Make memories in this designer remodeled two bedroom unit in a historic 1930's duplex, located minutes from Downtown Phoenix. Original plank wood floors, lots of preserved original details, coupled with modern amenities like a remodeled kitchen and bathroom. The upstairs is a large loft with a king bed. Downstairs bedroom has a queen bed. The couch in the living room is two halves that are twin sized, if you need the extra space. The space is stocked with everything you may need.

Phoenix retreat

The host was very hospitable & always a message away if needed. The house is very eclectic yet tasteful! I went on a morning run daily & the neighborhood was always quiet. Great location. It was a 20 minute commute to Scottsdale. & no more than 10 minutes from the hip restaurants Tempe offer's. I was able to park under the canopy every time I arrived. Everything about the experience was 5 star’s!

Just okay

Quirky house, location close to where we needed to be. Did not appreciate only 2 flimsy bath towels when reservation was for 3 people and only 2 towels were provided. I messaged host upon arrival, no answer until next day. I asked again for more towels, and was ignored. Also, there were no extra blankets or sheets for the downstairs sofa bed. Air filter was pretty gross and neglected. Just strange and not the most pleasant experience, paying so much money and missing some much needed basics.

Wonderful!

Absolutely love this home. It is so unique and decorated just wonderfully! The quirks of this historical home are charming yet comfortable and in a great area. Food everywhere and close to lots of great activities! The owner is amazing at communicating and responds right away. A funky neighbourhood. You can tell that this home is well cared for and a work of love!

Great Owner, Great Place!

We stayed here for a month and loved it! Greg was super communicative and responsive to our needs. Comfy beds and furniture, awesome shower, enclosed backyard for the dog, very serviceable kitchen and outdoor grill, funky, hip neighborhood - it was all great. Also, the upstairs bedroom is actually bigger/roomier than it looks in the photo and both bedrooms had good sized closets. Highly recommend!

Very cute place! Nice stay

We loved our stay in the rental. With historic charm still intact like original hard wood floors this was such a cute house. So many nice upgrades and the decor is a great touch. Attention to detail is much appreciated. Communication with the host was amazing. He was very flexible and responded to messages in a very timely manner. Would definitely recommend to anyone looking at this property. Only good things to say!

Very nice stay

From the onset due to a few initial questions, I was impressed with Greg’s quick response. The unit is very well appointed with all the basic necessities. We felt very comfortable with our stay. The only suggestion i have is putting the microwave in a stand as it was put away underneath the cabinet. But overall I recommend this property. Thanks Greg.

Greg was very flexible with our booking & a great communicator throughout. The kitchen was large & well furnished except for lacking a dish towel. Bathroom was small but adequate, bed was comfortable. Parking was good, right in front of the house, & Greg’s recommended taco eateries were great, especially La Santisima!

Perfect for us!

We booked this VRBO for our stay in Phoenix for a private adoption. From the get go Greg was very quick about answering our questions prior to booking. Due to the nature of our visit the time we would be in Arizona was a bit of a mystery. Greg was more than accommodating as the delivery date grew closer. We actually ended up not needing the VRBO for the whole time as we were able to get back to Florida sooner than expected and Greg was more than understanding. The property itself is great. The location is great. Close to the airport and hospitals as well as shopping. The area appeared very safe and quiet at night. My wife and I felt comfortable leaving after dark to run and buy diapers! Greg has stocked the house nicely and it has all the basics you would need to feel at home. i HIGHLY recommend the furry white blanket that he has in the upstairs bedroom...it was perfect for our new family to snuggle up on the couch and watch some Netflix!! Bathroom is small but served it purpose. Water pressure is AWESOME and hot. It is a really cute duplex, older home which we love and has nice wood floors and feels very cozy. Check in/out was super simple and easier than expected. Outside of the property just being perfect for our needs I cannot say enough about Greg. Super quick to reply to questions (even when I asked the same one a couple of times). He even emailed me a few times through our process to see if the baby had been born and how things were going and if we needed any additional items for the house. He was awesome. I honestly don't see us going to Phoenix again anytime soon but if we do I will for sure stay here. Greg, thank you for everything and allowing our stressful busy time to be easy when it came to our accommodations. You made that part of our journey super simple!

Gem in the heart of Phoenix

We loved our stay at this adorable property!! Located close to everything we needed, great hosts who made sure there was a light on and cold water for us on our late arrival. We found just about everything we needed for our stay. The only thing they could add would be a mixing bowl. There was a surprise grill that we didn't get a chance to test out but was so thoughtful of the hosts to let us know it was available. We were a party of five adults and found the property to have plenty of room, plenty of bedding/towels etc. The decor is fantastic - not usually high on our list when choosing a property but speaks to the care put into providing an attractive and comfortable accomodation. I would highly recommend this property for any visit to the Pheonix area.

The house is comfortable and convenient. Our trip was for a family emergency and Gregory has been completely amazing in working with us. The house is awesome but I would stay anyplace the owner had based on the ease of working with the owner. It is 4 blocks from Banner Hospital which was a plus for us as we could walk there and Never rented a car. Thanks for a place that gave us relief from the stress we were going they every day.

Why they chose this property

I love the historic character and quality of properties from the past. The moment I saw this duplex, I fell in love with it. The original oak plank floors, the fireplace, the layout - it all spoke to me, and I just knew that I could create a superior rental experience here. After renting it out as a long term rental for a few years, and working out all the kinks, I approached a prominent local designer to help me create a unique short term rental unit. The result is perfect to me - I hope you feel the same way!
