Recommend spacious accommodation and friendly helpful hostess Chantal.

We had a great 3 weeks stay in the small peaceful hilltop village of La Gaude. accommodation was spacious, well equipped and within walking distance to 2 restaurants, local bar and supermarket. Chantal was a wonderful, friendly, hostess, full of touristic and travel ideas for our stay. Being elderly we found the train from Cagnes sur mer to coastal places, Monaco, Nice, Cannes etc. ideal, Would recommend The Monastery House.

very helpful and nice landlord, Appartment well equipped, beautiful garden and nice old house. Parking on public parking next to police station free of charge but have to walk a little . Our dog also loved the garden

Wow just Wonderfull !!

We had the best time in La Gaude. Chantal was a wonderfull host. We enjoyed the apartment it was very comfortable and spacious with lots of sunlight. A former monastery was a very unique and enjoyable stay. The Moulin was very interesting and neat to visit. The village was cute and plenty to do. Two weeks was not enough and we will return if possible. I would recommend this rental to other travelers.

A Wonderful Week in the South of France

We had a wonderful week in the charming settings of the former monastery. The owner, Chantal, was very warm-hearted and maintained discreet contact with us throughout to ensure that our stay was an enjoyable one. The dwelling was true to the on-line description and was neat and well-maintained. For those who want to explore the Provence and the Cote D’Azur, it’s a perfect location. Au calme dans un beau village provencal juché sur un baou sur les hauteurs de Cagnes a 15 minutes du bord de mer, cette vaste maison de pierre est un havre de paix. Pièces voûtées, murs blanchis, sol carrelé, belle et grande terrasse ornée de bananiers, tout concourt au repos et à la détente. Un mot pour Chantal, la maîtresse des lieux, qui a su, tout en restant discrète, nous épauler sur les lieux méritant une visite. Grand merci à elle.

Toller Aufenthalt nahe Nizza

Wir durften eine wunderbare Woche im gemütlilchen Dörfchen "La Gaude"verbringen. Die Ferienunterkunft hat toll zum den alten Städtcchen "La Gaude" gepasst und ist bestens eingerichtet. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und der Empfang sowie die Betreuung der Gastgeberin war hervorragend. Auch dem Hund hat der dazugehörige Orangengarten gut gefallen. Wir kommen gerne wieder. Très bon séjour proche de la mer et de l’arrière-pays niçois.

Très beau séjour, Chantal est très disponible et de très bons conseils. L’endroit et la position permettant d’alterner la baignade et la visite des villages aux alentours (St Paul de Vence, Tourrette sur loup, Grasse, Gourdon, etc …).

Un excellent séjour

Un excellent séjour. Chantal a été très accueillante, attentionnée et discrète. L’endroit est idéal pour visiter les alentours (Nice, St Paul de Vence notamment) et se reposer. Le logement est spacieux et agréable. À recommander sans hésitation.

Fantastisch verblijf in La Gaude

Super leuk en comfortabel huis. Verhuurster is heel erg aardig en behulpzaam. Dorp La Gaude is een leuk dorpje waar regelmatig e.e.a. wordt georganiseerd. Nice, Monica, St. Paul de Vence zijn dicht in de buurt alsook het strand in Cagnes sur Mer. Echt een aanrader. Wij hebben als kopper erg genoten.

La Gaude oberhalb von Cagnes-sur-mer

Eine schöne, grosse Ferienwohnung mit besonderem Flair. Die Wohnung ist geräumig, mit schönem Wohnzimmer mit Esstisch, geräumigem Schlafzimmer, zweitem Schlafzimmer für ebenfalls 2 Personen, Küche, Abstellraum und einem aussergewöhnlichen Badezimmer. Waschmaschine, Spülmaschine, Kühl- und Gefrierkombination und was man sonst in einem Haushalt braucht, sind vorhanden. Im Gartenbereich ein Gasgrill und ein Gartentisch mit Stühlen. Der Garten mit Orangenbäumen bietet ebenfalls viel Platz und ist hundeausbruchssicher, zumindest bei unserem Schäferhund. Gleich oberhalb in Wohnungsnähe eine Pizzeria, eine Bar und nicht weit im Dorf ein Supermarkt. Auf dem Parkplatz in der Dorfmitte war immer ein Platz zu finden. Hundegassi: In 1 km Entfernung im Val de Salettes, dort ebenfalls Parkmöglichkeit, dazu gibt es dort einen Freiluftfitnessparcour mit funktionierenden Geräten, sowie einem kleinen Wanderweg von 1,5km Länge. Mit dem Auto bloß nicht ins Innendorf reinfahren, in den engen Gässchen ist man sonst verloren als Autofahrer! Tip für die Ankunftsfahrt: Im Navi als Ziel Cagnes-sur-mer eingeben, erst wenn man dort ist: La Gaude eingeben, sonst wird man vom Navi quer durch die engen Seitentäler geschickt, dort ist man als Fremder verloren. Überhaupt in der Gegend, in den Städtchen, nicht zuviel dem Navi vertrauen, sondern die Strassen genau in Augenschein nehmen, bevor man dort einfährt. Es gibt viele Möglichkeiten der Freizeitgestaltung. Die Vermieterin, Frau Minetti, ist sehr nett.

