Everything about the inside of the property is perfect. The issue with our stay was outside. First 2 nights we had very little sleep due to barking dogs. 8.00am on the 4th day we were woken by the workmen at the opposite property hammering and this continued through the day. The next day 9.00am prompt the builders started drilling with a Jack hammer. We decided to go out for the day to avoid the noise. Only to find on our return the noise was still going on. We decided to move to another property in a much quieter location. Which we had to book and pay at a extra cost. I asked for a refund for the days we were not going to stay. The owner and the host’s attitude was no one else has complained and basically wasn’t interested. I am aware building work & barking dogs does happen. But we booked the property in January 2023, I pointed out to the owner she could of notified us of potential noise. We could then have made our own mind up wether to stay there. Again the reply was no one else has complained.
I went back to the area 2 days later to video record the proof for Vrbo. The builders were still Jack hammering at the site. I am sure people have been lucky with no noise. Unfortunately we did have an issue. But the owner just shrugged her shoulders and wasn’t bothered.
