Renovated Spacious Apartment In The Heart Of St Jean D'aulps
A completely renovated spacious apartment in the heart of Saint Jean d'Aulps. Furnished in a light airy style it is equipped with all the comforts of home, it provides ideal accommodation for two families and is right in the heart of the bustling town of Saint Jean d'Aulps. It is situated within a short walk of a variety of shops, restaurants, bakeries, and a butcher. Being only 100 meters from the free buses, running to the ski lifts of Morzine and Avoriaze, it is also ideal for those who wish to catch a transfer from the airport (which we are happy to arrange) and leave the car behind. For those who intend driving, the apartment has ample parking with two car parks one to either side of the building.The drive to Morzine and Avoriaze is between 10 and 15 minutes. It occupies the whole second floor (top floor) of our building offering spectacular views from every window and balcony.
Saint Jean d'Aulps “La Grande Terche” forms part of the Portes Du Soleil and is an excellent resort particularly well suited to beginners and families with its wide nursery slope. The ski school is situated directly at the telecabin. The resort is something of a well-kept secret that has played host to the French national ski championships. It has 34km of varied slopes with 16 lifts that offer fun for all levels of skier and boarder alike.
Entrance to the apartment is from the main high street. The entrance hall has a ski storage cupboard avoiding the need to take any skis, poles boards etc up to the apartment itself.
The front door to the apartment opens into a porch area off which is the WC, a double bedroom with a westerly facing balcony and entrance to the living area.
The large open plan living and dining area offers comfort for 8 people, a dining table, a wall mounted smart TV connected to the internet with satellite television, a sound dock and Wifi.
Turn right to gain access to the large modern kitchen equipped with all you would need including inductive hob, fan oven, steam / microwave oven, fridge freezer, dish washer, washing machine and tumble drier. The kitchen has east and west facing views with a four seat breakfast table looking over the town.
Three further bedrooms and two further bathrooms are accessed from the hallway running off the living area. The master bedroom is a double with ensuite. There is also a twin room and bunk room plus family bathroom from the hallway.
In total the apartment has 4 sets of French doors leading out to large balconies, which are ideal for catching the sun all day long with spectacular sunsets in the summer. The west facing balcony has a Weber barbeque for outdoor cooking.

Excellent access (15-20min drive) to the Portes du Soleil ski region. Spacious and warm apartment. Very good range of walkable shops and restaurants. Beautiful views from the sunny balcony.

Beautiful spacious apartment.
Lovely apartment, well laid out and furnished, and exceptionally clean. Really enjoyed staying in St Jean; more laid back than Morzine, but only short drive to the mountains.
Great communication from owner. Highly recommended.
Before or holiday began, we experienced an easy booking process, excellent communication with Jon, we received an extensive and very useful information pack and all of our questions were answered (of which we had many) direct through Jon.
We had complete confidence we were in for a great stay. We were not disappointed. The apartment is beautiful and very spacious - was perfect for our family of 7 and has everything you need. Beautiful décor, comfortable and very clean. The location was spot on and were able to access both Morzine and Les Gets ski lifts, a short drive away.
We feel very lucky to have had the opportunity to stay here and we hope we get the chance to stay again, in the near future. 10/10!

Beautiful apprtment.
Beautiful appartment. Everything functions. A few days however we had some problems with the warm water which was not there. A day later it was there again. No problem.
What did we miss: A tea pot. That's all. And good weather ofcours but that has got nothing to do with the appartment. Never seen so much snow and fog. It was almost impossible to ski. Only saw the sun for one hour.
Maybe this apprtment is okay for summer holidays too if you like competitive cycling like me. Lots of cols in the nabourhood.

EN PARTIE CONFORME AU DESCRIPTIF
Propriétaires charmants ( bien que nous ne les ayons pas vus), et très à l'écoute via échange de courriels...
Nous avons dès notre arrivée chercher la 3ème salle de bain ( ou douche). En fait,le logement comporte 2 salles de bain précisément et un cabinet de toilette avec lavabo ..
Les équipements sont très limités ( 8 couteaux - fourchettes et petites cuillers)!! pas de service à raclette ( surprenant à la montagne)... pas de cafetière électrique traditionnelle ..
la décoration intérieure raffinée ...literie parfaite et linge fourni très correct.
Je recommande ce gîte dans cette jolie région montagneuse.

Schitterend en ruim appartement
Wij,een gezelschap van 5 personen, hebben hier anderhalve week genoten van een heerlijk en ruim appartement. Op internet tevoren de foto's bekeken, dat zag er goed uit, maar bij binnenkomst werden we aangenaam getroffen: de werkelijkheid was nog mooier. Het huis is met veel zorg ingericht met gebruikmaking van eersteklas materialen. De totale inrichting is uitmuntend geoutilleerd. De ligging is centraal in het dorp aan de hoofdweg, alles is binnen handbereik. Uiteraard is het minder stil dan ergens op een bergweggetje, maar de ramen en luiken geven een goede isolatie. De aangeleverde documentatie en de snelle reacties van de eigenaar kunnen niet beter. Kortom: een waardering met 5 sterren is zeker verdiend.

