Welcome to Sugar Bear Lodge. This grand home sits across from Sugar Mountain Ski Resort in Banner Elk, perfect for a family or friend ski retreat!

Sleeping Accommodations:
This home has 3 bedrooms and 3 additional private sleeping spaces.
Main Level: Master King Room with private full bathroom, Two Queen Rooms with a shared full bath, a Full Sleeper Sofa in Living Room, half bath
Lower Level: King Room, Queen Room, Room with Twin over Twin bunk and Twin over Full Bunk, shared bathroom with a tiled shower

Step through the doors to the upscale kitchen, stocked with new furnishings and appliances for the chef in the family! Go through to the cozy living room with a gas fireplace to curl up in front of and plenty of seating for the family to enjoy and evening of laughs and memories. Just off of the kitchen and living area, the large deck hosts plenty of chairs to relax with your morning coffee and take in the views of the mountains and Sugar Mountain ski slopes. You can also see this amazing view from the master bedroom, located on the main level with king bed and en suite bathroom. Just out the french doors of the master, take advantage of the brand new sauna.

Entertain the family with a round of billiards, located in the open loft area or go down to the lower level, where you will find a poker table, dart board, arcade game, and large entertainment center for movie nights. After a day on the slopes or hiking on the nearby Blue Ridge Parkway, take a dip in the large hot tub, located just outside of the lower level or spend time around the fire pit in the private yard. This giant home is made for memories, whether you want to take it easy and put your feet up or go out and find your next adventure.

The driveway is steep and gravel. It is plowed in winter, but 4WD or AWD vehicles are needed November to April, and chains may also be necessary to access the property during winter storms. We are happy to help you find the home with the access you are most comfortable with, any time of year!

Dogs welcome $25/night each (max 2)

Firewood may be added at the time of booking or by reaching out to us more than a week in advance. You receive two wrapped bundles and a firestarter for $25/night.

Great holiday memories!

What a lovely place to celebrate our Christmas in the beautiful mountains. This home suited our needs perfectly and we had so much fun. The proximity to both Sugar and Beech mountains for skiing were excellent. We even decorated the home’s decor cactus as our Christmas tree (see photo attached). Thank you for a great memory. We will definitely book with Blue Ridge Rentals again!

Fun stay in Sugar Bear Ridge

Myself and a group of friend stayed at Sugar bear Lodge for our annual cabin trip. We loved the location and the house. The common spaces were large enough to accommodate a large group with out feeling crowded. The kitchen was also well equipped. The hot tub, firepit, pool table, and other games gave us plenty to do and were in great condition! The only thing that I would point out is that the 3 bedrooms in the basement are all connecting, so you have to walk through a bedroom to get to another bedroom and the bathroom. For some groups this might be uncomfortable and I dont feel like I could really tell how the bedrooms were connected from the pictures. Although we would definitely stay again!
