Bear Necessities is a beautiful log cabin that is located approximately 2 miles from the main parkway in Pigeon Forge.

This cozy cabin is tucked away in the mountains of Pigeon Forge and is the perfect place to relax while visiting the Smoky Mountains.

The cabin features 2 king beds, 2 baths, sleeps 4. WIFI, Hot Tub, and two Covered Decks/Porches, Charcoal Park Grill, Washer and Dryer.

The cabin features a spacious open living/dining area with a beautiful wood burning fireplace, Tile floors, leather sofa, 50' Flat Screen TV with DVD Player, furnished kitchen with new modern appliances, and a dining area that seats 4.

The main level bedroom offers a king bed, 32' Flat Screen TV, a private bath is also located on the main level.

The upstairs features a king bed and is open to the lower level, 32 inch TV. A private bath is also on the upper level.

The cabin has two large covered porches. The porch facing the valley has an awesome view of Pigeon Forge. It features the hot tub, 4 rockers and picnic table with four chairs. A park charcoal grill is located in the yard off the front porch.

This cabin gives you the true feeling of mountain living. All the attractions that Pigeon Forge has to offer is only a short drive down the mountain including the new Alpine Slide which is less than a 1 mile from the cabin, Dolly wood is 5 miles and the LaConte Center is 2.7miles. Gatlinburg is 12 miles and Townsend is 16. Guest really enjoy the handy location and peacefulness of the area.

Cozy cabin

This cabin is so cozy and a perfect location to the local attractions. The cabin has all the amenities you need and the hot tub was very clean. Would definitely recommend staying here.

Smoky mountain Christmas

We stayed December 23rd-26th and had an absolute amazing experience. The host was very easy to communicate with anything we needed. The cabin was very clean and had everything we needed to make Christmas morning breakfast. It was private yet minutes from the island and anything you may need. We have found our new favorite cabin/hosts and will be back very very soon! Clean, cozy, all amenities worked as they should. Best rental experience we've ever had!

Perfect!!!

The cabin was absolutely beautiful and we had everything we needed. The location was perfect. It was so convenient to everything in Pigeon Forge, yet there was such a private mountain feel and a beautiful view. The yard was gorgeous with large blooming rhododendrons. We will certainly be checking to see if this cabin is available the next time we return to the area.

Perfect Cabin - Perfect Location

This cabin was great. It was just as described and just as pictured. The location was great and provided easy access to all the dining and attractions on the parkway. Communication with the owner was also wonderful. He answered all of our questions and provided helpful information. As a family that has been to Gatlinburg a dozen times and stayed at multiple cabins, I would highly recommend this cabin. It was perfect!

Bear Necessities did not disappoint

We had an incredible stay a this cabin. The location was perfect and the lot was so nice—corner lot with only one neighbor and an impeccably maintained yard. We got to watch bears play outside our cabin at night from the comfort of the hot tub. Enjoyed hearing the birds every morning and the beautiful views. Would absolutely return.

Beautiful property. Bridge was small to cross. No propane grill like started. But still very satisfied with the cabin. Absolutely beautiful. Very clean. Will definitely go again. Need to fix outside lights as well. But still satisfied with the stay.

High Hill

We had a nice stay. Driving up the hill to the cabin was a bit of an adventure we don't want to repeat. But to be fair, it was late fall and leaves covered the road and driveway which made it hard to see, especially at night. The road was one lane except at the switchback curves, which had some extra room to pull to the side for an oncoming vehicle. The cabin was great, not the cleanest, but roomy.

Pigeon Forge Christmas Vacation

The cabin was awesome. Very clean , decorated pretty for Christmas. We has everything we needed and more. We enjoyed coffee and hot chocolate that was there at the cabin. We had a fire in the fireplace every night. Our son took over the upstairs. Lol. He loved his huge bed, having his own bathroom and even used the jacuzzi. We did wind up leaving around 2:00am and having to get a hotel in Pigeon Forge for the rest of our last night there because of the weather. It was pouring rain then snow and the temp dropped fast. As good as being snowed in down there in the cabin sounded, we wanted to get home for Christmas and had to pick up a puppy for our son's Christmas present on the way home. Overall, we had a lot of fun, made some awesome memories and loved our time there at the cabin. Thank you ❤️

Our stay at this cabin was absolutely amazing! Everything was spotless from the moment we arrived — you can really tell the owners take pride in keeping it clean and comfortable. The location couldn’t have been better; it’s close to all the main attractions in Pigeon Forge, but still tucked away enough to give you that peaceful, secluded mountain vibe.We loved relaxing in the hot tub after long days exploring, and the high-speed internet made it easy to stream movies and stay connected. Fresh towels were provided during our stay, which was a really nice touch. Even with one cabin nearby, it still felt private and quiet — the perfect balance between convenience and tranquility.We would absolutely stay here again and highly recommend this cabin to anyone looking for a cozy, clean, and relaxing getaway near all the action!

We have been coming to the mountains ever since we were kids and actually came here for our Honeymoon. Throughout the years we have enjoyed the numerous hikes of Mt LeConte, Rainbow Falls, The Chimneys, Alum Cave and many others with the awesome views The Great Smokey Mountains have to offer. I have been a school teacher for The Walker County School system for 23 years. Greg has been with Alabama Power Company for over 35 years and works as a Fuels Manager. We both grew up and still reside in very small town called Goodsprings south of Jasper Alabama. We hope you enjoy our cabin. We look forward to hearing about your great experiences.
