DUD (Dangerous, Un-safe and Dirty)

We booked this property for 8 Adults and 5 children. We found on our arrival that the property was dangerous for people staying there. Exposed wires in three rooms, dangerous situations in four areas, building materials and building equipment left in four areas, dangerous chemicals left in three areas. Un-safe conditions in various positions and the kitchen was DIRTY. We did not stay in the property. We contacted the owner direct and told him that we were VERY VERY unsatisfied and we reported this to Vrbo as well, discussing this with Juan by telephone. We will, today be putting a document together with over 100 pictures and numerous videos to illustrate the DUD condition of this property and to request a FULL refund of ALL our monies. We will ask both Vrbo and the owner to consider our request as we COULD not stay at the property in the condition it was in. We were told that a Maid would meet us there, and that did not happen. Emanuelle, the owner, was NOT helpful, saying he was a 1000km away and could not assist us in anyway. This trip was to celebrate Jackie Hoare's 60th birthday with her family and the property was a nightmare. We quickly booked alternative via Arbnb. We would ask Vrbo to look into our situation and help us get our money back, or we will release ALL our images and videos onto social media, as we have two Influencers in our family. Review of Emmanuel’s property

I did enjoy our stay due to having all my family around me, not the property as it really wasn’t up to holiday rental. Having 3 children under the age of 5 and a pregnant mum in our party the cleanliness of the whole property really wasn’t what I expected. The kitchen hadn’t been cleaned as the sponge left was dry and full of flies, the floors were dirty and crawling with ants. The oven was dirty and the hob ignition didn’t work. There was no room for any food shopping we had bought as all the cupboards were full of owners purchases. The fridge was dirty and full of food half eaten or open. The front room had what we could only make out bogies stuck on the wall above the sofa and bitten nails at the back of the sofa. The bathrooms were dirty and had hairs in the showers, floors dusty and dirty! All the bedrooms had no room for our personal items as they were overloaded with owners clothes shoes items. (Including teeth in a jar) No curtains available in the upstairs bedrooms so guests woke early with the sun. The towels provided were old and stained and smelt stale. The garden was unusable really due to stacks of branches and trees just left in piles every where. As for the BBQ that was unusable I wouldn’t risk cooking anything on it! Big stake knife left out so kids could play with it! No smoke alarms which was unacceptable. There was no instruction manual for anything so everything we had to work out for ourselves. The property has real potential and could be amazing if some love and attention was put in? It is tired and need of renovation too many things broken in need of repair!. I have many photos to back up the issues.

Tout était parfait : le lieu, la maison, la piscine, le BBQ à gaz, la literie, et même la visite du chat du voisin ! Une communication simple et facile. Excellent hôte, belle maison parfaitement équipé et bonne localisation

La maison est très bien équipée, la piscine chauffée est très agréable, l'emplacement proche du RER B est très pratique et le barbecue sur la terrasse en hauteur est parfait, la localisation nous offre aussi une très belle vue. Emmanuel est un excellent hôte extrêmement réactif, il a répondu à toutes nos demandes très rapidement et nous a donné une grande flexibilité pour les heures d'entrée et de sortie. Nous n'avons pas été embêté par les voisins, nous avons bien fait attention de ne mettre la musique qu'en intérieur. Je recommande vivement cette location, merci à Emmanuel pour cette très bonne expérience.

Tres Belle Maison !

J'ai fêté mes 30 ans dans cette maison avec 12 amis, et la propriété était exactement ce qu'il nous fallait pour le weekend. Grande piscine chauffé, terrasse en hauteur pour manger, et tout ce qu'il fallait pour cuisiner des grands repas. Les chambres étaient également très confortables, surtout les lits et la literie. Mon seul commentaire serait sur la propreté de la maison, il y avait beaucoup de moucherons et des fourmis, ainsi que beaucoup d'affaires des propriétaires dans les chambres. En revanche ca nous a pas dérangé plus que ca car la maison était vraiment grande et belle. Les voisons ne ce sont pas plaint du bruit, et nous avons passé un excellent weekend au bord de la piscine. Merci à Emmanuel pour cette très belle expérience !

A country gem!

Lovely 100+ year old house tastefully done with a mix off antique and modern décor. So many beautiful gathering and relaxing spaces both inside and out. So peaceful and quiet! Gorgeous views across the valley. We were there during a heat wave and the pool was a lifesaver after hot days tromping around Paris. Walking distance for food, café and RER line but check the days for market and café, not open every day. If you taxi or Uber out, have the driver take you and your luggage to the top of the steep hill, not just to the bottom of the driveway. Emmanuel was very responsive and helpful!

Communication facile avec Emmanuel. La maison est très grande et agréable, et peut loger 12 adultes dans les 6 chambres des étages. La piscine est un vrai plus, même si elle n'était pas très chaude lors de notre séjour. Je recommande.

Bon samedi d'anniversaire

J'ai fêté mes 30 ans entre amis dans la propriété d'Emmanuel. La localisation est parfaite : à 5 minutes à pied du RER B Lozère, ce qui évite de louer une voiture depuis Paris. La propriété est grande et belle, quoiqu'assez défraîchie. Le gros point positif : la piscine chauffée qui nous a permis de profiter du weekend ensoleillé. La literie était confortable et nous a permis de faire dormir 11 personnes. Enfin, la maison est située sur une colline qui surplombe la vallée et la vue est superbe. Le point négatif est clairement le stress lié aux voisins. La maison est louée tous les weekends pour des événements comme le nôtre, et le son porte très loin, ce qui cause des nuisances sonores aux voisins, qui n'en peuvent plus, surtout en fin de saison estivale. Dès les premier après-midi, nous avons eu des remarques sur les bruits que nous faisions dans la piscine. Au prix très élevé de la location, c'est fort dommage de se sentir restreints niveau sonore vu que c'est précisément pour cela que l'on loue un grand espace hors de Paris. Je pense aussi que le prix du ménage devrait être inclus dans la location dès le départ (il nous est demandé de laisser 100 euros en cash à l'arrivée en sus des sommes versées). La communication était fluide et transparente avec Emmanuel, que nous n'avons pas rencontré en face à face.

