Welcome to the Pear Tree Cottage! Booking Fall and Winter with our new lower rates and fees!

Our charming, open-concept vacation home is the perfect choice for business travelers, couples and small families and more. Over 1200 square feet that includes two bedrooms, two baths, we are the perfect size and perfectly equipped for your getaway, retreat, team building or romantic get away, and offer the best alternative to a Hotel/Motel in the area.

We are conveniently located just minutes to Grand Haven and their award winning beaches.

In the home you will find:

• Two super comfortable bedrooms with luxury linens
• A fully stocked kitchen
• Two full bathrooms (one bath off the Master Bedroom)
• Gas fireplace
• Bright, open living room with 50" Smart TV
• Whole-house WiFi
• Screened in front porch
• Super cool loft space for reading or napping!
• Full-sized washer and dryer

Outside the home you will enjoy our multi-level deck complete a gas grill, covered bar area, and dinette table and chairs. The shaded, fenced in back yard is a great place to relax during the day, and at night enjoy cooking smores or conversation around our fire pit.

The home is located in historic Strawberry Pointe area of Spring Lake, Michigan. The area is littered with these small cabins that once served as hunting and fishing vacation homes in the 30 s, 40 s and 50 s. We are walking distance to the Spring Lake public beach, the expansive bike trails of the area and to the Village Baker (a must visit for great baked goods, fantastic brunch and dinners, as well as a great cup of coffee!!)

Its a breeze to get to Grand Haven - only a five minute car ride. We are a 35 minute drive to downtown Grand Rapids and a 15 minute drive to Muskegon and Hoffmaster State Park. The area bike paths are 200 yards away, the Spring Lake beach is 1 block away. We are also a short walk to Spring Lake s Central Park, where you will find an expansive playground as well as tennis, basketball and volleyball courts.

GETTING AROUND:
Its a breeze to get to Grand Haven - only a five minute car ride. We are a 35 minute drive to Downtown Grand Rapids, 15 minute drive to Muskegon.

Great quiet neighborhood location close to everything. Cottage was as advertised, and photos are accurate. Bathrooms are tight quarters with little space for toiletries, but otherwise, nothing to complain about. Will be going back in March. Thanks Frederick!

Quick getaway

Cozy place with plenty of room for 4 people. Very cute & clean. We spent time relaxing on the front porch, walking to the beach and enjoyed the near by restaurants! Also visited Grand Haven & Holland. Great place to stay!

Quiet, Cozy and Comfortable

Pear Tree Cottage was perfect for us as we were balancing work and vacation. We had options to do remote work from a cozy little nook to sitting on the deck. There is a nice living area with kitchen to hang out. The location is convenient to visit Grand Haven and easy drives to Holland and Muskegon.

Incredible place

This was a great place. Super for two couples or four people. The home is beautiful and there's lots of food and shopping in the area. Plus we also love that it's near Grand Haven and Holland for shopping. we hope to return next year

Nice Place!

This rental was very nice. We were impressed with the cleanliness and supply of basic needs for our short stay. The kids enjoyed playing in the loft and it is very close to nice parks that include playground equipment. We would definitely stay here again!

We loved the house! It was very cute, cozy and comfortable. We enjoyed the entire experience and would definitely recommend it to others! Spring Lake is a very nice little community! The sunset on the lake was lovely as well!

Girls' Weekend

This property was absolutely perfect for our girls' crafty weekend! It was very clean and cozy, tastefully decorated and well stocked. We were thrilled to find the tall table to work on (not seen in the pictures). This is our second stay in one of Frederick's properties and it definitely won't be our last!

Super Cute Cottage

Exactly as described and then some. Super cute, great kitchen and well set-up, nice bedrooms and bathrooms, clean and nicely decorated. Very beachy/cottagey vibes. 2 blocks from really cute beach and 1 block from walking trail. 2 blocks from great breakfast/lunch spot and within a mile or so of the town center of Spring Lake. Loved it!

Spring Lake home - great stay

We stayed 4 nights in this very nice Spring Lake home. The location was great, just a couple of blocks from a Spring Lake beach. and a great starting point for all the things we wanted to do in the area. Downtown Grand Haven/Boardwalk area was 8-10 min. drive, GH State park just a little further, Meijers on Rte 31 nearby for groceries. Many things to do in town and nearby, we found 3 bookstores, walked the downtown, drove to Holland. Would have done more with extra time, we'll need a longer stay next time. Inside is very welcoming with all the wood and wood trim. Layout is great for 2 couples - One bedroom has private bath, the other has bath just outside the door. Some nice touches - soap and shampoo in bath, many extras in the linen closet, 2 washers / 2 dryers, extra room in the basement with TV, Host keeps a blackboard with lists of local places and activities, we walked the Pier / Lighthouse trail and went to Rosy Mound natural area / beach. The A/C kept us cool for our late-June stay. Kitchen is well equipped, 2 coffee makers, lots of utensils, even some ice cream in the freezer left for us. The host always responded within minutes to our questions. Definitely a 5 star stay.
