About this property

Mary's Lake Cabin by Destination Big Bear : Walk to the Lake and Boulder Bay Park! Game Room!

Mary's Lake Cabin is a 1,300 square foot] Big Bear Cabin, one block from beautiful Boulder Bay Park. It has two bedrooms, two and a half bathrooms, and a recreation room with an extra bed.

Enjoy a glass of wine on the deck and take in sweeping views of the tree-lined mountains and a peak of the lake! Walk to Blanca and Pierre's Restaurant for a hearty breakfast, just 1.5 blocks away. Next door, pick up some firewood and provisions. Rent a kayak or bike only one block from the cabin! If you're there to ski and don't want to deal with parking, take the local area public bus half a block away and get to the slopes. Snow Summit and Bear Mountain are a 10-minute drive, and the Village is 5 minutes away. The trailhead to the popular Castle Rock trail is 1 mile away, which offers some of the best views of Big Bear Lake. Jump into the lake, just a block away!

Mary's Cabin is in the perfect location to enjoy all that Big Bear Lake has to offer, yet feels secluded and private. After coming home from your busy day of local activities, lounge on the deck or hot tub and take in the chirping sounds of blue jays, keep an eye out for scampering chipmunks, and breathe in the fresh pine mountain air.

The house itself was recently remodeled and tastefully decorated. The master bedroom has a queen bed and private bathroom. Wake up to spectacular views of the mountain from the master bedroom's large glass doors leading to the deck. The second bedroom has a twin-over-full bunk bed, its own fireplace, and a separate bathroom.

Complimentary high-speed wi-fi included. Get the living room fireplace going while playing some board games with your loved ones or watch a movie. In addition to the living room, there is a downstairs rec room with a third bathroom. This rec room has an additional kitchenette with a small fridge where you can stock your favorite beverages while you play pool or ping pong, or relax and watch TV. The house is fully stocked for entertainment, with board and card games, and two flatscreen smart TVs that have Hulu with live TV streaming, and thousands of movies and shows on demand. Laundry machine on site. The kitchen is fully stocked with appliances and wares to cook to your heart's desire. Serve your meals on the rustic wood dining room table with surrounding views of Boulder Bay.

Well-behaved pets welcome! There is a fully fenced in yard for your dog to roam.

Mary's Cabin is your home away from home; a cozy cabin with modern conveniences, close to year-round activities at Big Bear Lake.
The road leading to this property is steep. We recommend guests drive 4x4 vehicle and carry chains during Winter Season and snow conditions.

Not bad - BRING YOUR TOILETRIES
The layout is kind of weird, in order to access the game room and the downstairs area you have to go through the master bathroom, and if someone is using the bathroom you cannot go downstairs unless you go outside the house and walk around it. NO TOILETTERIES or hair drier, this was a first for us. We have stayed in many properties but never had one without basic toiletries such as soap, shampoo, or conditioner. This was my first time at Big Bear, so to me, it felt like the house was outside of the main town area which is not bad, BUT if you have a second vehicle, you have to park it at the main office in town, which is about a 10-minute drive. My recommendation is that if you stay at this place, make sure your whole party fits in one vehicle for convenience (this is not a con since it is the city's policy and not management's rule). Other than that, it served its purpose for the weekend : )

Best Location!
This property was situated in the perfect location, a short walk to the lake at Boulder Bay. The deck was high up with a beautiful view of the lake and mountain side. The inside had a nice breeze flowing through it and was very cozy. We will definitely look forward to returning hopefully soon!

Birthday getaway
The place was nice and clean but we couldn’t take a shower first night because there was no shampoo, conditioner or soap in any of the bathrooms. There was no coffee so we could at least make a a cup of coffee in the morning. We travel a lot and stayed in many different air b&b’s over the years and never been in any place where didn’t provide us with this basic stuff ☹️