Week-end idéal

J’ai loué la maison pour un week-end d’anniversaire (30 ans) entre amis et tout s’est très bien passé. Le cadre est idéal avec la piscine chauffée, la table de jardin pour manger dehors, le barbecue, la table de ping-pong, les chambres spacieuses, les pièces de vie très agréables. Emmanuel est très réactif pour répondre aux questions. Je recommande !

villa qui a beaucoup de charme et de potentiel. propriétaire sympathique et qui répond bien aux sollicitations. il faudrait améliorer l'accueil car il manque un livret en cas de souci (comment faire repartir la chaudière, comment actionner le volet de la piscine etc...), c'est gênant de devoir appeler le propriétaire à chaque fois.

Week-end en famille

Un très bon week-end en famille dans cette belle maison. Emmanuel est réactif et a été arrangeant pour les procédures d'arrivée et de départ. Les + : Une maison spacieuse avec une piscine chauffée et une magnifique vue sans vis à vis. Les choses à améliorer : Les jardiniers encore sur place à notre arrivée qui tondent la pelouse et salissent la piscine. Le ménage à améliorer. Enfin, nous aurions pu nous passer de la venue d'ouvriers dans la villa sans avoir été prévenu le matin de notre départ. L'ensemble reste toutefois très positif.

Une catastrophe !

Mr Le Cottier nous a accueilli le vendredi à 14H en faisant preuve de flexibilité sur l'horaire d'arrivée. La maison présente très bien, belle piscine et bien placée. Mais quand on nous demande de payer un forfait ménage de 100€, et qu’on paye 1000€ la nuit, c'est qu'on attend que la maison soit un minimum « tenue » : Un débardeur trempé en boule par terre dans le jardin, un maillot qui traine sur la terrasse, une cuisine dans un état de crasse sans nom. Les poeles/casseroles étaient dégoutantes, il restait de la vaisselle sale, des pots de moutarde ouverts sans couvercle qui trainent dans le frigo. Dans le salon, les coussins des chaises maculés de taches. A l’étage, une de mes amies a carrément retrouvé un verre de vin et des gâteaux sur le rebord de sa fenêtre ! Un coupe ongle ouvert qui traine sur le rebord de la baignoire d’une salle de bain Bref, la liste est longue. Nous avons du faire revenir la femme de ménage le soir de notre arrivée. 1ere soirée, nous dinons dehors, à 22h30 la voisine débarque en pyjama nous sommant d’arrêter immédiatement notre diner et de rentrer dans la maison fenêtres fermées (en plein été). Pour reprendre ses mots « elle est à bout c’est comme ça tous les weekend » . Le lendemain, la porte de la douche me tombe dessus littéralement, le joint étant tellement usé qu’il ne supportait plus son poids. Et cerise sur le gâteau, le samedi soir tombe un orage assez intense. La maison s’est littéralement remplie d’eau. Des trombes d’eau ont transpercé le plafond du salon, la cave se remplissait avec des torrents de boues. Nous nous sommes mobilisées pour écoper tout ce que nous pouvions pendant plus de 2H. Mr Le Cottier est arrivé complètement dépassé par les évènements. Nous avons à peine eu un « merci » pour avoir écopé l’eau de sa maison pendant toute l’orage. Il nous a proposé de quitter la maison le soir meme, mais comment voulez vous un samedi à 19H alors que nous venions toutes de province c’était mission impossible. Nous avons alors obtenu que Mr Le Cottier nous dédommage en nous remboursant 1 nuit sur les 2, ce qui nous semble etre la moindre des choses, quand on loue sa maison 1000€ c’est qu’on assure un certain standing derrière. A ce jour nous sommes SANS NOUVELLES de MR LE COTTIER. Il ne répond pas aux nombreuses relances téléphoniques, ni aux messages d’ABRITEL. Je m’interroge sur LES VALEURS et l’HONNETÉ de MR LE COTTIER.

Merveilleux week-end entre amis

La maison d'Emmanuel est superbe et fidèle aux photos. L'hôte est très arrangeant et réactif. Nous avons pu profiter du jardin et de la vue dégagée, ce qui est vraiment un plaisir pour des parisiens en ces temps de Covid. Le marché à 2min à pied de la maison le samedi matin est un plus. Je recommande et espère revenir pour de prochains week-end entres amis !

Excellent we

Un week-end fort réussi : une maison familiale très adaptée et très agréable. Flexibilité également dans les horaires de départ et d'arrivée, ce qui était très appréciable. Accueil chaleureux. Très bon contact avec le propriétaire. Le billard est plutôt un billard d'enfant.

Très belle propriété, idéale pour un décompresser, au calme et proche de Paris

Nous avons réserver cette propriété pour un week-end entre amis. Très bien située (proche des transports et commerces), nous avons apprécié le calme et les commodités (piscine chauffée, ballons, trampoline...). La maison est magnifique, nous la recommandons pour un séjour en famille ou entre amis. Merci Emmanuel pour votre accueil.

Séjour globalement agréable

Grande maison, agréable pour un groupe de jeunes cherchant à passer un weekend convivial. Le propriétaire était disponible et a gentillement répondu à toutes nos questions. Seul bémol, la propreté de la maison laissait un peu à désirer.
