Red Lodge, nestled in the foothills of the Beartooth Mountains, is a wonderful place to visit if you are looking for family fun, a place to touch the wild, or just a chance to let your hair down. Whether you are wearing Birkenstocks or cowboy boots, you will find something to do here. (Although downtown is paved and we even have sidewalks, Jimmy Choos are probably not a great idea!)
In winter the road ends here. Downhill skiing, snowboarding, snowmobiling, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, ice skating, sledding and sleigh riding are just the short list of activities that you can do when visiting us.
In summer we revel in the Beartooth Pass opening. We are only 68 miles from Yellowstone Park, but plan on a good two hours` drive as the “Pass” is stunning in high mountain vistas, rocky cliffs, and jeweled lakes. The Custer National Forest is a haven for wildlife including elk, moose, mountain goats, big horn sheep, bears (black and grizzly), mountain lions and wolves. Golden marmots are often seen dashing across the trails. Golden and bald eagles often visit our area, as well as sandhill cranes and blue herons.

Red Lodge, Montana is a rural community that does offer internet and cell service throughout most geographic areas but, some locations are completely void of any internet or cell service. In town and within a 3-5 mile radius of downtown you will enjoy solid cell signal but during times when our population increases due to events, celebration (such as the Fourth of July), or emergency situations such as a wildfire you will notice that these online and cellular services slow down and sometimes, they can slow down to the point where you have to wait to place a call. We can’t do anything to help in these situations, so we encourage people to enjoy the freedom of being “unplugged” and to be patient.

Great place with an outstanding location. Our group really enjoyed our stay. 10 of us were very comfortable in this beautiful place right on Rock Creek.
Great place to return to after a day of skiing! This rental had space for nine of us. The hot tub was enjoyed each day after skiing.

Thank you for the fantastic review! We're so happy to hear that the space worked well for your group and that the hot tub was the perfect way to unwind after a day on the slopes. It sounds like you had an amazing time, and we’d love to host you all again after your next ski adventure!
We loved this property. Three families stayed here for ski trip with plenty of room. Love the king bedrooms and the bunk/kid cave for the kids. Hot tub and deck were beautiful. Extra extra towels were so nice. The large table was great for meals and game playing. Location is perfect and walking distance to downtown. Will definitely stay again!
Despite the stormy, chilly weather in the Beartooths, I got in my annual visit to my families cemetery plots in Rockvale and Bridget, a restorative hike and even took a ride in a 1936 Yellowstone Park Bus with my friends over at the Buses of Yellowstone Preservation Trust ❤️
The townhouse was very well appointed with all of the necessary amenities. We also appreciated the cleanliness of the house. I particularly liked that lights had been left on for us since we arrived in the dark. Highly recommend this rental!

Wonderful stay and excellent location and amenities.
Wonderful stay and excellent location and amenities. The home did unfortunately have a dog odor which can happen in properties allowing pets, but it was known that pets were allowed at the time of booking.
Perfect location with excellent proximity to town but yet quiet. Wonderful getaway. Wish it was above zero to enjoy more of what the area had to offer!

Our family of 5 were more than comfortable in the Rock Creek Jewel.
Our family of 5 were more than comfortable in the Rock Creek Jewel. It was very roomy and well stocked. The location is perfect, an easy walk to downtown and short drive to ski. Our rental experience with AAA Red Lodge Rentals was flawless. Check in and out was quick and easy. The rental experience was perfect.
This home is absolutely beautiful. The water running behind the property made for a stunning morning with coffee! The "loft" is more of a common area, but plenty of space for all of us to stay and the master bedroom is gorgeous!

Thank you for allowing us to stay at your beautiful property. The view out the back was stunning and it was very relaxing to sit in the hot tub and listen to the water down below. It was nice to get away for a weekend. Great place to stay. Made our trip easy with all of the communication.

Loved every minute of it The entire experience was amazing and the property was incredible
Best location in Red Lodge - Rock Creek out your back door
My husband & I stayed in a different unit in this same association last year & absolutely loved the location so it was top of our list this year as well.
The location is unbeatable, right on Rock creek which is so relaxing, quiet and low traffic. There is a large deck & hot tub overlooking the creek. We love to open the windows and listen to the rushing water as we drift off to sleep. It is a TH complex so we did see other folks on adjacent decks but it wasn't an issue. Out the back there are trees on both shores & it is reasonably private & very pretty.
It is also a wonderfully walkable location, just 3 short blocks to the main drag with plenty of shops & restaurants. If you walk down 13th thru town & jog over a block or 2 to the south you can find a trail up the hill to walking trails on the West ridge of town. It's a flat trail once you get up there & the views are lovely!
We did have an issue with the hot tub when we arrived. The 1st night there, there was so much chlorine in the tub that we couldn't even sit in it. Our eyes/lungs were burning just standing next to it. I texted the management company that night & they were out the next morning. It was much better that night but still a little harsh. We added a little more water the next day & all was well.
The unit was clean & spacious. The beds are comfortable although the bed in the owners suite is a tall 4 poster so they have stairs to climb up. It may be an issue for those with mobility issues.
The kitchen is well stocked with plates, utensils, pots & pans, kitchen appliances & there were plenty of towels. There were some fancy soaps in the bathrooms but no shampoo/conditioner etc.
A few things we didn't like about this unit compared with the other unit we stayed in:
- The closet in the owners suite is locked. There is a wardrobe/TV cabinet that has a couple of drawers for storage but not a lot for clothing storage in the master.
- They don't give you a garage door opener so it's kind of a pain coming & going from garage. Garage is also not huge & filled w/bikes & garbage cans.
- There is no TV in the living room, just a small one on the kitchen counter. Otherwise you have to sit in the windowless loft, the 4th BR or in bed to watch TV. Not ideal for watching movies.
Overall a lovely & relaxing get-away!
Pro Tip: Drive to Nye & hike the Sioux Charlie Trail if you have time & enjoy a gorgeous hike! *Bring Bear Spray!

We were very satisfied and the amenities of the property exceeded our expectations.
We were very satisfied and the amenities of the property exceeded our expectations. The minor issue of the TVs and hot tub did not dampen the pleasure of our stay here. We would definitely consider using your team again when we return to the area. The team was great thru from the reservation thru taking care of the TVs during the stay. I would recommend that the TVs are checked after tenants leave as they plug in their own devices and dis-connect the cable or re-connect it incorrectly.
