We truly loved staying in this house. Best location, excellent beds and pillows, comfy couch, TV streaming options, very well stocked kitchen, and a friendly host! We hope to stay again.
We had the most amazing stay! The location truly couldn't be better. We loved being able to walk just a few blocks to Main Street. The house itself is ideal. It is decorated so nicely and the bathrooms are beautiful. Two of our favorite parts of the stay were enjoying coffee on the front porch and relaxing in the hot tub in the evenings under the stars!Highly recommend to anyone looking for the ideal place to stay.
We had never stayed off the mountain, but this house was in an ideal location for everything. Short drive in the morning, easy to dinner, still quiet. The house was very clean and the host was top notch. Highly recommend and will be back.
Booked this trip for my wife, seven month old and parents and we would had an amazing time. There was plenty of room for all of us to spread out and relax. Everything was a short walk away and would definitely come back again.
Had a fantastic time in Breck! Property was as advertised, but the hot tub was undersold, AWESOME tub for a day after the slopes. Hosts were great, solid restaurant reccos, overall amazing stay. can’t go wrong here!
Perfect vacation home in Breckenridge for small group/family. We walked to everything on Main St. and you can either walk to the QuickSilver lift or the shuttle stops right outside the front door. Also, right near the sledding hill. We had a great experience!
The house was centrally located in Breckenridge which made everything walkable. The skiers in our group had easy access to the slopes. The hot tub was clean and in good working condition. The house was clean and decorated so cute! Had everything we needed. We absolutely loved the house and the town!
Family reunion/ski trip with daughter & son-in-law who live in Breckenridge
Perfectly located house for skiing- bus is across the street to all lifts or a short walk to Peak 8.
Very comfortable, clean, well equipped kitchen & comfortable home. Very thoughtful homeowner even has flip flops for the hot tub which saves the feet in the snow! Short 2 block walk to Main Street with great restaurants & shopping & beautiful walking path.
The property was in the perfect location as we were less than a 5-minute walk to Main Street. The house was in excellent condition with just the right amount of space as it had a TV room with a comfortable couch, a decent-sized kitchen with a large table, and 2 bedrooms with 2 king-sized beds and a set of bunk beds in one of the rooms. The property manager was in communication with us before and during our stay.
This property was perfect for our family of four. The location is awesome - just two blocks down to all the restaurants and shops on Main St. and one block to a great little grocery store. House was clean, comfortable, and well appointed. Brad made everything easy and was very responsive. Five stars are not enough!
This property is right in the heart of Breck making it the perfect place to stay and walk to all of the attractions. The ski shuttle stops right outside the doors providing a convenient way to hit the slopes. A grocery store right down the block gives easy access to all the goodies that you'll need.
Highlights:
This property really felt like a home away from home. We went with our 5-year old, and she LOVED the hot tub, bunk beds and games in the game table (Guess Who was her favorite).
The Italian restaurant a block away was really good, and we enjoyed calling our order in and bringing it back to the house to eat in comfort.
The grocery store is also a block away and we made a ton of trips b/c it was so easy, and made having everything we need a reality.
Communication with the owner was prompt and helpful
Need to knows:
*For a child, you will want to drive, drop-off or shuttle to the slopes. It is walkable for a adults, no problem, but we elected to pay to park ($30/day) at the Beaver Run resort public parking lot and it was worth every penny to save our legs at the end of the day.
*Confirm the correct entry code for the doors prior to day of arrival. VRBO has an outdated code in the check-in instructions
*Housekeeping forgot some items (like TP, paper towels, etc.), but the owner promptly handled and had them come back within an hour to ensure we had everything restocked. Handled as well as one could ask for, and that stuff happens.
*The heating in the house is a bit unique. The living room stays warm, but the bedrooms did not appear to have heating directly to them, so they need heat to move from the living room/fire place into them. For a cold sleeper this is great, for a warm sleeper, you'll want to leave the doors open at night to allow the warmer air to circulate throughout the home. Not a drastic difference, but worth noting.
Overall, we loved this property and would book again for a future trip. The location itself is reason enough to book, but the look and feel of the home really do make it feel like a place you could stay for weeks. Very satisfied with our experience and appreciate the owners helpful communication throughout.
This is the second time our family stayed at Viola Oak and again it did not disappoint! The location is convenient to two different shuttle lines to get to the slopes as well as restaurants, shops, etc. near Main Street. The sledding hill at Carter Park is right around the corner and the owner had several types of sleds available for us to use. Thanks again for hosting us.
As advertised. Close to Breckenridge town, grocery store, restaurants, and Peak 9. Clean, well appointed, warm and comfortable. Owner was responsive and kind. House has everything we needed. A great stay!
The house is just as pictured. It’s clean and has everything you need. The location is perfect, just mins of walking to Main Street and grocery store. The only draw back for us is master bed was very firm which was not good for us however we know this is a preference but good to know for anyone staying here. The other beds were great and comfortable. We would definitely recommend staying here!
Viola Oak was the perfect spot for our family to spend a week in the mountains during the summer. The owner made everything very easy and was super responsive to our questions. All the beds and bedrooms were comfortable and the kitchen/living room provided plenty of space to relax and have a few meals. One thing the photos don't do justice is just how lovely the high ceilings are throughout - making the whole house feel more spacious.
We were able to walk everywhere in town and the grocery store right down the street was super convenient. Also, for those with small kids, the elementary school playground provided really easy entertainment. One note is that the VRBO description stated that one bathroom had a tub/shower combination - which wasn't accurate. Both showers had hand wands, which helped get the little kids clean without issue. Just not a tub.
Overall we loved our stay and would definitely return!
Beautiful property. Very cozy and close to downtown which made it easy for our teens to got out on their own. Quick shuttle trip to the slopes and the pick-up was right outside our front door. We would definitely stay again. Thanks for helping make our stay memorable.
We just loved the house on French street. The whole place is updated and well equipped with anything you need. We also loved the hot tub, it was great after hard days of skiing. A big thank you to Brad for being so flexible, our son broke his wrist the beginning of February and we were able to move our dates to a later time. I am so glad we did, we had a blast. Thank you!
