Cozy Country Cabin nestled on a quiet restful acreage in the heart of Kentucky

Country Tiny House with a complete mini kitchen and full bathroom with shower. Double sleeper sofa downstairs. Upstairs is a loft with a big king bed, a single daybed with a trundle bed. Can sleep up to 6.
electric fireplace, air, and heat.
All linens and bedding included.
Full-size fridge, microwave, kuirig coffee maker, and toaster, cookware, charcoal grill.
Free Wifi. Parking close to cabin.

Close to Barren River Lake or Brown's Ford where you can put your boat in or go fishing... a Country Cabin in the midst of quietness and peace. Four and a half miles from Fountain Run, about 25 miles from Glasgow or Tompkinsville.

You are welcome to roam through the woods and Meander along the Little Creek in the holler. Build yourself a campfire and have a hotdog roast …
Or just enjoy looking out over the hay field and listening to the birds singing in the trees. Watch for deer and wild turkey.

Most of the time, we will be right close by, as you need us. Other times, we will try to be as close as the phone.
We will bring you a complimentary pan of delicious cinnamon rolls on your morning of choice! Just give us notice the day before..

Add additional cinnamon rolls to your night when you book!
Pop them in the oven till warm and gooey, then indulge in wonderful homemade goodness! 4 per pan. Price per pan $15.00

Great little getaway

We loved our stay at the cabin! Beautiful property with lots to explore. Nearby fishing spots and restaurants. The bed was super comfy and the owners made the most amazing cinnamon rolls! We’d definitely stay here again.

Nice natural surroundings. Plenty of nature and wildlife. Nice clean cabin, but would have been better with laundry facility, or washer and dryer because nearest town was 13 miles away. So was all the other major stores as well. Really good folks to rent lease from, and had no problems with anything at all.

Cozy cute cabin

This was the perfect place for our stay in Fountain Run, Ky. We came for a dirt bike race and needed a close place to stay to the race location. Owners were extremely sweet and responsive. We also got to enjoy a dinner from Nanny Jo’s. I recommend checking this restaurant out. If we ever come back, we will forsure stay here again! Great hospitality!

We will definitely be back. The cottage is perfect for a couple wanting a quiet stress free getaway. Nanny Joes restaurant is 2 1/2 miles away and is a definite go to place. Anything you need is 20 minutes in either direction.

This cabin is adorable. Absolutely loved sitting on the covered deck drinking coffee and watching the trees move with the wind and hearing all the birds singing. We even saw a hummingbird. We did not see a road from our cabin site. All we saw from our cabin was the woods. The inside of the cabin was clean. It looked brand new . The king size bed upstairs was so comfortable . We are planning on coming back in the fall to see the fall colors I recommend staying at Fred and Iris’s cabin. If you want peace and quiet and beautiful surroundings, this cabin is waiting for you.

Great Getaway

Perfect for young travelers and/or travelers with children. Not so perfect for older travelers who have to go in the night. (Bedroom is upstairs, bathroom is downstairs) Otherwise, the cabin was great! It was clean and comfortable (bed was amazing). Owners were friendly but didn't answer phone calls or return messages.

Baby Moon at its Best

What an amazing weekend! We were expecting a nice getaway before our baby arrives and wanted a nice secluded cabin weekend - what we got was beyond our expectations! Tucked away in the country, away from everything, is this cabin in Fountain Run. We had all the amenities provided plus one of the most comfortable king size beds we have ever been in! Good night sleep and such a relaxing evening. Plus close by is the downtown Main St. So cute and small with Nannie Jo’s Diner - such a good breakfast! Please consider this place for your next night away! Iris was a sweetheart and gave us everything we needed to relax. Thank you thank you!!!

Wonderful time with great hosts

I've spent the most wonderful time in Fred and Iris's cabin - they are very nice, friendly and accommodating hosts. The cabin is very cozy and has everything, with lots of beautiful nature around and big deck to watch the nature from. I got to go much bird watching and see other wildlife. I also am thankful for a chance to discover this nice part of Kentucky, to enjoy the ambiance of the area and shop for great produce in local Amish shops. Very peaceful place. Thank you Iris and Fred!

Super cozy cabin in rural Kentucky

We had a lovely stay at this cabin. It was very clean inside and well-stocked, even with little things that make life so much easier, like containers and plastic wrap! Fred and Iris were very nice and I would highly recommend this place to anyone wishing for a quiet getaway. I was very pleased that there was no TV in the cabin. ;) The only complication we had was that the address on the mailbox is VERY faint and hard to see and we drove past it a few times before finally finding it, since there is no cell reception or internet service in the area so GPS wasn't working . Their wi-fi works fine, though, once you are all settled in!

12 years ago we moved from British Columbia, Canada. We have found 16 acres nestled in the beautiful hills of Kentucky close to our children and two of our granddaughters! We love the quiet, peaceful life...
And would love to share it with you!
We go to church each Sunday where everyone is welcome. We live 4 miles from a little town that takes you back in time.
We are retired but are starting to host guests with our first cozy cabin this spring!
You can take walks in woods down to a little creek, have yourself a barbeque, enjoy the quiet countryside...

We love our home in the rolling hills of Kentucky. Located in the Bible belt, this area is filled with good people who help one another and believe in the good old fashioned way of life where God and family come before money and fame!
We moved from a productive tourism filled life and area to the quietness of this lovely place to be near our children and find a restful place to call home.

Barren river lake has accesses as close as approx 7 miles away. Barren River state park is about 12 miles away.
Closest town is 4 1/2 miles away. Fountain Run, which boasts a Country Store with all kinds of neat things and groceries, Nannie Jo's restaurant with cheap prices and good southern food including catfish, Flappers gas station, a little antique store -open by request, at least four churches, and a dollar store!
There is a small park about 2 miles away.
