The Gîte le chaffour is a large recent house, of the Périgord type.
Located in the countryside, a place called "Le Chaffour" 2km from the village of Saint Genies (Grocery store, bakery, butcher), 10 km north of the medieval town of Sarlat and 15 km south of Montignac-Lascaux .

Composed of a master suite on the ground floor (160x200cm bed) with dressing room, bathroom and walk-in shower. Large living room of 70m² with air conditioning.
Upstairs, a landing with play area for children, TV, DVD-blue-ray player, cartoons and games provided. The staircase is equipped with a safety barrier.
2 large family bedrooms each with 1 140 cm bed and 2 90 cm bunk beds. 1 bathroom with shower cubicle and bathtub.

Kitchen equipped with an American refrigerator with fresh water dispenser, ice cubes and crushed ice, dishwasher, induction hob, ventilated oven, extractor hood, microphone waves, programmable coffee maker, Dolce Gusto pod coffee maker, kettle, toaster, food processor, electric griddle, Weber barbecue.
Cellar with washing machine, ironing board and iron.
140 cm flat screen TV, reception by satellite.
Heating provided by a heated floor from a geothermal borehole.
Air conditioning is present in the living room downstairs, and another on the landing upstairs.
< br>Private swimming pool facing south, with large wooden terrace of 100m².
Balloons, pétanque balls and a volleyball net are available.
The swimming pool is heated, thermostat at 28°C from the beginning of May to the end of September by a heat pump.
Also another wooden terrace of 30 m² on the North face (appreciable in hot weather)
Large enclosed park, with lockable gate, swing, and places parking.

NB: rentals are from Saturday to Saturday. Cleaning is not included in the price, it must be done by you at the end of your stay or taken as an option at 150 €. Sheets are not included, they can be taken as an option at 12 € for double beds and 8 € for single beds. The options are to be paid on the spot when the keys are handed over.

Great property to explore the wonderful areas of the Dordogne

The property was easy to locate even when arriving in the dark. The gite was very comfortable and equipped with all the mod cons you need to have an enjoyable stay. The pool was not in use as we stayed out of season but sure it will be of the same standard as the gite. The property Manager Mickael wss veu quick to redond to our conmunications. All in all a great place to stay, would definitely rrecommend.mimmcons

Very modern well presented property which offers all amenities you require for a perfect holiday. The location is very remote so no chance of being disturbed by other holiday makers. Car is essential. One comment I would make is that if we were staying in the heat of summer I think Air conditioning may be required!!! Overall 9-10 as it was excellent!

Fantastic week in May

The property is excellent, with everything you could possibly need, from cooking facilities including BBQ, great showers, good private pool and badminton/volleyball net! The air conditioning was very welcome, even at the end of May. The house is situated in a very quiet rural lane, with lovely views from a choice of places to sit in sun or shade, but not at all awkward to get to, and so easy to find and quick to get around the area. The location is very good, with a two-minute drive into St Genies, which is a very pretty village with good bakery, butchers, local produce store and small general store. Sarlat is just 10-12 minutes away and the main sites of the area, such as Lascaux, Les Eyzies, Beynac and Domme are all within an easy 30 minute drive. All in all, a very good place for a family to spend a week or two in a wonderful area.

Excellent séjour en Périgord.La maison était parfaite, très bien équipée, confortable… Nous avons apprécié la piscine et la climatisation avec les grosses chaleurs !Le village de Saint Génies est très migon et vous trouvez une boulangerie, une épicerie, un boucher. Il y a un marché tous les dimanches et une fête gourmande le mercredi soir.Nous étions bien placés pour visiter la vallée de la Dordogne où Sarlat.Mickael est un hôte très sympa.

La maison est idéalement située pour visiter la région. spacieuse et bien équipée. La piscine était un gros plus. Dommage qu’elle n’était juste pas chauffée à 28 degré comme sur l’annonce ..20-22 degré max.

Un logement spacieux, décoré avec beaucoup de goût. Propreté irréprochable. Literie très confortable. Maison cocooning qui appelle à la détente. Tout est à disposition : ballons de foot , de volley, boules de pétanques en passant par les raquettes de badminton. Un barbecue avec cheminée de très bonne qualité. Situation géographique idéale à 10min de Sarlat, 15min des grottes de Lascaux, 1h de rocamadour. L’hôte est arrangeant et sympathique.

Nous avons apprécié l’espace intérieur et extérieur qu’offre cette location. Tout est net. La maison est très bien équipée. Il nous a seulement manqué un peu de soleil qui nous aurait permis de profiter davantage de la piscine. En revanche les parties de boules et de foot de foot se sont enchaînées. Vous pouvez réserver cette location les yeux fermés
