Location:
Located about 2 miles from Western Michigan University, Waldo Stadium and Kalamazoo College in the Westnedge Hill neighborhood and across from Crane Park. Crane Park has tennis courts, badminton court and a beautiful flower garden in the summer. Very nice for relaxing or letting your dog run around. Also a good spot for sunsets as you can see over the northwest side of Kalamazoo. The neighborhood to the south (up the hill) and behind are both very nice with some very nice homes located behind me on Glenwood Dr. and around the park. There is a nice apartment community located next to the house on the north side called Westnedge Hill Apartments.
Milham Park Golf Club and Gull Meadow Farms are worth checking out if an activity is on the agenda, while those looking for area attractions can visit Kalamazoo Nature Center, The AirZoo or Airway Lanes for go karts and bowling. Binder Park zoo is just about a 30 minute drive also. Looking to enjoy an event or a game while in town? See what's happening at Waldo Stadium or Wings Event Center.
It is located on the city's bus line with stops just up and down the street. Uber and Lyft are great options for getting around with only around a $6 fare to downtown. It is a 11 minute drive to Kalamazoo Municipal Airport and 50 minutes south of Grand Rapids' Airport.
Other things to note:
***Located on a busy street***
Location: Everyman's House is located on a hill on a one-way main road (Westnedge Ave.). It was built back when Westnedge was not as busy. Please be aware that traffic noise can be heard inside of house. Also it can be busy depending on the time of day and some people find it difficult to back out of the drive way. However, because of the traffic light located down the road there is always a break in the traffic to back out. Please be aware of this LOCATION issue before booking!
There are four total parking spaces with two being inside of the garage and two spaces in the driveway. Do not block driveway.
The stairs are steep and may be difficult for elderly guests but there is a bedroom located on the main floor.
Please be aware that although pets do not live on the premises I do allow them so it is a possibility that some hair/dander be found which I understand can be an issue for some guests with a severe animal allergy.
We do allow pets with a $50 per pet fee. You will also be required to agree to our pet policy. Please be sure to include that you will be bringing pets before you arrive.
If you would like early check in or late check out I will do my best to accommodate. There is a fee of $20 per hour. Please be aware that it takes up to 3 hours to clean and do laundry in between guests so availability is subject to prior/future guests requests.
I would love to give you a tour of the home and provide more info about the history of the house and information about Kalamazoo if desired but you are also welcome to just use self check-in. I am usually available but if I happen to be out of town I will have a co-host to help with any issues with the home.
Addition fees:
$50 per pet pet fee (if you would like to bring a pet)
$20 per hour for early or late check out if you would like to check in or out outside of our listed arrival/departure times. Subject to availability.
These fees can be added to your reservation after booking or you can pay cash on the day of your arrival.

Home was clean and easy to stay at. Great location for Kzoo Air Museum, shopping, restaurants and downtown. Garage was great. Kitchen well stocked. TVs in upstairs bedrooms were perfect for teens and kids. Fenced in yard would be great for children and or pets. We would stay again when in that area.
Appreciated the home. It was perfect for our short visit. It is an older home & on a busy street. Quaint inside. It is fun to stay at an older home with charming character. I do recommend removing some of the fun knick knacks on the shelves in the bathroom so guests have a place to put their toiletries. Big thanks!!
Everything about this house was wonderful. Jennifer was responsive to all my questions. Check in and check out were easy to understand. And the house itself was well maintained, extremely clean, and comfortably decorated.
Hosts were great! Property was just what we needed for a brief stay in town with our dogs in tow. Amenities were as promised and the location was very convenient.
Although it was for only 1 night, we really enjoyed our stay. The house was the perfect size for myself and 2 friends, and we especially loved spending time on the back deck.
My wife and I stayed at this wonderful place while attending a gift show. The location was perfect as was the accommodations. Our host Jenny was great and made sure we had everything we needed. Definitely would come back again.
The house was so comfortable. Had plenty of sleeping space and anything we needed. Just like being home but with 100 years of history included in its charm.
Really cold while I was visiting so I did not get to explore the area much. The house was very comfortable and clean. The owner Jenn was very responsive and helpful.
We truly enjoyed our stay here for Westerns Parents weekend. Bonus is we were able to take our dog. Great back yard for our golden puppy. Close to the main road but overall great location.
Thank you for letting us enjoy
This property worked perfectly for a girl's weekend in Kalamazoo. It is centrally located to everything! It was very clean and had everything we needed. Thank you!
Cute house with a cozy feel! We stayed for UKC Premier! The Host was hard to get ahold of at times but would reply eventually. The yard was great, a cute porch and fireplace. The house was warmer than ideal especially upstairs but downstairs was cooler! The pantry was stocked with goodies when we got there! I would definitely stay there again!
Everyman’s House served as convenient lodging for our weekend in K’zoo. We were fascinated by the background and significance of this house. It retains many of its historic features while providing modern conveniences. As mentioned, there was significant noise with heavy traffic use at certain times of the day.
