little storage space for clothing and several of the windows did not open or shut correctly.

Our stay at Milagra
We enjoyed the proximity to the town center, the quiet, the privacy, the bed - the well provisioned kitchen.
There were things in the house that were not clean - the tub showers were not clean, one shower curtain was very dirty- the stove was not clean.
We had a very hard time finding the house - we had not been supplied with a street and house number.we stopped on Milagra and asked a neighbor. She was really annoyed as if she had been bothered before by people hunting the house. There were no signs on the road or driveway guiding us to the house.

Peaceful and Idyllic
The setting was beautiful with a feeling of complete privacy even though the “village”was a short walk away.
The house had an ideal layout for the 6 of us. We were traveling with our adult sons, and their partners, so we appreciated the layout of the house which gave everyone privacy and plenty of places to gather.

Lovely farmhouse close to town
You’ll love the proximity to the Lopez Village and the small porch with a view. The layout is a bit awkward for gathering and you may want to bring some camping chairs to use the yard more effectively. Unfortunately when we checked in no cleaning had been done, and ultimately they never were able to get someone to show up to do much. But that’s island life and the beds were comfortable and the bathrooms were totally fine.

Sunny and charming
We loved it! Wonderful kitchen/dining area with open space and plenty of windows. Nice bedrooms for all. Good amenities, from washer-dryer to Wi-Fi. Lopez Village is small, but you’re right near it.
The space is bigger than it looks in the picture! Really enjoyed staying at this cabin. It felt remote but was only a 10+ minute walk into town. Will definitely be staying here again.
This is a lovely quaint old farmhouse, in a private location with wildlife all around. Oven and stovetop not working really well but otherwise kitchen was fine for fixing all our meals. Nicely decorated, clean and comfortable beds. Crack in one bedroom window needs to be fixed but otherwise was great. We loved our stay there.

Lack of privacy
On the 1st day of our stay, we were working and had meetings. A person just comes up to the house and starts a lawn mowing machine without informing or asking us. And it made it really diffcult to work for about an hour. The next day one of the neighour randomly comes up and tells us to drive slow in the inside road when I'm a 100% sure we didn't cross 15mph. The house in general was good, had some games too; and the we got a see a deer too in the backyard, but could've done with less intrusion.

Thank you for your review, Udit! We apologize the homeowner does have routinely scheduled landscaping and that this caused a disturbance while you were trying to work. We are disappointed the neighbor came over and if this had a negative impact on your vacation. We apologize for the inconvenience and hope we have the chance to host you again!
The house is close to town , but seems secluded. Roomy and warm. The tv has no channels, but we were not there for this, but it looked like it had a satellite, this did not work. Plenty of things to cook with. The dishwasher really did not clean well, so we hand washed. There were a few ants in the kitchen. Overall it was a comfortable, nice house to have as homebase for this gorgeous island. When I texted the manager, he was prompt in responding. Thank you!
We love coming to this island and since our usual spot that we go to was full we thought we would give this place a try. It could really really use a good thorough cleaning as well as a water softener. The hard water made the dishes very grimy and we washed most by hand and when I looked under the beds to make certain nothing was left behind I was shocked at how much dust and dirt were underneath . We realize it is a older home and expected oddities because of that but the eclectic decor was mostly unusable and cluttered. The beds were comfortable enough but our sleep was disrupted all night from the constant clicking from the wall heaters in the room.
