Dear Mike, thank you for your feedback. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the apartment, its design, and furnishings! To clarify for future guests, this is a self-catering short-term rental, not a hotel. We provide a starter set of essentials (for example toilet paper, dish soap, a small set of toiletries, etc) to help get guests settled in. After that, additional supplies are the responsibility of the guest, which is standard for this type of accommodation. In addition, we don't advertise that we supply toiletries for the duration of the stay. Staying with us comes at a significantly lower cost than a hotel, and with that comes a different level of service and included amenities. Items such as ongoing replenishment of toilet paper and toiletries are therefore not part of the offering. Regarding the bedside lamp, the issue was addressed promptly after being reported, repair took place and resolved the next day. We have since confirmed everything is functioning properly. We aim to provide a comfortable and accurately represented stay, and we encourage all guests to review our listing details carefully to ensure it aligns with their expectations. Dear Margaret, You accidentally booked our apartment instead of the Playa Linda Hotel where the rest of your family was staying. VRBO doesn't book by itself, you did. Direct after you noticed the mistake you wrote me the following; "I’m so confused about this … I booked the Playa Li da resort with Vrbo & took a cab there but they said they didn’t have a reservation. I’m with 50 people & now we r in a complete different place?? Do you have units at Playa Linda??" I responded that we didn't have units there. The next day you asked for a refund so you could join your family. We told you that this was not possible because we couldn't rent the apartment out on such short notice. The same afternoon at 1.07 pm.you wrote; "Wi-Fi also does not work." I went immediately to your apartment to solve your "complaint". I knocked, nobody answered. I went in to repair the wifi. Fortunately there was nothing wrong with the wifi. Everything worked fine. At 1.21 pm (just 14! minutes later) I wrote; "Hi Margaret, I just visited your apartment. Unfortunately you were not at home. The internet works fine. No problem at all." When I entered your apartment it was clear it was abandoned. There were no personal belongings left. I suspected that you moved to Playa Linda. I switched off the airco's and lights and left. Nobody entered the apartment after I left and took sheets etc. The apartment is only cleaned by a professional company after guests leave. Not in between. Your reservation was from April 17th until Monday April 25th. On Wednesday April 27th, 2 days after you checked out! you wrote at 11.17 am; Hi we went there on Friday night at 11PM to sleep & someone took the sheets & pillowcases off🤷‍♀️very disappointed with our experience with you… This means that you slept 3 nights without sheets and pillowcases without complaining. That took 2! days after you already checked out... Margaret, I understand that you are angry about the mistake you made and that we couldn't compensate for it. What I don't understand is that you are deliberately trying to hurt us. You tried this also with VRBO. They also turned you down after reading all the evidence. I hope you understand that we, as Premier Hosts, will not host you again in the future. Best regards, Pieter Visser
