Custom Log Home - True Ski-in/Ski-Out - Secluded & Beautiful!

We have a three bedroom, two bath, Ski-in/Ski-out Custom Log Home above Peak 8 in Breckenridge, Colorado. Check out our attached video to see just how easy it is to ski home! We have hardwood and slate floors with radiant heat. Our logs, Red Cedar, came from Canada. You will find a natural river rock fireplace in the living room and in the master bedroom along with antique furniture throughout this log home.

A full kitchen with granite countertops awaits you, unless you enjoy eating at the various wonderful restaurants that Breckenridge has to offer. There are full laundry facilities for your convenience. There is a separate two car log garage which saves you from any snow removal on your vehicle. Our bedrooms have queen-size pillow top mattresses with down comforters and flannel sheets. There is a surround sound audio/visual system in the living room and master bedroom.

You will enjoy separate DVDs and televisions in all bedrooms along with a DVD player in the living room. YouTube TV is provided along with movie channels. We have pre-recorded DVDs along with LCD TV's along with DVD players are also in all the bedrooms. TV's are Smart TV's and Roku.

Our home is located above the base of Peak Eight, adjacent to Trygves Run. You ski down to any of the major lifts on Peak Eight, and we have a private trail directly into our front door, right off of Trygves Run. Our ski home trail leads you to over a thousand acres of National Forest (the Breckenridge Ski Area). Trygves Run is also where lessons are offered for beginners. You'll find it easier to come home for lunch than to eat at any of the restaurants on the mountain. Whether you are on the top of Peak 6, 7, 8, 9, or 10, you are usually just one lift ride away from skiing or boarding to your front door. Also, once you start soaking in your private outdoor jacuzzi tub, it's even harder to go back skiing.

We are located five minutes above the town of Breckenridge. Breckenridge has a wide variety of excellent restaurants, and a wide variety of activities including ice skating, cross country skiing (near our home), just to name a few. You can ski from our home down to town and take a free shuttle to Keystone and A-Basin. Vail also offers a shuttle service. You never have to worry about paying for parking, or driving your car when you are ready to ski!

We are a definite "NON-SMOKING" home!

To sum up our home, a guest wrote, "We have skied all over the United States and Canada (including Aspen and Deer Valley), and the location, ambience, and warmth we felt in your beautiful home is unsurpassed. We look forward to being back next year!

Finally, in case you have a larger group then our log home will accommodate, we have a second home three doors away that sleeps 16, and enjoys the same ski home trail as our log cabin. Feel free to ask us about this home. We also want guests to note that we are in a wonderful nature area, and our outdoor security camera picks up visiting foxes, deer, and the occasional visiting moose and bear.

Wonderful log cabin home. Very comfortable for five people. Greatly enjoyed the short walk to the ski slopes (snow cover was thin so couldn’t really ski in or out), fireplace, hot tub, comfy beds and shower pressure. Communications with the host (Dave) was also excellent.

Really enjoyed our stay at Dave’s cabin. The location couldn’t have been better with easy access to Peak 8. Our family of 6 was very comfortable. Dave was a great host. We definitely want to come back soon!

Perfect Ski House!

We had a great week of skiing and Dave's log home was the perfect place for the 6 of us! Ski in and out right off peak 8 - great location right on the mountain bur only a quick ride to town. We'll be back for sure!

Great ski in and out family house

We thoroughly enjoyed the location - ease to walk up the road to get on the slopes and ski home as well as proximity to downtown. The house was clean and cozy and the kitchen was well equiped.

We had the best time! The home is beautiful and quaint! We have stayed in many VRBO homes, and this one is top notch. The home was very clean, comfortable and cozy. It was a true ski-in and ski-out location. David was a great host. We will be back!

Awesome

This cabin was fantastic! It was a genuine log cabin with a gorgeous stone fireplace and was stocked with everything we needed and more. The best part was its location...a true ski in/out, right off the 4 O'Clock run, and still just a quick 5 minute drive to town. The private hot tub and garage space for the car were also very much appreciated! Hopefully we will be able to visit this cabin again soon!

Wonderful week for our family

We truly enjoyed our week in Breckenridge while staying in this log home right on the ski trail. The convenience of ski in/ski out made it easy to enjoy lunch back at the home. And we relaxed in the hot tub at the end of the day after enjoying the slopes. The owner was great to work with and responded to any questions we may have had in a timely manner. We can't wait to go back and would definitely rent this home again.

Wonderful Home

We had a great stay. Everything was as advertised. We were able to be at the lift easily at 8:30 every morning we skied. It is a short ride down to town if you go, but you won't want to leave this home. We would not hesitate to stay again. Dave is fantastic to work with and give's you amazing amounts of information that will make you feel like a local if you go to town. I have already recommended this home to friends. Jim

Week in WONDERLAND

This home was everything we could have asked for and then some. It was an easy walk to the slopes wearing ski boots (and then just skied home for lunch) and we enjoyed the hot tub after exploring town and skiing. The garage was ideal and kept us from having to clear the snow off the car (the weather said originally that it wouldn’t snow and it dumped for 3 days straight!) and was great for ski storage. My son spent most afternoons sledding down the hill in the front yard and some epic family memories were made. Hope to be back in the next few years!

Amazing Vacation Home

I can’t say enough about our stay at David’s place, it was perfect and exactly what is listed. If you want a true ski in/ski out, you’ve found it. The cabin was the perfect size for our family of five. Loaded with all the amenities you will need for your stay. Unknowingly, the detached garage is great for the snowy days. No scraping or cleaning off your cars, and with the plowing service David offers, we would be able to come and go effortlessly( we watched some neighbors struggle getting out of their driveway). Head down the road just a few hundred feet and you are on the slopes, incredibly convenient. All in all, this was one of the best trips we have had as a family and David’s place did a lot to contribute to its success. We will absolutely be visiting again. Thanks David!

Peace in Paradise

My husband and I arrived exhausted at this gorgeous and cozy log cabin and left totally rejuvenated after our week’s stay. We relaxed in the amazing hot tub right outside the front door enjoying the peaceful snow covered evergreens with the moon rising in between. And then there was the 2-person jacuzzi tub in the master bathroom... just glorious..The entire cabin warmed our hearts and souls and we could sense the owner’s enthusiasm and care for his guests in every communication. The restaurants in Breckenridge are fantastic and they offered wonderful take out options. When we did explore the slopes we rejoiced at how close they were... a three minute easy walk up the road. Hands down my favorite part of this property is the skiing home at the end of the day. Watch the video of this ski run that the owner has created to feel the JOY!

Excellent Location in a cozy cabin

We loved our stay here. The location is perfectly situated next to peak 8. House was well stocked with towels, condiments, toilet paper, paper towels, pretty much all the extras you will need. This was also the best VRBO host I have ever had. Dave is beyond helpful and super nice. Highly recommend this place.

Dave was an incredible host. He provided us with great directions and suggestions for our stay in his home. The ski in at the end of the day was SO EASY. The walk in the morning to the sloops was about 4-5 houses away from the driveway. Pretty easy walk. Pictures of the house were very accurate. We would stay at this home again. Amazing Log Cabin

Stop looking a mountain home in Breckinridge , this is the place to stay. For the skiers as well the non skiers in your group the location and the house was perfect. From when we made the reservation to checkout the process was seamless. This is now our go to rental in Breckenridge in any season.
