Elegant Villa Near University of Oregon and Matthew Knight Arena

There's a video of the house on this website which will give prospective guests a good idea of the layout. This lovely home, built in 1926 and extensively updated, sits overlooking the University of Oregon. Fairmount Blvd.,one of the most prestigious streets in Eugene, is a short walk from the University and the Matthew Knight Arena. (Great for events including the U of O woman's and men's basketball!)

The fully equipped kitchen had granite counters, two drop-in gas cooktops, two refrigerators, dishwasher, garbage disposal and a lovely antique dining table that seats twelve.

The balcony/covered deck with gas barbecue and outside dining table has a magnificent view that makes it a perfect place to cook and entertain friends.

All rooms are fully furnished with king, queen or standard double beds. Linens, towels, paper products and all household items provided.

The owner's have a separate space below the house used as their office and storage for supplies for the house.

We are delighted to welcome family gatherings at our home. However we do not permit weddings.

This is an ideal property for a large group within walking distance of campus and Prince Pucklers. :-) We had three generations all staying together for a wedding in Eugene. It is very well-equipped for cooking and comfortably hosting a large group. Communication was great, although we had everything we needed without having to reach out. We felt welcome, and appreciated that having a couple of others join us here and there for a meal was not discouraged. Notably, this is a multi-level home with stairs at both entry points. Would not be well-suited for individuals with mobility issues. We will definitely stay again if we are back in town with our extended family.

Amazing Home

This was the ideal place to stay! Gorgeous outside and in. Can walk to food, Matthew knight arena and stores. Everything was perfect for graduation celebration.

Villa for Family Oregon Ducks Football Trip

Great home for large family gatherings!

We rented 1819 Fairmount for my 40th birthday party- We hosted a Masquerade Murder Mystery Dinner Party and it was the perfect setting. The house had everything we needed and the owner of the home is wonderful and great with communication.

Family get-together

Family members from various locations met together in Eugene. House could not have been better! We were all together under one roof yet, due to the size and layout of the house, we had our privacy. Great House

Want to thank Wendy for provide her home to me and my friends for the USC - Ducks game weekend. The 10 bedroom, 5 bathroom home was perfect to house the 15 of us. Hope to stay there again when I come back to Eugene for the various University events.

Funky layout

Not sure if this was originally built as a sorority or frat house with its 10 bedrooms and multiple stairs and levels. However it fit our group very well and we enjoyed the house ands it’s location.

4-generation celebration

Good area for walking and enjoying the park and neighborhood. Views from bedrooms fabulous. Dog owners appreciated the accommodation. For two sit-down dinners, I rented 6-ft tables and folding chairs, so we could all be together in the garage. Needed more hand-towels and washcloths in first floor bathroom, used by everyone!!

Wendy was the most accommodating VRBO owner I have ever met. She was easy to work with, prompt when responding to my messages/questions, met me there a few weeks before to do a walkthrough, and this house served our family well for our needs. We hosted a rehearsal dinner in the yard for 34 people and it was beautiful. The entire bridal party plus parents stayed in this house the night before the wedding (19 total) and everyone had a bed. We assumed some of the bridesmaids or groomsmen might end up on the floor, but there were rollaway beds as well as couches in some rooms that people could sleep on. The one downfall to this house is the number of steps. Unloading and loading requires lots of steps and anywhere in the house (bedrooms) requires lots of steps as well. The garage is on the backside of the house so unloading from the garage side you go down steps to the main living area. We were able to handle the steps fine, but not everyone would be able to handle that many steps. I give this house and experience a 10 star due to our overall experience. I’ve stayed in much nicer houses, (this is an older home) but it’s rare to find a spacious 10 bedroom house. Street parking was not an issue for our large group. I brought several mirrors for the wedding day but none were needed. This house had floor length mirrors in rooms and lots of bathrooms. I highly recommend Wendy’s home. It was a quick 15 minutes to Mount Pisgah Arboretum where our son got married.

Overall very happy, home accommodated our volleyball team nicely. There are many stairs so something to consider with those with physical limitations or who can’t navigate stairs. Provided parking permits which was great as garages are not very deep. Kitchen well stocked and Wendy responded quickly to all questions. Easy cleanup and low stress.

Amazing Rental!

This was house is amazing! We had a fabulous stay in this huge house. It fit 14 people and dog comfortable. Everyone was amazing when doing the tour of the house when we first got there finding all 10 bedrooms. The home was clean and welcoming and stocked with 2 of each appliances. Totally recommend for big families!!! We all loved this house! Ps shout out to the neighbor on the right. For letting us use their drive way for my 84 year old grandma to cut through their yard to get too and from the house.

Amazing Mom's Weekend Celebration!

What an incredible home - thank you so much for sharing!! Our group of 10 moms loved being able to be together and host our kids for Mom's weekend at U of O - it was the perfect location, perfect size house and everyone (i mean everyone!) enjoyed our time here. Our host, Wendy, was super sweet and easy to communicate with - one little question at the beginning of our stay was resolved immediately. So great to have the fast response! The home is well taken care of with plenty of space for moms and kids. Looking forward to rebooking for DUCK games and Mom's weekends in the future! Thank you Wendy!

Lovely stay

My multigenerational family stayed at the Villa over the Christmas holiday. We had an amazing stay! The house was well spread out with space for everyone to be comfortable in! The house was very clean and had everything you could think of that you might need. The kitchen was very well stocked, every detail thought of that you would need for cooking, from plenty of dishwater to instantpots and slow cookers. The beds were comfortable with plenty of blankets. The house is very quiet, which is very nice with a large family staying in it! The host Wendy was easy to get a hold of if you needed anything and was very flexible with me, it was a pleasure to interact with her and rent her beautiful house! The only thing to be aware of before renting is that the house is on many levels with lots of stairs. It’s what really makes it nice and spread out but also something to think about for less mobile people.

Excellent for a large group!

This house was perfect for our 19 adults and 2 children, and we really enjoyed exploring all the floors and rooms, lounging on the balcony, and listening to music in the living room. Primarily we were thrilled to be able to stay all together rather than renting several small houses that may not be near each other. We had a couple of extra people who didn't have a bedroom, so the roll-away beds were particularly useful for us. We also found the kitchen to be extraordinarily well-stocked - above and beyond what you typically find in a rental. Wendy was easy to communicate with, and we had a wonderful time renting this house! I do want to make a suggestion for future renters, however. Sound travels extremely well through the house, and we did not think about that when we chose our bedrooms. If members in your group stay up late, the ones who go to bed early should pick the rooms that are as far away from the common area as possible, 3rd or 4th floor ideally. 2nd floor was definitely not far away enough. Just a tip!

Because it was a wonderful house. Built in 1926 and extensively updated it was in bad condition and need lots of TLC and dough ray mi!! Fun to fix up and rewarding to see it shine again.
