This Galveston waterfront home is right off the Causeway as you enter Galveston on Laguna De Oro. Quick access to the bay for water activities like fishing, boating, or swimming. We offer a strong Wi-Fi signal and DIRECTV, reduced rates due to still under renovations. The new improvements include floors, new paint inside and out, and updated appliances. The house features a large porch overlooking Laguna De Oro with a beautiful sunset. Swimming in the lagoon is allowed, but swim at your own risk.

The good thing was The house was very clean and comfy, but when looking at the listing is shoa the property on Offatts Bayou and is definitely NOT ! this may be why there is omly one picture of the water. If i would have know it was where it was i would not have rented it. It has no lights on the water and the only lights in the yard are motion sensors. The Grass had not been mowed and the water in that inlet smelled like sewage. The neighbors complained because we had bought lights to put on water so we could maybe attract some fish so the owner called multiple times to tell me to turn them down or off. ABSOLUTELY NOT !! if i did that we would be sitting in the datk. You dont rent a so called "BAY" house to sit inside because thats the only place with light. Safe to say save your money stay some where else !

Nice place

Was a nice rental that fit all 8 of us. Check in was easy, and the house was well equipped. Enough beds for all of us. Large bathtub in the master bathroom that easily fits me and I’m 6’2” 250lbs. One downfall to the place was we didn’t realize there was a spiral staircase to get to the downstairs bedroom. Not a huge issue, but one of the people in our party has hip issues so it was easier for them to just use the normal stairs outside to transverse levels in the home.

Very nice place to stay.

We stayed a week and enjoyed the location. Nice place to fish but wouldn’t recommend swimming. Owner is very quick in responding to questions and taking care of any issues.

Great Getaway!

First off, the property owner is awesome! He was readily available any time we had questions. He checked on us midway through our stay and he seemed to really care about our experience. The place itself was clean and perfect for two adults and three teenage boys. When we were not out at the beach we really enjoyed fishing in the backyard. If you are wondering...those are ribbon fish. (We had to look them up). The place was quiet and just perfect for our needs. I highly suggest renting this place should you want to get away from the hustle and bustle. We WILL be back. There is a big one (fish) that eluded me this trip. I will get him on my return.
