About the host
Hosted by Michael Stevenson & Kim Thrower

We are a family of four who have raised our kids in North Carolina and spent many summers in Beaufort, so we know what a great place Beaufort is. We love to travel and have stayed in many vacation rentals ourselves so we tried to make this house a place where we would like to stay based on those experiences. We are also dog lovers with two poodles, so we understand that guests want to bring them along on vacation too.
Kim and Michael are both architects and we have furnished the house to be comfortable, relaxing and aesthetically pleasing, with a fresh, contemporary feel. If you are looking for something decorated with fish nets, sea shells and sand dollars you will probably want to stay somewhere else! Our daughter is an amateur photographer and we have many of her photos displayed throughout the house.

Why they chose this property
We have had a weekend house in Beaufort for years so we know the area very well. We spent a lot of time looking for a property for guests to vacation in that we thought would make a great place for a family to spend their time in Beaufort, and we feel that Beau Coast checks all of the boxes.
The Beau Coast neighborhood is a short bike or golf cart ride to downtown Beaufort shopping and dining, and we provide five bikes for your use to get around on. Beau Coast is very safe and family-friendly, with lots of people walking or riding bikes and golf carts. The community has great amenities available for residents and guests, including a large pool, a club house with ping-pong, corn hole, and a fire pit, a private pond for canoeing and kayaking, a small deli with provisions and prepared food by Beaufort Grocery, and a private waterfront on Taylor's Creek with a dock and temporary boat slips. There is also a dog run with separate areas for large and small dogs and pickleball courts directly behind the house. In addition there is a large public park one block away with a large playground and more recreation choices.
The house and everything in it is new, the kitchen is well-appointed and stocked, there is a gas grill on the patio directly behind the kitchen. There is private off-street parking and a garage for bikes and a golf cart in the back and additional on-street parking in front of the house if you need it.
