About this property

Beautiful, large 3 br. townhome with pool, and 5 minute walk to the beach!

Great for families!! Built in 2006, spotless 2000 sq. ft. end-unit townhome is in excellent condition with 3 large bedrooms (sleeps 8 overall), 2.5 baths, maple floors, stainless/granite kitchen, and comfy 3-season room. McKinley Beach on Lake Michigan is a 5 minute walk away, and the property also has a nice, large, heated outdoor pool. There is outdoor parking for 2 cars right next to the unit.
Nearby in Union Pier are cute restaurants, bakery, coffee, gelato, and convenience shops within a 5-minute walk.
Very large master bedroom sleeps 4 with king bed and queen-sized daybed; 2nd upstairs bedroom sleeps 2 with queen bed and twin bunk beds (new 8" foam mattresses). 3rd bedroom on main floor sleeps 2 with queen-sized daybed (really comfy new foam mattress). There are three dining areas: 8-person main table, a granite island in the kitchen which seats 3, and a 6-person table in the 3-season room.
Property has wi-fi but does not have cable TV. Feel free to bring your own streaming devices (there are 2 flat-screen HDTVs: one in living room, the other in 3-season room).
For rainy days, Harbor Country has many excellent wineries and breweries nearby; Journeyman Distillery is in nearby Three Oaks; and Michigan City has outlet malls.
MONDAY TO SUNDAY RENTALS (6 NIGHTS) ARE REQUIRED DURING THE SUMMER RENTAL SEASON.
Dogs are welcome with $100 pet fee. Owner is allergic to cats; please do not bring a cat. Evidence of cats will result in forfeiture of entire security deposit.
Max party is 8, but parties of more than 6 require positive owner feedback reviews. This is our 2nd home and not an income property; we ask that all renters treat the unit as though it were their own home.

Great location

This is our second time staying at this unit and we were so happy to return. We love the location, having a pool available and being able to bring our dog with us. We can’t wait to return again! Owner is prompt with his responses if you need anything during your stay.

Great condo, great location!

We had a wonderful vacation staying at this location! The condo was large with lots of space to move around. The closeness to the pool was amazing for the kids. The beach was a short walk or a quick drive. The condo was clean, welcoming m, and the owners were very responsive when needed. We would definitely stay again!

This is a beautiful location and incredible home.

We had a wonderful time using the pool and going to the beach. I was concerned about the virus but their home was thoroughly sanitized. I would highly recommend this property.

A Difficult Review to Write

The house was well kept and sufficiently clean upon arrival. However, we found the layout to be a bit awkward. The location was next to some great restaurants and it was very close to the beach. The pool was also great to have. However, we did encounter a few issues. The property owners left the freezer full to the brim leaving us with no space to put our frozen goods. We also had difficulty because when we originally booked in January it stated that 10 people were allowed to stay in the property but two weeks before our arrival, the owner told us that the property could only sleep 8 and if we did not reduce our numbers we would have to find another place to stay. This was a huge inconvenience because my father had passed away the week before and I wanted to keep everyone close. We ended up uninviting my sister and having my husband sleep at home most nights. We only live an hour away, so it wasn't too bad, but not as relaxing as we would have liked. However, after our stay, I received an email detailing a list of things the owner was unsatisfied with upon our departure, although I did follow the closeout instructions. I personally felt very disrespected and judged. When I responded to his original email he replied with a far ruder email in response. When I said the cameras were offputting, he said that in the agreement it stated that there were security devices and that I must not have read thoroughly, however, when I think of security devices, cameras are not the first thing that spring to mind. I am mostly writing this review because of the tone of the owner's email, not because of the extra cleaning fees he charged me.
