About the host
Hosted by Joe Crimmins
Joe is a lifelong resident of South Bend and specifically the east side and considered the University of Notre Dame his backyard. Kathy is a transplant from the pacific NW. We have 3 college age children.
Why they chose this property
Our home has 5 bedrooms and the kitchen, dining and family rooms were designed with our very large family in mind. We've had over 50 people in the home for holiday celebrations. It flows very well and has gourmet kitchen appliances and layout.
What makes this property unique
We bought this home to allow us to have our elderly father move in with us. We added on and renovated the one with the needs of a nearly 90 year old person in mind. The previous owner was very active at a local parish and often had former President of Notre Dame, Father Ted Hesburgh as a guest for social justice committee meetings. Our home is very close to campus, downtown, the zoo and shopping and easy to get to from the toll road. Kathy grew up in the pacific northwest and was attracted to this home due to its location, the warmth and friendliness of the families in neighborhood, it walkability and and most notably the large pine trees in the private backyard which reminded Kathy of her native Washington State.