Wunderschönes Haus mit dicken Steinmauern und Garten mit Orangen- und Mispelbäumen

Wir haben den Aufenthalt in diesem ehemaligen Kloster sehr genossen und dabei vor allem die etwas weitere Umgebung besucht (Chagallmuseum und russisch-orthodoxe Kirche in Nizza und Wanderungen im Esterelgebirge und um das Cap d'Antibes mit ausgiebigen Badepausen an traumhaften Felsenbuchten). Die Vermieterin, Chantal Minotti, war dabei sehr zugewandt und immer hilfreich und besorgt um unser Wohl. Herzlichen Dank noch einmal!

Ein lebendiges Bergdorf

La Gaude ist ein traumhaft schön gelegenes Bergdorf mit einer aktiven Dorfgemeinschaft. Das Appartement liegt in einer alten Olivenmühle. Ein altes Gemäuer, welches nach bestem Wissen und Gewissen in Stand gehalten wird. Direkt über den Dächern der Mühle befindet sich eine kleine romantische Kirche mit stündlich schlagender Turmuhr. Chantal ist eine sehr zuvorkommende Vermieterin, die sich herzlich um ihre Mieter kümmert, in ihrer Abwesenheit übernimmt dies eine Nachbarin. So ist immer jemand in greifbarer Nöhe. Während unserer Zeit gab es einen Berglauf mit anschließender Dorfparty. La Gaude liegt so zentral, dass sich Tagesausflüge nach Nizza, Antibes, Saint Tropez anbieten.

Das Haus entsprach den Fotos auf dem Buchungsportal einhundertprozentig. Die Vermieterin des Hauses ist sehr freundlich und angenehm in der Kommunikation. Direkt neben dem Haus befindet sich eine leckere Pizzaria. Ist ein ruhiges Bergdorf. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.

Die Unterkunft war sehr schön, wir waren sehr begeistert, entsprach voll unseren Erwartungen. Sehr schön gerne wieder

Alles war hervorragend. Wir haben das Objekt wie auf den Bilder und der Beschreibung vorgefunden. In einer schönen ruhigen Lage mit tollen Ausblick, zwischen Berg und Meer. Die Vermiterin ist sehr liebevoll und immer da wenn man sie braucht, oder fragen hat. Die Pizzaria im Ort ist super lecker. Mit dem Auto ist es nicht weit zum Meer. Danke Chantal es war sehr schön bei dir.

Wunderschöne großzügige Ferienwohnung in traumhafter Lage

Es passte für uns perfekt, ein paar Tage Provence im Frühling - bestens eingerichtete Wohnung, es fehlte nichts, die Lage in La Gaude ist einfach herrlich. Auf der Terrasse in der Sonne sitzen, es duften die Orangen-Blüten, wunderschöner Blick ins Tal bis zum Meer. Zum Meer nur wenige Minuten mit dem Auto, Einkaufsmöglichkeit zu Fuß (Supermarkt), sehr gute Pizzeria und kleine Bar in unmittelbarer Nachbarschaft. Abgesehen von den Glocken der Kirche nebenan auch sehr ruhig. Ideal als Ort zum Entspannen und Abschalten, als Ausgangspunkt für die Erkundung der Provence, zu Fuß oder mit dem Auto. Und besonders hoch zu loben ist die Vermieterin, stets erreichbar und sehr auf die Zufriedenheit der Feriengäste bedacht. Sehr empfehlenswert!
