This was a wonderful place to stay during our “Frank Tour” weekend! The location worked out perfectly as we explored several Frank Lloyd Wright sites and other architectural gems in the area, including Muirhead Farmhouse, Laurent House, Fabyan Villa Museum & Japanese Garden, and Pettit Memorial Chapel.Unfortunately, the Rockford Art Fair was rained out during our visit, but we still had a fantastic weekend exploring the architecture and history of the area. The VRBO made a comfortable and convenient home base for the entire trip, and we would definitely recommend it to anyone planning a getaway.
It is our third time staying at this home and was just enjoyable as it was the first time around! Great neighborhood and easy to get to from around town. Definitely plan to stay again when back to visit family!
We stayed in Rockford just one night for a family wedding, but this property was such a gorgeous little gem, I really wish we had more time there. The coved ceilings, the arched windows, the fireplace, the newly updated kitchen with navy cabinets, the thoughtful and stunning decor throughout -- it was all superb.

Thank you for being a great guest Sabrina. Glad you enjoyed the home.
Quiet neighborhood on a cobble stone street. A short walk to the Rock River.House is a fun delight. Lots of fun art & various themes. Feels like a Pop Art gallery.Clean & colorful
We truly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful, modern, fun property. We never found the third BR, but the other two BR’s and loft space sufficed for us. The futon beds in the loft space are small and would work perfectly for kids. We would visit here again!
We absolutely loved the place and how conveniently located it was to where we needed to go. We love the colors and the arched windows! If we ever need somewhere to stay in Rockford again we wouldnt hesitate to reach out to see if this house is available. Thank you so much!

Thank you for choosing our home and the nice review. Come back soon!
Just the right mix of eclectic fun & practicality. Great location & neighborhood. Recommend that ownership add seating out front or perhaps some folding chairs for use out front as it’s a lovely place to relax. Also, fyi, bathtub upstairs is VERY slippery…maybe add a mat or non-slip stickers.
Beautiful villa centered in a historic neighborhood on the Rock River
We absolutely loved this house. Filled with lots of unique charm from the 1920’s and pop culture it was a wonderful place to stay. We walked across the bridge to Sinisippi Park and walked along the river. It is a beautiful neighborhood from the turn of the last century, so I highly recommend taking a walk around the neighborhood too.
The neighbors were friendly and welcoming. The back yard was a great place to sit and read a book.
Beautiful house; some minor improvements would be nice
We enjoyed the living spaces in this house which is in a lovely old neighborhood near the river. It's a good place to wander around, especially if you appreciate old architecture. The living room windows are beautiful and we enjoyed them on our sunny Saturday. Both beds were comfortable. We love all the color in the place!
Some repairs would be good: the bathroom door doesn't shut; one of the dining room chairs has a sunken seat; the overhead light in the front bedroom is either burnt out or needs wiring repaired.
The location and aesthetics of this home make for a lovely stay.
Cute, nicely decorated house, needs new mattresses in “loft”
We wanted a comfortable place to be a hangout for our family reunion with our elderly father who lives in Wesley Willows. The living room was great- a beautiful room with nice light and high ceilings, impeccably decorated. The kitchen had everything we needed for making coffee and snacking. The bedrooms were well appointed. Our only problem was the loft room has 2 box springs, not mattresses and we could not use that room. Thankfully we had read some reviews from past guests so we had a contingent plan for our 5th family member.
This is our 2nd time staying at this property. The first time was in November 21 for my son’s basketball game at RU. This visit was for his graduation. There were no hand towels, the original 32” tv is still there and it is was the subject of my complaint from the first visit and finally the cleanliness wasn’t on point this go around. We made the best of it. I recommend installing a larger tv for the living area and two additional tvs for the bedrooms.

Welcome back for your second stay.
Sorry but we are not going to install a huge TV. The home has a formal, artistic decor to it.
Hand towels were on the second shelf, right side. 8 of them.
And yours is the first out of 71 reviews that the home was not spotless. I will look into your complaint regardless.
Great house -awesome decor & in a lovely neighborhood!
I would love to come back. My daughter & I enjoyed coming “home” here after visiting the Anderson Japanese Gardens.
It was a nice area to take a wAlk too. Thanks for hosting!!
What a beautiful home in the heart of a historic area of Rockford. It was the perfect place for us to stay while in town as it was centrally located to our family living in the area, and close to the river to enjoy morning and evening walks. The home had everything you could possibly need and was beautifully decorated with fun, vibrant art and decor throughout. Wish we could have stayed longer but plan to be back in the spring, and hope to stay here again!
