Our home is located in the heart of the Niagara Peninsula, close to both Toronto and Niagara Falls. Our 2 acre country retreat is at the end of a quiet road, nestled in a forest creating an oasis: quiet and relaxing.
Enjoy a glass of local wine in the hot tub and check out the stars. Sit under a covered deck and enjoy the scenery in any type of weather and warm up at the fire pit set beside the pond. Relax in the sun on lounge chairs or get active by hiking the trails around the property.
Our home includes 4 bedrooms (2 king, 2 queen) and a large family sleeping area (2 queen beds and a futon) The basement is finished with family sleeping area, wood stove and television.
The kitchen is fully equipped with all items you will need for the duration of your stay.
As for day trips in the area, there is so much to choose from!
1. Niagara Falls (30 mins): Beyond viewing the World famous Falls there are lots of other attractions including the Botanical Gardens, Butterfly Conservatory, Hornblower Niagara Cruises, Journey Behind the Falls, casinos for adults, Marineland for the kids, and Clifton Hill for the tourist.
2. Toronto (1 hour): Downtown Toronto is one of the most culturally diverse cities in the world. There you will find fabulous theatre, music concerts and jazz festivals, restaurants of every nationality, major league sporting events and galleries and the world famous Royal Ontario Museum(ROM).
3. Niagara-on-the-Lake (45 mins) : often called the loveliest town in Ontario; world class live theatre at Shaw, fine dining, shopping, estate wineries and historical sites
4. Many beautiful wineries to choose from including Wescott, Flatrock, Vineland Estates & 13th Street Winery. Many others located within 15 minutes drive from our home.
5. Championship Golf Courses (30 minutes): Niagara is home to 48 golf courses creating the greatest single concentration of golf facilities in one region anywhere in Canada
6. There are many biking/walking/hiking/rollerblading trails along the Welland canal (with 7 locks) and throughout the Niagara Region.
7. Located between 2 Great Lakes. Lake Ontario and Lake Erie sandy beaches are both 30 minutes from our home.
8. Or sit in the back yard and enjoy the view, and hot tub. (this may be a favorite activity to break up the busy days or unwind at the end of the day)
* Please note that my husband and I live on the property in a separate unit but we do not share any spaces *
