About this property
Affordable Getaway for Couples or small families with Pool, WIFI and AC
Starlit Escape is an immaculate 1 bedroom 1 bath rental villa with a pool nestled in a private, forested valley on St. John's unspoiled east side. Surrounded by tropical gardens, fruit trees and wildlife, this villa offers the full Island experience. Conveniently located to all that is St John; the palm guarded white sand beaches, the Virgin Islands National Park, the many restaurants and bars, sailing, hiking, shopping and just plain relaxing await. Family owned and managed, the aptly named Starlit Escape is known for its seclusion, peacefulness and natural beauty. No detail has been left out and the owners are always accessible for any need. Air conditioned bedroom, private pool, washer and dryer, WIFI, covered decks, full kitchen, free calls to the USA, cable TV with Showtime. All amenities are included or will be provided upon request. Starlit Escape accommodates up to 4 guests, making it ideal for couples getaways, or families with small children.
On-site owner's family ensure every detail is perfect for your stay.
About St John, The US Virgin Island's Best: The still-pristine island of St. John is the smallest of the three U.S. Virgin Islands and lies just 3 miles east of St. Thomas and a mile from the nearest of the British Virgin Islands. Nearly two-thirds of the island is national park, with forests and nature trails for your enjoyment. Nature lovers will be amazed by St. John's ecological diversity, from cactus-laden desert bluffs to lush tropical forests singing with tree frogs and painted by orchids.
The true treasure of St. John is its beaches, white with soft, sugary sand and edged by coconut palms, gentle waters, and pristine coral reefs. World-famous Trunk Bay is here, as are spectacular Hawksnest Bay and Cinnamon Bay. Part of the national park land is underwater and home to amazing coral reefs, plant life, tropical fish and turtles.
Beyond the spectacular natural beauty, St. John is a colorful and artistic community filled with unique shops, boutiques and vendors. The shelves are filled with local artwork and distinctive jewelry as well as exotic imports. All of the restaurants are locally owned, each serving up tantalizing flavors and atmosphere for even the most discerning palate. Local seafood such as mahi mahi, Caribbean lobster, conch, wahoo, yellowtail snapper and tuna are always fresh and available.
Getting out on the water is a must for every Virgin Island vacation. Sailing, fishing, scuba diving and powerboat charters are widely available, as well as sea kayak and dinghy rentals. Our favorite is sailing. The fresh tradewinds, calm seas and protected anchorages make the Virgin Islands one of the top sailing destinations in the world. Hundreds of nearby islands await your exploration, all just a short boat ride away. Some of the best snorkeling and diving spots are only accessible by boat.
Many visitors will be captivated by the fascinating history of St. John and the Caribbean. From the Taino, Arawak and Carib Indians, to the days of piracy, to the Danish sugar plantations, St. John has amazing stories of slavery and freedom, rebellion and discovery. Many remnants of those days have been preserved here. Upon your exploration you will find Danish sugar mill ruins, archaeological digs, and petroglyphs from the ancient tribes that first inhabited St. John.
There is so much to do and see on this tiny 27-square-mile mountainous island that many visitors find themselves coming back year after year.

About the host
Hosted by Jared Warren
After moving to St John in 1999, I knew I was home. A year and half later, I met Angie while she was on vacation in St John. She moved in and we have been married ever since. Our baby Avalene was born here in 2012. Our home has been a passion for us for years. We have rented to over 300 different parties so far and have made life long friends through it. We endeavor to make sure you are comfortable during your stay and get everything you hope for out of the trip. Please always feel free to reach out to us for any reason during your stay be it for something you need at the home or for our years of island knowledge
Why they chose this property
This home is located in a secret valley in Coral Bay; La La Land. Its hard to find for most and many people who have lived on island for years do not even know it exists. After winding in on the road, when you come up to the house you will understand this oasis in the jungle. The landscaped grounds, and natural surroundings are magical and the home is well thought out. From Coral Bay (5 mintues drive) it is easy to access both the North and South Shore beaches as well as the East End and all of the hiking trails between. This is truly a central location on St John. Because we are owner/operators we have been able to keep our prices down and our service level up for years as many of our repeat guests will tell you.
