About this property
Timber Valley Cabin Off grid secluded hideaway, about an hour from Denver
Timber Valley Cabin is a cozy and charming cabin that rests at the end of a private 2 mile long meandering driveway.
It's located on an old gold mining claim from the 1930's and is totally surrounded by the Pike National Forest.
The off grid 2bedroom 1bathroom wooden cabin has a covered porch on 2 sides with rocking chairs for your relaxation. From there you can view the valley, listen to birds and the breeze flowing through the forest on the mountain.
The serenity here makes it a perfect spot for artists, photographers and birdwatchers, or just catch up on some reading.
A short hike down the valley will get you to the North Fork of the South Platte river. This is an excellent spot for fly fishing and picnicing. It also has amazing opportunities for pictures.
Stay here to relax and enjoy the quiet, or head out for hikes and mountain biking.
It's 4 miles to Buffalo Creek trail system and you can mountain bike from the cabin there and back.
Come prepared to stay since you probably won't want to leave, that's how we
felt and we're still here. (we live on the property in a separate building)
High clearance vehicles are highly recomended for easy access.

About the host
Hosted by Robert and Catherine Ellis

We are an older semi-retired couple living our dream in the mountains.
Bob is originally from the front range/Denver area and I moved here from Wisconsin
in 1970. (never looked back)
I love to do woodworking and am enjoying working on our new project which is
a loft apartment over our shop.
Bob has recently started a repair business, there isn't anything that he can't fix,
really.

Why they chose this property
After searching for years we finally found what we were looking for. We wanted a remote
site in the mountains surrounded by nature.
We were very lucky,,, and here we are!
