The Neighborhood:
Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!)
In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us.
In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two hours` drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.

Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.

It has been a year since I had my 3 sons together in the same place. So grateful to have a beautiful place to stay and gather. Time with family is priceless and I hope we captured it all in the pictures taken. I’m one very blessed mom and grandma.

Glad to hear of a wonderful family gathering. We hope to host you next time you all get together.
This was my first time staying at a short-term rental and I suspect it will spoil me for future rentals. The cabin had everything we needed and more. You won’t find a better view of Grizzly Peak than the one from the picture window. I’ll be staying here for all future trips to Red Lodge, if possible, so if you’re heading there around Spring Break, please stay away! :)

We're thrilled to hear your first short-term rental experience was such a great one and that the cabin had everything you needed. We completely agree—the view of Grizzly Peak is unbeatable! We’d love to host you again for all your future trips to Red Lodge! Thanks again for the fantastic review, and we can’t wait to welcome you back! :)
Great property just outside of Red Lodge. We loved the beautiful mountain views through the living room window and the daily visits of deer. Beds, showers, back deck, and grill were all wonderful. We were concerned the nearby fires would ruin our stay, but everything worked out beautifully. Blue skies, great weather, and good friends. Just what we hoped for. We highly recommend dining at Piccola Cucina - great food and even better service. Looking forward to returning next summer.

Thank you for coming, we look forward to your next stay!
House was very nice, well kept as advertised. One concern was the lack of ice from the automatic ice maker and water dispenser found in the refrigerator. Water line appears to not be hooked up or is malfunctioning.
Once repaired we would return to the property.
