Welcome to Find the Joy, a brand-new, 4000+ square foot luxury retreat in Blowing Rock’s premier gated SweetGrass community, with access to a shared lakehouse with amenities such as a gourmet kitchen, game room, fitness center, and Wi-Fi, along with outdoor features like a patio, fire pit, sandy beach, and fishing docks where you can catch rainbow trout, and even canoes!

Nestled at the base of Grandfather Mountain and just minutes from the Blue Ridge Parkway, this home combines breathtaking mountain views with the charm of a private lake, walking trails, and exclusive community amenities.

Inside, soaring timber-frame ceilings and a grand stone fireplace set the tone for cozy gatherings. The open-concept living space flows into a chef’s kitchen with stainless appliances, granite counters, and seating for the whole group.

Step out to the expansive covered deck to enjoy fireside evenings, grill out with friends, or simply unwind surrounded by wooded privacy.

Winter, turn thermostat down to 60 degrees. (Do NOT turn off the heat or the hot tub!) Summer, turn thermostat up to 80 degrees.
Please close and lock all windows and doors, and ensure the hot tub cover is on.
Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

We did not ski. It was a birthday getaway for girl friends. Several enjoyed the walking trails, and we enjoyed a visit to Blowing Rock for shopping and dinner.

Third year we have stayed here and again we have family memories that can not ever be replaced. The host 'Nick' was very gracious in our welcoming and stay. The house was great in every way. The weather did not cooperate this year but we had so much fun with family games and 2 puzzles at the house it did not really matter that we were not able to get in a ski day..

It's also right near the Blue Ridge Parkway and just minutes to Blowing Rock.

What makes this property unique

My favorite feature is the giant outdoor fireplace and seating area! You can sit out here day or night, rain or shine, and enjoy the forested views all around.
