A SHORE THING!! Steps from North Beach! FREE golf cart on Site!

Fantastic house in quiet beach neighborhood! Home is 2170 square feet and features 2 huge wrap around porches, additional large separate deck and plenty of space to relax. Two private beach entrances are only steps away! We are only a few hundred yards from the famous Tybee Lighthouse, North Beach Grille, and all the amenities in the North Tybee area! North Beach is an actual bird sanctuary so wildlife is amazing for walks on the beach and every day, you are virtually guaranteed to see DOLPHINS right off the beach!

Update April 2024* - We purchased a brand new 4 passenger 2024 Evolution Classic Plus Golf Cart that we offer to guests only at no extra costs! And it's already on sight kept in the garage and is there for your use! If interested and we can provide more details!

The space

We have an elevator for use to haul groceries up to the second level or to use in the event someone has special mobility needs. We ask that children not use the elevator without an adult present.

Included is a cart for carrying umbrellas/chairs/towels to the beach. Please be sure to clean it out for the next guest when you leave. We have also included a few beach chairs and umbrellas for your beach enjoyment.

The Neighborhood/Area

There are two beach accesses in the neighborhood.(See aerial map in photos)

****Covid Update--- The home is located on the quiet and more or less secluded north side of the beach. There are 2 separate private beach entrances so no crowds to deal with. Once on the beach, you have the entire north point of the island to spread out. Even in the busiest weekends in normal times, you would have no problem being 25 yards or more away from any other beach goers. If you want quiet and low crowds in a beautiful spacious home, this is your place!

Our home is a short 18 mile straight shot to River St in Savannah so you have the best of all worlds (beach PLUS Savannah!). Uber/Lyft as well as taxi are readily available on Tybee Island

We are also just off of Highway 80 on the north side of the island. We are just a few hundred yards from the historic Tybee Lighthouse, North Beach Grille, and all other restaurants and shopping on North Tybee!

This house is in great location! It is clean and spacious! Our family of 5 had room to spread out or hang out together. The kitchen/living room is large and open so we could be together preparing meals or snacking. The kitchen has every gadget (pans, knives, small appliances, etc.), lots of counter space and pantry.

R&R to the max

The property location was great! Walkable to the beach as well and some shops and restaurants. The more touristy area of Tybee is just a short drive away. As much as we loved the island and the sunrise walks on the beach, we always seemed to find ourselves relaxing on the side porch between adventures. A great place to stay with family or friends

Amazing house, perfect location for everything we needed. I stayed here with my grandmas who are very limited mobility wise. The elevator was the biggest help, and the house is spacious enough to walk easily with a walker.

Sean was great in communicating with me when needed and was very nice and accommodating The property was as described and we had a great stay! The only reason I gave a ‘good’ rating is because the mattresses on the beds upstairs need replacing otherwise I would have given it an excellent rating. If the mattresses are replaced we would definitely rent the home again.

We stayed here with another family and couldn't be happier. The extra fourth room they have listed made us a little worried-ended up working just fine! Very spacious, clean, and you can't beat the location to the beach! We will definitely be back!

Super home in a nice location

Our family, including three adult children, had a great time on Tybee and A Shore Thing was just that. We thoroughly enjoyed the vibe of the northern end of the island. Owners were quick to respond to questions and the golf cart made it super easy (and fun) to get around and saved on parking fees. Great home, super location. Would rent again.

Great place for families!

We stayed a week in this home and it was great! Plenty of room, great location, very clean. The home has been remodeled and is beautiful! When we return to Tybee, we will definitely be staying here. A little advice- rent golf carts. We parked our cars and did not use them again until we left.

Time with family

We came to Tybee for me to run the Tybee Critz half and my family was able to stay together. 5 adults and a baby. The owners were great with communication and the home was beautiful. 😁

Hello, we are Sean and Katie! We live in Austin full-time, but travel frequently with our jobs so have a good feel for our favorite parts of the country. We love to ski and go to the beach. We have a dachsund Leroy is our our pride and joy, and we enjoy wine, good food, Dallas Cowboys football and just spending quality time with friends.

Why they chose this property

When we first came to Tybee Island and Savannah, we just fell in the love with the area. Our daughter is a student at Savannah College of Art and Design so we took the opportunity to kill two birds with one stone - purchase an investment home, and provide a place we can stay when we visit our daughter!

The home is beautiful and the location is perfect in a quiet higher end neighborhood that is just steps from the beach. We have since met the neighbors and have become fast friends. There is so much to do on Tybee right around the corner. We hope you love it as much as we do!
