We require that your dog be completely potty trained and prefer dogs older than 2 years old. Crate Trained pups are preferred to deter mischievous behavior while you and your party are enjoying the beach. It is understood that while we do allow dogs with the mentioned stipulations any damages that occur during your stay will be charged to the credit card on file with the minimum fee being $350.00.

INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens & towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Lovely place to stay. Convenient place, close to ocean (by golf cart) and pool (short walk from house). Only complaint - internet was out when we got there and could not be fixed until after we left. This caused inconvenience and angst!!!!

Family/Spring Break trip 2021

House was beautiful, clean and well equipped. The setting is beautiful and having the pool right next door was great for the kids to go swimming. We loved having the firepit on the property and used it every night. Only issues we experienced was the Wifi was nonexistent but not a big deal for us and it took a couple of calls to the management company to get someone there to service the golf cart which wasn't working. Overall, we had a wonderful time!

Awesome place! Was super nice having a close pool for young kids. The only reason for not 5 stars is that the beach is down 40+ stairs that are steep and you have to walk a little ways to get up to a beach your you can actually set up. No big deal for a few chairs and a light tent, but if you have kiddos and more supplies it is pretty rough, but we just figured out to take less stuff next come! Overall a great stay!

Beautiful Home

Everything was beautiful! Our only issue is the " beach access". To access the beach was super easy & close but.....you then had to walk quite a ways down the beach for "beach privilege", had to walk to the public part of the beach, most of the beach is private so you will be run off. The house was beautiful, no issues there.

Perfect Multiple Family Vacation Home

Shore Things was the PERFECT vacation home for our multi-generation family. With 3 large king bedrooms and a 6 bed bunk room, everyone had their own personal space and bathrooms. But the common family room/dining/kitchen was an amazing space to gather for meals, movies and games! We used the golf cart to transport the tent, chairs and coolers to the beach and then rode bikes back and forth throughout the day. The amenities for the house provided everything for a comfortable, stress-free vacation. As we are settling in back home, we are already coordinating dates for next year's stay!

Chilly and fun!

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Since we visited during the abnormally frigid weather front, we couldn’t spend too much time on the beach or in the pool but we enjoyed the well-stocked games at the house. The home is beautiful and provided enough space for the eight of us to spread out. The cold weather caused the outdoor shower to malfunction and even though it was Christmas Eve, the property managers were quick to respond and take care of the issue with little interruption to us. Much appreciated!

Beautiful home

Beautiful and well equipped home. Beautifully furnished, a shed full of water toys, and really great location. Golf cart was perfect! Only issue we had is the garbage disposal leaked water under the sink and then the dishwasher stopped working so doing dishes was painful. Maintenance didn’t fix during our stay.

Family vacation 2020

Having the golf cart made this amazing because of the distance to the beach. Very nice home right across from the pool. Very accommodating for our group of nine. Only negative was slightly slow communication with management company and we thought we would get a slightly earlier check-in. Unit was still uncleaned at 2 pm when we arrived. Finally done at 4:45 (my fault for not reading the fine print). Loved Shore Thing overall!

It was just OK

The house was not very clean upon arrival. Hair all over the shower walls of two showers. Medicine/pills on the bedroom floor, all lamps and light fixtures covered in dust, half the outlets didn’t work, golf cart went missing for an entire day with no notice and there are weeds up to 4 foot tall all around the entire house. You couldn’t sit in a chair by the fire pit if you wanted to it was so grown up around it. Just lack of maintenance, landscaping and housekeeping.

Shorething Magnolia Cottage

Nice house. Difficult to park big SUV's.Need nonstick pans desperately. Dusty AC vents and ceiling fan blades. One rude Property manager said bikes did not come with house even when i explained they were in amenities and at the house. Another kind property manager sent me the code for the bikes that were already at our house so all was well. Agency Had no awareness that the golf-cart waiver with copy of DL and proof of insurance was already filled out in advance and would not give golf cart keys to father. I became stressed because i knew I had submitted the needed forms. After 3 phone calls and my dad going to the office, they realized the forms were there but had not seen them and which lock box the keys were in. The deeded area of beach was only 8 feet that which was occupied by chair rentals so we spent 340.00 for 3.5 days to ensure that we had beach . The amount and steepness of the stairs were difficult for my mother who is older to climb daily. Would have been nice to know that for elderly customers.

Shore Thing WAS a sure thing☺️ We have stayed in several properties in and around this location and this one was THE MOST family friendly. Some things that were amazing that we weren’t expecting…empty baskets available for organizing sunscreen, toys etc.; baby chair for feeding our grand baby; lots of WOOD hangers; cabinets, light switches labeled; quality furnishings and appliances without issues. Some of this may sound insignificant but these details can make such a difference! Now this may sound crazy to some but I happen to be a lover of good design…this was the first house I didn’t have to go around putting up ugly decor accessories that just take up needed space upon arriving! Then of course I always have to put them back before leaving! First time our adult sons with children from 9 months to 14 said…so Mom have you secured Shore Thing for next year?! Just want to say to whomever made this house possible it was much appreciated and brought great joy to our family❤️

Beach trip for Family

All was good. The house was somewhat clean. There were places that needed dusting so I then question all cleaning. The pool was not cleaned or maintained while we were there for 7 days. We loved the location and the house. We would love to come back again.

Loved home, would stay there again. Property management team gave less than great service. Checked in, discovered golf cart was not present at rental. Called office, they found out had a flat tire, would get back to me following day. I had to call. they told me wasn't sure about status, might be Monday when we got our golf cart. Told me" you know it' s Fall Break. Emily and Clint (can't remember his name who placed order on Sunday, October 6th for golf cart that spoke to me) are not an asset to the owners of the houses at Panhandle. Need to be much more service oriented.
