Enjoy dramatic views of the Blue Ridge Mountains from Marley’s Cabin on Wintergreen Mountain, located in the heart of Central Virginia. This beautiful home boasts 180-degree mountain and valley views in ultimate peace and quiet. Incredible sunrises and dramatic twilight scenes await year-round.

Bedrooms
With four bedrooms (2 king suites, 1 queen bedroom, dual twin) and 3½ bathrooms, there is room for your whole family. The top floor master suite offers a king bed, a trio of skylights, and a spacious bathroom with twin vanities, steam shower, soaking tub, and unparalleled views. The lower level includes a king-sized master suite with private bath and access to lower deck. A queen bedroom and dual twin bedroom complete the house, sharing a full bathroom. All bedrooms have televisions and Rokus with access to streaming content.

Common Areas
The middle level includes a spacious, comfortable living room with leather couch and chairs flanking a wood-burning fireplace, reading / bird-watching chairs, TV, and wetbar. Vaulted ceilings, floor-to-ceiling windows, and sliding glass doors open up onto a screened-in porch and a deck showcasing the beauty of the Blue Ridge Mountains beyond. Discover your inner chef in our recently renovated, well-appointed kitchen (coffee maker is a Keurig - please plan accordingly) and enjoy your culinary creations perched above the tree canopy surrounding the fully furnished rear deck … or from the comfort of our 8-person dining room table.

In addition to its 3 bedrooms, the lower level adds a game room stocked with card and board games, as well as TV, foosball table and access to the lower patio and outdoor hot tub. Tuck into one of your favorite movies from the comforts of our cozy sectional couch … or plug in your own gaming console and take on all challengers from one of our special-purpose gaming chairs.

Perfect Mountain Getaway

We loved our weekend at Marley’s Cabin! The house had all the comforts of home and more! Incredible views. High quality furnishings and kitchenware for a rental property. The hot tub was in great shape and a highlight, for sure. We’ll be back!

Wonderful stay - 3rd time we have stayed here. Wonderful views with no views of neighbors. A great kitchen and bedrooms and bathrooms recently redone. Large hot tub with great jets. Our favorite place to stay at Wintergreen.

Terrific House and Stay!

The house was terrific. Even nicer than the photos. The view from all three floors was breathtaking with unobstructed views of the mountains. Just a short drive to the ski lodge. We really enjoyed the stay and the owners were great!

Great location. Excellent mountain views from inside the house and on the deck. Great house design. Excellent for socializing with friends and family. Great hosts.Unfortunately being listed as "No Pets Allowed" does not mean that there have not been owners pets in the house. Multiple evidences of pets having been in the house and our family has significant allergies. We only stayed one night out of 13 planned.Also beware of VRBO statement of "Upfront pricing" and "All Fees Included". NOT TRUE. Our total cost included a Stay Tax of 854 which did not appear in the price quoted for the stay.

Marley’s Cabin

Beautiful home and views. Host’s are very organized, take pride in their property, and are prompt with all communications. They take a genuine interest to ensure your satisfaction, but are not intrusive. Although our stay was on the pricier side of what I wanted to spend, I didn’t regret splurging as my entire family was thoroughly satisfied with what this home offered.

Family Nature Stay at marley’s Cabin

We had a family get away with my son and wife his two small children and it was everything we hoped for. The house was spacious, well appointed with everything we needed, the view was breathtaking! There were fabulous hiking trails nearby leading to Upper Shamokin Falls that were amazing and delighted young and old and were full of natural wonders. And a fabulous hot tub and view to soak tired muscles afterwards! We can’t wait to come back!

Fall vacation

My family and I had a wonderful week at Marley’s cabin. The house was beautiful and the layout well thought out for the five of us. The view is incredible; it was the best view we saw all week! We loved sitting outside and enjoying the peace and quiet of the area. We also loved the hot tub, fireplace, and huge tv in the living area. Shannon and John were very easy to communicate with and thought of everything we would need for the week. To end our amazing week, we had a perfect view of the northern lights from our back deck :) thank you to the hosts for an amazing week of relaxation!

Our Second Home

The stay at Marley’s Cabin is never anything short of perfect. Beautiful home in a gorgeous setting. Whether we’re out and about hiking, visiting vineyards and breweries or just relaxing with a cup of coffee while sitting in the rocking chair on the porch overlooking an incredible Mountain View…it’s everything we could ever ask for and it’s why we keep coming back every year. It’s a non-negotiable on our calendar now. John and Shannon are tremendous to work with and communicate. They’ll give you space if you want it, but prepared to help and answer any questions at any time with you. They’re the best!

Annual Fall Getaway

My wife and I return to this property and location every year. It’s truly become a home away from home for us. It’s a can’t miss location and quickly become your new “happy place”. If you love to hike check out Sugar Mill Reservoir’s two hikes…in the summer you can cool off and swim in the blue hole / waterfall at end of hike. If want a more challenging hike check out Spy Rock. The trail to the summit is worth the time and effort and the 360-degree views are some of the best we’ve seen in the area. If you love wine you’re in the right spot. Countless gorgeous vineyards. Some of our favorites include Kings Family, Pollack Family and 12 Ridges. John & Shannon are 5-Star hosts and will make sure you feel right at home during your stay. Don’t hope you find a good place…stay at Marley’s Cabin. It’s second to none!

A slice of heaven!!

Second visit to Marley’s Cabin and will happily keep coming back! It’s the perfect getaway with friends or family, but don’t be fooled by the word cabin. It is spacious, yet cozy with a big stone fireplace to gather around and play games, soak in a hot tub, share meals around the dining room table, enjoy the game room, and much more. The main deck is a great place to have coffee in the morning and watch the most amazing sunrise over the valley or have drinks in the evening and see a breathtaking sunset over the mountains or stargaze. John and Shannon are fantastic hosts. They are very responsive and provided great recommendations, including local transportation for our wine tours, and left a local guide book for us to review. The cabin is very clean, organized, and well-maintained. It feels like home. Can’t wait to go back!! Thank you for a wonderful time!!!

Amazing House

This home has the wow factor. As you walk through there are views of the mountains to the east everywhere. There was even a little Happy Birthday tiara left out for my daughter. It's about a 7 minute drive to the ski area, restaurants and tubing. Other impressive items were the quality of the bedding, cool gaming chairs, numerous gathering areas, the organization of the kitchen and the privacy of the third floor master suite. The highlight of that suite should be the jetted tub, except that gets outshined by the steam shower. There is one issue the owners need to address and that is that the hot water heater is inadequate for a three bathroom. It sleeps 8 but you've got about 20 minutes of total shower time before you are out of hot water. I was there with 6 teenage girls so you can imagine. Also that beautiful two person jetted tub will only get about 2 inches of water before the hot water is gone. I'm hoping the owners will get a tankless or more robust unit, because everything else with this house is aces!

The house is warm and inviting, incredibly clean, and very well suited for gatherings of family and friends. The views are simply amazing from every room in the house and two levels of decks. There are great hikes and easy walks close by. The kitchen has everything you need to prepare simple snacks or a 5-course meal. Plus, there are great options for dine-in or take-out on the mountain or down in the VA-151 corridor. Marley's Cabin is truly a four-season destination. We can't wait to return!

We love coming to Marley’s Cabin - we have now stayed there 4 different times, and it has become a home away from home for our family. The views are second to none, the kitchen is so well stocked, the fireplace (and plentiful, dry firewood!) is fantastic, the hot tub, foosball, etc just make it the perfect place for our family get aways. I highly recommend it!
