About this property
A Trip to Heaven | Spectacular View, Pool Table, Hot Tub
Vacationing amid the rugged Sierra Blanca doesn’t have to mean roughing it. Case in point: A Trip to Heaven, a sprawling 5-bedroom, 5-bathroom house in Ruidoso that is richly furnished and filled with little luxuries. When you’re here, you’ll understand just how fitting the name is!
As you drive up the long private roadway to the home, you’ll be impressed by the privacy—and by its huge driveway, which has room for multiple vehicles. Equally impressive is the tree-studded setting and the expansive deck designed to make the most of it. The multiple seating areas, some sunny and some shady, are ideal for sipping your morning coffee on a bright spring day or seeking out the constellations on a balmy summer night. A clay fire pit will keep you toasty on brisk autumn evenings.
You can dine on the deck as well, at several bistro tables. If you reel in any rainbow trout from the regularly stocked Alto Lake, which is less than 10 minutes away, you can cook it alfresco on the deck’s gas grill. Of course, A Trip to Heaven has a full kitchen inside as well. Open and lavishly outfitted, it includes a full array of stainless-steel appliances, cookware, and tableware galore, a wealth of storage, an island with a seat for the sous chef, and even a desk. Set up your laptop here, use the free WiFi to check out new recipes, and get cooking!
Prefer eating to cooking? You can sit down at the breakfast bar, which seats 6 people in comfortable bucket chairs or gather at the formal dining table, which seats 8 in equally splendid comfort and style. If you’re vacationing with other families, the kids can eat in one area while the adults enjoy a quieter, more leisurely meal in the other.
A Trip to Heaven’s living room, like the rest of the home, is spacious and thoughtfully furnished. The entire group can gather together to watch TV, play charades by the fireplace, or shoot pool at the regulation-size table. Multiple smaller seating areas are ideal for losing yourself in a book, surfing the web, or enjoying a quiet one-on-one chat.
Along with a flat-screen TV and generous storage, each of the 5 bedrooms has its own bathroom, so you won’t have to line up in the hallway to wait your turn before you can take a shower. The primary suite is especially pampering. The size of a studio apartment, it includes a king-size bed, a fireplace, and a sitting area complete with sofa, chair, and rocker. It opens onto the deck, and its numerous windows mean you might spy deer, wild turkeys, or bears among the trees while you relax indoors. The primary bathroom boasts both a soaking tub and a shower along with dual sinks. The 2nd bedroom also includes a king-size bed and direct access to the deck; in any other home, this would be considered the primary suite. Two additional bedrooms feature queen-size beds, and the 5th bedroom has a pair of twin beds that double as daybeds. What’s more, one of the living room sofas opens into yet another bed for 2, enabling A Trip to Heaven to sleep 12 guests in all.
When you arrive at A Trip to Heaven you’ll find the beds beautifully made up, plenty of clean towels in all 5 bathrooms, and extra bedding ready and waiting. Feel free to pack light: The house has its own full-size washer and dryer.
Whether you’re in town for skiing, hiking, fishing, biking, or gallery-hopping, you’ll love the splendor of A Trip to Heaven. Make your reservation today, and get ready for a heavenly stay.
Please remember that Ruidoso is a mountain town with snow and icy conditions during the winter. This can affect driving and parking conditions regardless of the property, driveway, or roads. 4x4 or chains may be necessary during the winter months to access your home. Maximum Vehicles 5. HOA rules prohibit loud music or activity outside the property or in common areas of the gated community.
Please Note: A pet fee of $75 applies per pet.
