Great waterfront rental

This is a great place to stay, neighborhood is nice, very convenient with the marina and boat ramp on site. I would definitely stay here again.

Good location

Good location if you need a home base for visiting different locations. Close to Key West, Marathon and Bahia Honda State Park. Small issue with registration as their credit machine was not working but luckily we had cash (this was not property owners fault). It had a funky smell when we first arrived but was better after opening the windows.

Beautiful property. We had a nice, relaxing stay. Check in was fast and easy. If you plan on cooking during your stay be sure to bring condiments. Reading the reviews before I came saved me from a second trip to the grocery store.

Very happy and great communication

We were very happy, beds were comfortable and AC was cold. The owners communicated very well, they have a nest system and it notified the owners when the AC went out they called us to get permission to enter the house and the issue, she called me when it was fixed and we never would of known. Very happy overall and kids love the area and views.

Two nights, three people

The house was pretty clean and smelled good when we walked in. The bedroom just by the front door was really tight, but the master bedroom was fairly roomy even with the king bed. The rest of the house was roomy. Kitchen appliances were large and clean. We really enjoyed sitting on the back porch at night that looked out on to the canal. I read that the place had been recently remodeled, but didn't appear that extended to the master bath with a yellowing bath surround and old shower door. The kitchen floor was nice but had several large moguls, for lack of a better word, in the middle, I assume from the damp environment. The chrome bases of the kitchen chairs hadn't been cleaned in a while as they were visibly grimy. When I wiped my finger across, it left a clear mark. The electronic thermostat was set at 74, but when you touched it, a lock symbol appeared. We finagled with it but couldn't get it to come off the set temp. 74 was okay during the day, but we all like to sleep cool so were hoping to get it to 70. No luck. There were a few staples in the kitchen cupboard like some pasta, oil, spices, but everything had been opened and we weren't about to experiment with other people's food. Our biggest disappointment was there was absolutely zero coffee to be had. We arrived late the first night and were looking forward to at least one cup of coffee in the morning, but no joy. I didn't expect to be supplied with coffee for our entire stay, but even a few cheap single serves or couple of coffee pods for the Keurig would have been nice until we could get to the store. The king bed in the master was the perfect balance of firm and comfy for me and one friend, but the queen bed in the front was unbearably hard. The friend who slept there was miserable. I even laid on it myself to see what she was talking about. Yup, that was one crazy hard mattress. Several of the pillows on both beds were a bit aged and lumpy. I was quite taken aback when the owner messaged the last day and said we needed to start the dishwasher as well as load the bedding and start the washing machine to "assist the cleaner." I've never been asked to do that in any vacation rental. Not my job. I also had visions of some unexpected plumbing problem, and I was not going to be responsible for any possible water damage if something went wrong. Overall, it was an okay place for easy access to Key West but wouldn't spend that kind of money again for this location.

A Stay in May

The address listed is not helpful because it wasn't specific enough for Google maps. Not a big deal since the guards at the gate can guide you. The fee to be paid at the gate was not correct - and if you use a debit or credit card you get charged an extra amount. Cash gets the best price. The entrance is very odd with a bed one foot away from the door opening. You quickly figure out that the back door is the better option. The Venture Out community is very relaxing with nice amenities including salt water pool, hot tub, and a convenience store. It also had a perfect spot to watch sunrises.The house has a TV that wouldn't connect to the Internet - so we couldn't watch anything but that was okay because we could socialize with our friends. The kitchen was well stocked with dishes, pots/pans, utensils, coffee machines and more.

Nice resort in a good location

This cozy home was in a convenient location to Key West and had what 4 adults needed for 3 nights. We enjoyed the beds, the bicycles, and the resort amenities. The beds took up the bedrooms, so space was tight. Hot water and pressure were a challenge, as was the wifi.

The stay was good. It was close enough to wedding venue. Few things wrong when we got there. My husband fixed the closet door because it would not open n shut also a door knob was about to fall off so he tightened it.