Beautiful home from home
As a family of four we spent a very comfortable week in this property. The property is as described very well equipped - clean - comfortable - warm and the owner was very helpful and responded promptly to any questions we had. The village is well served (restaurants, bar that does good pizza, supermarket and baker) and for our plans (skiing in Avoriaz) the situation worked well as the ardent lift into Avoriaz is only about a 10 minute drive away and parking is easy. You could also easily ski in Morzine or Les Gets also and of course the grand terche is just up the road but alas we did not have time to do that this time.
I would recommend the property to friends and would certainly stay again. We had shopping delivered by totalchaletservices - a handy local company - which was there ready for us on our arrival.

Big modern apartment, great location and friendly helpful owner
We stayed in the apartment as a family of 7 adults and it was absolutely perfect. The bedrooms were all a very good size with ample storage. The living area and kitchen were really big, which was exactly what we wanted as previous ski apartments we have stayed in have been specially challenged!! Even so, the apartment was much bigger than we expected as it is difficult for the pictures to truly show the size of the apartment, nor do they show the view from the living room which is spectacular.
We were only a 5 minute drive from the St Jean lift station which gave us access to some great skiing, however the St Jean ski area is quite small so we bought lift passes daily and drove to Les Gets and Morzine on 3 of the days which gave us access to much more. At the end of the day there is a pub just over the road from the apartment as well as a gorgeous restaurant about another 5 minutes down the road. This was perfect for us but if you're wanting more nightlife there are taxis and buses into morzine.
There was a bakery directly below the apartment where we got breakfast every morning and a small Carrefour 5 minutes down the road, this was quite limited so we did our shopping at the big supermarket on the road in between the apartment and morzine.
Jonathan, who owns the apartment, was extremely helpful, he sent me a document with loads of information on the apartment and the surrounding area and he always replied to my emails promptly.
The only very small downsides to the apartment were the fact that it is located directly opposite to the church that has a lovely bell tower that chimes on the hour, every hour and more! And on the first night we ran out of hot water so had to plan carefully for showers and baths after that!
In all we had a really brilliant stay, the apartment is great value for money and perfect for bigger groups, it's spacious, modern and has a really nice feel to it, we'll definitely be going back!

Amazing Apartment!
We had a fantastic ski trip here. The apartment can comfortably sleep 8 and the facilities are excellent. There is access to 3 ski areas (Portes de Soleil 10 min, St Jean D'Aulps 5 min & Flaine 40 min). There are also a nice couple of bars in the village for some Apres Ski! Highly Recommend!!

Schöne und gemütliche Wohnung
Die Wohnung ist gemütlich eingerichtet, Küche gut ausgestattet. Leider liegt die Wohnung an der Hauptstraße und gegenüber ist die Kirche und die Glocken läuten zu jeder Stunde (auch Nachts). Doppelbetten sind etwas schmal und es gibt nur eine Decke dafür. Außerdem fehlt ein Raum, indem man die Skischuhe trocknen kann.

Die Wohnung befindet sich im Herzen eines traditionellen Französisch Bergdorf gelegen. Seine Lage und die Atmosphäre, die zuzüglich der Fülle von lokalen Annehmlichkeiten bietet, sind eines der Dinge, die unsere bisherigen Gäste auf den meisten positiv kommentiert haben.
Es tut mir leid Sie nicht die permanent beheizt, Baujahr, Doppeltrockenschrank im Flur zu den Schlafzimmern und Badezimmer gefunden. Besonders, da es nicht nur Jacken zu nehmen ist festgelegt, Ski- Hosen, Stiefel, sondern hat auch Regale für Helme und Handschuhe. Wir beherbergen regelmäßig acht Sätze von Kleidung darin. Ich werde den Gast Handbuch ändern, damit es mehr offensichtlich. Ich möchte auch darauf hinweisen, dass die Doppelbetten sind Standard-Doppel Dimensionen und mit Daunendecken und Kissen. Ein zusätzliches Bett Wurf war auch auf dem Bett auf Ihre Ankunft.

Susan and Jon live and work in south Lincolnshire. We have two children Oliver and Alice and have enjoyed many fantastic years holidaying in the Portes du Soleil area. We were introduced to Saint Jean d’Aulps by our friends, and frequent hosts, who had a chalet there. Following an extended period of looking for a suitable place we came across our apartment in 2013, bought and renovated it completely. We now enjoy the same holidays with our children, Oli and Alice, and our friends have a little more space!
Why they chose this property
As we were looking for an apartment rather than a Chalet we came to realise that this would usually mean that we may have to settle for less space. Then le Grenier came onto the market offering the space we were looking for and more. Measuring 130m2 it is quite a size, on top of that most of the floor space is given up to the living areas making it very comfortable for eight people.
What makes this property unique
The apartment is on the second floor of our building with large balconies to the West and East sides. We are located in the heart of the village. Within a short walk you have a Carrefour express, two bakeries, cafés, Bars, Restaurants, a superb Butcher and free buses to Avoriaz and Morzine ski lifts(Morzine lifts are only 10 minutes by car and Avoriaz lifts 20 minutes). In Summer there is also a great deal close by. - Hiking (0 m) We are directly opposite Mount Avion - Climbing (1 km) - White water Rafting, kayaking on the dranse (3 km) - Pony rides (5 km) - Lake and water sports Montriond (6 km) - Outdoor swimming pool (8 km) - Mountain Biking in the Portes du Soleil area (8 km) - Equestrian center (8 km) - Lake Geneva (25km)
