About the host
Hosted by Laurie Daniel

My husband and I are from Durham, NC and currently live in Raleigh. We both grew up coming to the beaches in Carteret County and have always loved it. Our honeymoon was in Indian Beach and Beaufort has always been our happy place.
Why they chose this property
This is a peaceful, sunny home and you feel good as soon as you walk in the door. We've tried to make sure you have everything you need to enjoy and get the most out of your stay. It's perfect for a rest and rejuvenation break and equally as perfect for an active, full speed ahead vacation. Everyone is very friendly and there's always something to do. We love the small town feel of the area and the beautiful nature that surrounds us. It truly is our Beaufort Tonic and our small piece of paradise.
What makes this property unique
We love our front porch and many a bottle of wine has been consumed watching the horses on Carrot Island and the boats drifting down Taylor's Creek. We love being able to walk to Blue Moon, Aqua or Beaufort Grocery for dinner or down to the Dockhouse for some music. You won't want to miss the Beaufort Wine and Food Festival or the Summer Party hosted by the Beaufort Historical Association. Take a water taxi over to Shackleford or Bird Shoals and do some shelling. Atlantic Beach is just minutes away by car . The NC Maritime Museum is special and features all things related to Blackbeard the Pirate and Cape Lookout is breathtaking.
