Simply Irresistible: Authentic Log Cabin

The mountain views and privacy this genuine log cabin offers are irresistible. From the quaint drive along a country road through the woods, you will often pass cattle before you are welcomed with the site of hand-made rocking chairs and hot tub on a full porch. Once inside, you will feel warm and cozy surrounded by 200 year old timber walls, comfortable furniture, and a gas-burning fireplace. The kitchen is large and very well-equipped for cooking, baking, and gathering together. The main floor master bedroom offers a luxurious king size bed, while a second bedroom offers a queen bed. Upstairs you’ll find a large bedroom with two twin beds and one queen bed, as well as an en suite bathroom with a beautiful slipper tub. While rustic in decor, this cabin offers all the modern amenities for those who still need connection: fast WI-FI, unlimited domestic phone service, and satellite TV. Approx 30 minutes (19mi) to Boone or Jefferson (22mi), and only 22 minutes to Mountain City, TN (11mi). Approx. One Hour (33 miles) to popular ski hills. There are three security cameras on the property, covering the front yard, back yard, and front door.

Awesome house! Area around it has cows and deer you can see almost every day. House is very prepared with games and everything you could possibly need! Would definitely stay here again

Amazing cabin!

By far the best cabin we have stayed in! It was very clean and spacious. The kitchen is amazing! Spent lots of time in the hot tub and around the fire pit! Would definitely recommend for a relaxing vacation!

An amazing cabin in a quiet setting

The cabin was exactly as described. It had everything needed for a get away. The views were incredible all throughout the day. The cow watching through the front gate provided entertainment for all during the stay. Highly recommend the cabin and this owner!

Beautiful Location and a Great Kitchen

We rented this cabin and stayed with our teenage daughters. They enjoyed the hot tub and the collection of games. And we enjoyed cooking in the spacious kitchen. The cabin was clean, comfortable, and relaxing. Great rental!

The cabin was beautiful as well as its surroundings, absolutely breathtaking!! We drove over to visit our daughter in Boone the only drawback was the excessive distance between Boone and Creston, otherwise it was an excellent stay.

Wonderful

This is our second time visiting this place and it’s a great little getaway. The kitchen is great and has all the kitchen gadgets you need to prepare a meal. The view is great, we loved watching the cattle graze wile we was sitting on the porch or in the hot tub. This place will truly bring tranquility to your life.

It Is Simply Irresistible

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. It was exactly as described. The six year old wanted to stay at our “new house” and her mother could come get her some other day. We had to explain this was not our house, but we wanted to stay longer also.

AWESOME PROPERTY!!

I you are looking to chill and enjoy family this is the place for you!! You can also shop for antiques, go gem mining, take the kids to a play house - so much to do!! Or just take in the beautiful ,mountain views and the unique treasures in this cabin!! We took my son's family - boys aged 4 and 6 and they had a blast!! Built a fire in the pit, took nature walks, played games and cut down the best Christmas trees. We all loved this property!!

Amazing!!!

By far, the most incredible place I've stayed! Secluded, quiet and totally amazing. The cabin is comfortable, enough bedrooms and bathrooms for everyone to have space, perfect for our family getaway. My favorite space has to be the kitchen, more than enough room to cook, hang out, and sit down and have a family meal together. Great memories made, trails and woods explored and we are totally in love with this spot. Communication with Jennifer was over the top great! The only downside was having to leave We wish this was our home

Our stay at Simply Irresistible

The cabin was it in a great location very , quiet and private. It was clean and well stocked. We enjoyed hiking on the property and at the near by state park. We also enjoyed the sparkling clean hot tub. The fire pit was nice too. The only con I would have is you have to wash your own towels and sheets upon leaving. I have stayed in many cabins in remote and rural areas, many of them from VRBO, and have never had to wash our sheets and towels upon leaving. That was very inconvenient having to wait for those to get washed and dried before we could leave.

Getting away from it all!

Owner's summary is perfect. Great log cabin in the middle of rolling hills and pastures. 18 miles north of Boone, but best have a GPS to get here as you will feel out in the sticks. Extremely clean, everything functioning, cabin heaters are excellent, view is beautiful, Cows and deer, great outside fire pit. Bring all of your groceries, though there are two small stop and shops within 5 miles. Great horseback riding place for families 35 minutes away called Dutch Creek Trails. Very pleasant trip to great views. I'd definitely come back.

This was the perfect place to relax and unwind. The historic cabin was fascinating and pleasantly quirky. But all of the modern conveniences were there. Just be sure to get your groceries before you come in.

Cozy, mountain cabin with Wonder fall colors views around, peaceful. Great kitchen, family get together was amazing. Retro decor was so cool to teach the kids about different things. Host was wonderful with quick communication and help. Overall a great stay, highly recommend.

There was supposed to be a working fire place but couldn’t find a way to turn on the gas fire place. The guide said a remote could be found on the mantle but there wasn’t a remote to be found for the fire place. Other than that we had a wonderful time staying in the mountain cabin. Pictures didn’t do it justice. It was a beautiful location. A well kept home. Very clean and inviting. There was absolutely everything we needed and extras that most host don’t provide. It was a wonderful trip our only regret was we couldn’t stay longer. It’s 30 minutes out of town and worth the drive! We met the neighbors and explored the trails. It was safe enough for our toddler but also perfect for the adults. We couldn’t thank the host enough for sharing such a beautiful slice of heaven.

We enjoyed our quiet and restful time at this wonderful cabin. It was interesting to walk through the cabin and see the pictures, sculptures and old appliances. The spacious kitchen was a special highlight allowing for plenty of room to move around. We picked a perfect time to visit with the Fall colors just starting to show from the nice view in the Sunroom. Draco, our German Shepherd, especially liked this location so he could watch the cows. :-) The best I can say is that this will become our repeat destination and we look forward to touring more of the area in the future.

Definitely Irresistible

The cabin was absolutely perfect for families, and was very thoughtfully stocked with lots of toys and games to entertain children of all ages. Family Wedding in Mountain City

It was everything we were hoping for! Peace and quiet, various activities for the family, like hot tub, foosball, and plenty of land for hiking. We attended a family wedding at a venue nearby, but most of our time was spent at the VRBO property and it was heaven! Owners were very easy to get a hold of and quick to respond with someone nearby if we needed a face-to-face as we did. We would definitely stay again
