About this property
Splashing Dolphins | Pet-friendly Canal-Front Home W. Boat Dock, Hot Tub + Pool
Splashing Dolphins has everything you want in a Florida home away from home—and much more! The 3-bedroom house, which sleeps nine people, includes a hot tub, multiple dining areas, an in-ground pool, a shady lanai and a boat dock with plenty of parking and a washer and dryer rounding out these five star amenities. You can bring your 4-legged companions along too; Splashing Dolphins is pet-friendly.
When it comes to first impressions, Splashing Dolphins makes a fabulous one. As you pull into the paved driveway, which has room for multiple vehicles, you’ll be greeted by palm trees swaying in the breeze. Walk around to the back of the house, and you’ll be dazzled. Here’s where you’ll find the spacious pool, with wide steps for easy access. Alongside the pool is a hot tub, perfect for soaking the day away. Please note that the pool is not heated. The brick patio surrounding the pool is furnished with chaises, chairs, a table complete with sun umbrella, and a state-of-the-art grill (dinner alfresco, anyone?). The entire space is enclosed to help keep out pesky insects while letting in plenty of sunshine—or the evening, moonlight.
The poolside patio leads to the covered lanai. Kick back on one of the marvelously cushioned chairs and while away the afternoon reading, sipping frosty drinks, and catching up with family and friends (or catching up on your sleep with a nap!). The ceiling fan will help you keep your cool on even sultry summer days. Also in the back, a pathway leads to another outdoor sitting area and, even better, a private boat dock steps from the house. The saltwater canal alongside the property flows into the Intracoastal Waterway; even if you don’t sail yourself, you can sit on the dock and fish, wave to the passing boats, and keep an eye out for dolphins and manatees. Pure bliss!
Of course, you have to head inside sometimes. At Splashing Dolphins, spending time indoors is as much a treat as relaxing outside. With its generous windows, open layout, and bright, comfortable furnishings, the home looks like something from the pages of a magazine. When you’re not on one of the plush couches watching a movie on the large flat-screen TV with cable, you can gather around the glass table in the sunny breakfast area to play a board game. There’s even a fireplace because even Florida can get chilly in winter.
The breakfast room’s table seats 4, and there’s also a formal dining room that seats at least 6 with ease, plus a breakfast bar with room for four more. The breakfast bar also serves as additional kitchen counter space. Airy, spacious, and equipped with everything from refrigerator/freezer to dishwasher to blender, Splashing Dolphins’ kitchen will please both those who love to cook and those who simply love to eat.
While all 3 of Splashing Dolphins’ bedrooms are restful spots, the primary suite is especially pampering. There’s a king-size bed, of course, plus a flat-screen TV and a door that opens directly onto the lanai, so you can walk straight to your bedroom after indulging in a midnight swim. The primary bedroom has its private bathroom as well, with both a shower and a luxurious soaking tub.
The 2nd bedroom also has a queen-size bed and a flat-screen TV. The 3rd bedroom, with twin-over-full bunk beds and yet another TV, will delight the kids. These bedrooms share the second bathroom, which includes a combination shower/tub. Expecting additional guests? One of the living room sofas opens into a queen-size bed.
