Small house consisting of a large bright living room with a double bed plus a small bed and a wood stove. A small bathroom with shower and toilet plus outdoor dry toilet, and a large kitchen with all the necessary for cooking and outdoor barbecue.
The house is in front of a small river la diane (possibility to refresh) on a large private lot planted with apple trees, interesting biotope (no culture no treatment).
Hiking trails and various tourist sites nearby, (Mont de Cerisy, Norman Switzerland, Clecy, 1 hour from Granville, 1 hour from Caen, 1 h30 from Bayeux, 45 mm Cliff, possibility of loan of bicycles.

Property was good for our dog to be outside. Tight entrance to grounds,needed to drive past turn around and enter from lane. If you want peaceful time then ideal. A bit far to reach D Day beaches,we did go to some. Good supermarkets in Vire. Take your own kettle and toaster,some cooking utensils. We managed but not ideal. Friendly host nearby.

Relaxing days in rural normandy

We had some good and calm days in the countryside. The house was appropriate for us. Weather was fine and we were most of the time sitting under the tree or hiking.

Scenic Setting But Rustic

Charming spot is as described, stone house with a brook running behind. Stayed in early March so the house had to be heated by the wood stove fairly constantly. Some wood was provided but we had to go up the hill to fill a wheelbarrow for another load. Internet access was sketchy at times. A weak signal. The source is up a steep hill in the host’s house and we only had 1 bar on our phones at best. One night we had a power outage. The host was not on the property to address the problem. The cottage was equipped with one candle and the wood stove for light. When the owner returned the next day he told us that running both the kitchen and bathroom heaters simultaneously had probably caused the outage. That would have been helpful to know. If you are looking for a rustic getaway this might suit you, but you may find yourself “unplugged.” We left three days early and weren’t offered any reduction or compensation. You get what you pay for.

Nous avons été bien reçu ,le cadre est agréable calme,manque quelques appareils ménagers dans la cuisine ( micro onde, bouilloire et facultatif une machine a laver)et manque un peu d'entretien pour le ménage mais notre séjour c'est bien passé.

Es war eine sehr schöne Zeit, mit viel Natur, Ruhe und einer wunderschönen Umgebung. Das Haus war mit allem ausgestattet, was man braucht, besonders der Holzofen macht sich sehr gut und verleiht dem Haus einen besonderen Charme! Der Aussenbereich gepflegt und der Bach direkt hinterm Haus hat mir auch sehr gut gefallen. Vielen Dank dafür

Hôte très gentil, super la maison pour 2 personnes et le chien. Idée : peut-être pour le futur des fauteuils un peu plus confortable. Environnement magnifique dans le calme, nous avons aimé beaucoup. Nous espérons revenir. Un bonjour à Laurent de Myriam, Jos et Aiko.

Un séjour plus qu’agréable. Accueillis par le propriétaire très arrangeant, idem pour le départ.Le gîte est très fonctionnel et encore plus joli que sur l’annonce, surtout l’extérieur Un bon feu pour les soirées fraîches de mai.Le ruisseau qui coule devant la maison et des oiseaux à foisonUne campagne environnante superbeAlors que demander de plus? Ein Ort zum Entspannen

Das kleine Haus am Wasser liegt ruhig wunderschön. Es ist eine Oase, um sich gut erholen zu können und die weitere Umgebung zu erkunden. Den Vermieter haben wir als sehr gastfreundlich und unkompliziert erlebt. Wir kommen gerne wieder.

Calme et tranquille

Le propriétaire est quelqu'un de très discret tout en étant disponible si nécessaire. L'endroit est parfait pour un couple qui recherche calme et tranquillité dans un cadre agréable. Le son de la rivière qui coule le long de la maison, les vaches qui paissent dans les champs, les belles routes vallonnés de Normandie, que du plaisir. Qui plus est, le gîte, qui a tout le confort nécessaire, et est situé à seulement 1h de la mer (Granville). Bref, un agréable séjour de 8 nuits, que nous espérons pouvoir réitérer.

Sejour la petite maison au bord de l'eau

Agreable sejour dans un cadre très charmant. Bon accueil du propriétaire. C'est vraiment la petite maison avec les oiseaux, le ruisseau au bord de la maison, table de jardin. Suggestion aimable : peut être un faitout pour 2 pour realiser de bons petits plats et une bouilloire. Mais tout etait bien. Sejour excellent Patricia Didier

Magnifique maison au bord de l'eau
