About Prominence on 30A - Watersound, Florida
Prominence is one of the most popular communities on 30A and features incredible amenities, open green spaces and easy access to over 17 miles of bike paths. Prominence is perfectly located to new and long time 30A haunts as well as the beautiful white beaches of Scenic 30A. Guests will enjoy a beautiful town center and 2 resort style pools.

Located at the town center, the Big Chill is a hot-spot for entertainment and features an outdoor 25 ft LED theater screen for sporting events and movie nights on the green. Beach Accesses for ALL Prominence homes are via South Walton public beach access points. Most Prominence guests utilize Deer Lake State Park beach access or other nearby public beach accesses. Prominence homes do not have direct beach access via Watersound Club nor do they have access to Watersound private club facilities.


INITIAL SUPPLIES - UPON ARRIVAL
Panhandle Getaways furnishes a few essential items for guests to utilize until they can get to the grocery store. Initial Supplies include: Dishwasher soap, small washing machine powder, each bathroom has amenities (like hotel but NOT restocked) shampoo, conditioner, soap bar. One roll of toilet paper in each bathroom & one paper towel roll in the kitchen. All bed linens and towels are provided. We encourage guests to bring beach towels for use at the pool and beach.

Very nicely appointed and cute decor. Everything was provided for a comfortable stay. Not ideal for littles due to the stairs. Very active neighborhood with children and adults on bikes. It was never too loud past 10:00 pm. Would definitely stay again. Don’t forget a baby gate!

The dads went golfing (although I assumed it was the nearest golf course, the courses were located in Destin. Very nice courses) moms and kids went shopping and enjoyed the pool. Having (be sure to rent) The golf cart made easy and quick access to the beach.

Our family of four stayed at this beautiful and clean condo in Watersound Beach. The condo was exactly as described and pictured. The master bath was exceptional and the kitchen had everything we needed. The community was fabulous and located right across the street from The Big Chill, with great food and nightly entertainment. We wouldn’t hesitate to stay here again.

Nice property, amazing little community. Clean, convenient - perfect for our family of 5. Only thing that would have made it better is a sectional sofa or sleeper sofa in the living room (listing says it sleeps 6-8 but not sure how that’s possible with current furniture set up) and a few more “basic” additions to the kitchen - salt / pepper, ziplock bags. Overall a great trip - We will be back.

Family fall break getaway

We really enjoyed staying at Promenience 30A. The property was great for our family. The unit was just as it was listed. The pool was clean and family friendly. Panhandle Getaway (the property management group) was very responsive. I was able to text with questions and had help with everything from reserving bikes to a golf cart. It made our trip so much easier.

The property was very comfortable and clean. The location is about 3 miles from the beach and you have to drive and park on the road past the beach access on 30A and then walked about 1/4 mile back to the beach entrance. Not awful but we didn’t realize the distance prior to booking. The condo is nice but was very bare; no salt and pepper, pan spray, plunger, etc. Nice neighborhood and plenty of activity.

Condo was just as portrayed in listing until you looked closer at cleanliness. Sinks in master bath were very slow draining. Doors to balcony were covered with greasy hand prints.

Overall a beautiful condo that was clean and bright. The listing neglects to tell you that it is on the second floor so be prepared to haul all your things up and down a flight of steps. Also- access to the beach requires a car to drive to select location not as convenient as it reads. The in-house guide was not individualized to the condo so we were not sure where the other pool and ice machine were. They advertised four bike (we had one with a flat tire) and it took me two days of texting back and forth to get the bikes - one of the reasons for the lower rating.

Overall we enjoyed the condo. It was nicely decorated and clean. However, it lacked some basic amenities.... 2 rolls of cheap 1 ply toilet paper per bathroom No Kleenex 1 small roll of cheap paper towel 2 pods ea for dishwasher and washing machine This seemed very skimpy and cheap for the amount we paid for this property I am not sure who enjoys having to buy toilet paper and laundry soap on their vacation and hand washing dishes to avoid using all the soap too soon. Also, the bikes needed some basic tuning up as one had NO brakes and another had crooked pedals.

Overwhelmed by fruit flies

We were immediately attacked by fruit flies; they were in every room and even though mgt sprayed twice, they would come back within a few hours. It was evident this was a recurring problem because mgt showed up with fruit fly traps; we had noticed identical ones already in the unit but did not know what they were. Evidently, garbage had not been removed after the last rental and they had festered since then. They were coming out of the drains, sinks, air handler, etc. Management refused to give us any type of refund or compensation (we also purchased sprays, traps, etc.) but we do plan to write to the owner in Georgia directly.

Beautiful space in a great location

We really enjoyed our stay here. Prominence is such a great area. We appreciated the bikes and all the beach equipment available. The beds were super comfortable, and the master bathroom was to die for! A few things worth noting (I didn’t take of any stars but should be addressed)- the gas range is sketch. One burner was putting out such a strong gas odor when in use it gave me a headache. So you have to turn it down really low- it took me about 45 minutes to cook Mac and cheese. Also, that kitchen is completely bare of any kind of even simple provisions- I mean not even a salt and pepper shaker to be found. It wasn’t a huge deal for us because we ate out for dinner each night, but if you want to cook a meal here you need to come prepared with every little thing. But overall, a wonderful experience!

The place was great, as was the location. However, the property management place had bad communication. I never received the guest guidebook they said they would send. The email communications did not explain that the Door check in code Would be texted at check in time, so it was unnerving when we never received it. I placed several calls to the property management office and had to leave a message. No one ever called me back. We finally just by luck found the management t office nearby and went inside. That person was helpful and ended up giving us a temporary code to get in until the real one was given. The check in was listed as 4 pm on the listing but the property management office said it is between 4&6 pm. Ours became available just after 4:00

Watersound Beach Vacay ‘23

Sunnyside Up was the perfect choice! The Hub was great for a quick bite to eat and drinks. The condo was immaculate and spacious! All the amenities were great too! 4 bikes (be aware they are rentals so not in the best condition- chains broke multiple times (almost a bad crash) but the Xplorie crew came out and fixed them pretty quick. They are also only for Adult size not Jr. Instacart delivery was the best for food and necessities- get better TP fyi (it’s less than hotel grade). We loved Watercolor - quiet & close to almost everything. Lots of beach equipment in the garage too! We did rent a Golf Cart (only one you can use is Gulf Carts 30A - great company & decent prices), we did do beach rentals to save hauling all the chairs and such - The closest public access was Walton Dunes … large area and not super crowded - maybe at the most 2 rows deal by mid morning & we used Vacazen. Great service! 2 chairs, table & umbrella for 2 days around $125 or less. Set up and tear down! (Ps no shower or bathrooms but not really an issue - parking lot is small but just to the east you can park on the street one block away after dropping off gear!) Most places we ate were in either Rosemary (no golf carts so Uber) or Seacrest/Seagrove . Contact w the condo rental company was great! The kids loved riding bikes at night around the neighborhood and it was super safe! We loved it and will be back! Thanks so much for allowing us to enjoy your space!
